When I went to take the trailer in they said they couldn't do it, and I would have to bring it to their Moscow location, no problem. I dropped the trailer off in Moscow. Two weeks later, I got a call from the tech stating he couldn't get the parts (they are the only dealer in the area, and the only entity the manufacturer will send parts to). I was told he would get me a quote for a custom made part and quote from a local welder to fix the old part. No quote was ever provided. A week later I got a call from the dealer telling me to come pick up my trailer. When I arrived to pick up my trailer, it was taken apart and in no condition to drive off the lot. I called, no answer, I texted, no answer. I then had to come back that weekend with my tools to put the thing back together. I found the beds were soaked because the trailer was left unsecured for what had to be days. In the end, my camper sustained damage while in their care and a month of my time was waisted. I was lied to by every member of their team I had the pleasure of working with. NEVER should you ever do business with these fools.

WARNING: DECEPTIVE PRACTICES I took my van to Mountain View…read moreauto after a road hazard incident that caused a catalytic converter code to be thrown. P0430 for catalytic converter insufficiency. I explained to Mountain View auto what happened and what I needed for my insurance company. When I went to pick up my quote, Roger accidentally deleted it and was working to create a new one. I had my nearly 2-year-old daughter with me, and she was getting quite fussy as I wasn't prepared to stay for a significant amount of time. Roger addressed many things that he felt were wrong with my van. However, not once did he address why I had brought my van into them in the first place. He emailed me a quote, as you'll see in the pictures, for all of this work that he said needed to be done. For some reason, on the quote it says "customer States that..." I never states any of it. I was angry that he did not address the initial issue. Instead, he said that I should return the Meineke as it may be under warranty. Well, this could be true, but I'm thinking that the warranty is likely not going to cover a road hazard. Regardless, my dad and I went to the next business day to get my van and take it over to Meinicke, as Roger had suggested. He was visibly angry about us doing this despite it being his recommendation. Within 30 minutes of assessing the van, Meineke had an answer for me . A hole had been torn in my flex pipe that leads to the catalytic converter. This was causing it to code P0430.. It may have caused catalytic converter damage as well. I will know more after the weekend. The photo below is a picture of my flex pipe off of my van where the damage occurred. Damage that Mountain View auto ultimately failed to see and assess. I am a single parent, a graduate student, and I work hard for my money when I can. I canceled an appointment to get my teeth fixed because it was more important to have a safe car for my daughter to be in than to fix my teeth. I cannot begin to express the level of anger that I have for this company trying to take advantage of a woman and a parent in the way that they have. I did ask Meineke to do a thorough investigation of the van to see if anything else needed to be done, and there is not. Of course, I will keep up with the preventative maintenance, but that is going to cost me far less than $2800. The catalytic converter, while spendy, is thankfully covered by my insurance under the incident. Roger should try padding his pocketbook by doing honest work instead of trying to take advantage of somebody who can barely afford the work.

One time was for my car that overheated. The guy tried charging me to drive my car around to make it overheat as they couldn't get it to do so in the shop. For half an hour. After they'd run some diagnostics and determined a fan was dead... When I balked at that he took the charge off, so that made me think I should go back again. Well, one time I went back and got the owner so everything was fine. Took a long time, but the car overheated again and so was everyone else's car. No charge for driving it around this time. Great. Go back for an oil change on my nearly brand new full synthetic car and get the younger, taller guy again. Seems to take awhile (1+ hrs for an appointment), but fine. While I'm waiting someone walks in and tosses a calendar on the counter. Guy (who is supposedly changing my oil) is in the office and says, "oh, I must have forgot that. I had to test drive your car so I ran some errands while I was at it." What? Doesn't sound even slightly professional to do... and makes me feel better for not wanting to pay him to "test drive" my car. Moving on... I go to pay and ask the guy what he thinks about Toyota's 10,000 miles between oil changes policy because it freaks me out and I was wondering if 5-6,000 was more reasonable. Guy tells me (I'm a woman), "I always write 3,000 because everyone should get an oil change every 3,000 miles. And people usually go over anyway" and gives me this condescending grin. At that point I'm over it and just leave. A large plus of using (and paying for) full synthetic is that it goes for longer, so that line is just BS for some unassuming customer. Well, my fiancé (who loves Freeman Creek, but always seems to deal with the owner) just got his oil changed. Full synthetic on a Toyota with more miles than mine. Low and behold, he's not due back for an oil change for 5,000 miles. So, the younger guy is either misogynistic or screwing over all of his customers. Either way, I get the impression the guy I always have to deal with isn't going anywhere so I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I'm just glad it's only been minor things so far and, even though the guy may not believe it because I'm a woman, I can count and add 2000 miles to when he told me to be back in the shop for an oil change.
