We turned back and tried the ford dealership but being as it was Saturday afternoon they would not be able to help us until next week. We went to the auto zone place on their recommendation. The staff did the code reader diagnostic, told us what was wrong assisted with getting the part and pointers on replacing. It was 98 degrees out and we have small children. They even brought us out a water bottle. Appreciated that extra step!

The plug-in needed to be replaced, and when the new one arrived, I had the worst luck getting it installed because it was to be plugged into something that wasn't secure. At my age, I also could not crouch down, twist, and manipulate my body to reach and finish the task. I called Progressive and was told that any Auto accessory establishment could assist, so I took my car to AutoZone on 21st St. in Lewiston, Idaho. Even though I wasn't a purchasing customer, when I walked in and explained my situation, Whitney D immediately volunteered to help. Though this task had to be attempted in the most uncomfortable position and with no secure backing to assure it was plugged in, she managed to get it installed! She didn't complain or say any of the many words that spewed from my mouth when I attempted. Whitney D is an amazing example of a competent employee whose actions reflect her dedication to customer service with AutoZone, and she should be commended.

    I'll never shop here again. The customer service was horrendous. Nothing like getting yelled at by…read morethe customer service lady for their mistake. I bought an oil filter to change my oil. They gave me the wrong filter. The filter went on the car but did not seal. When I turned the car on, the oil blasted out all over my shop floor. I called and the manager told me sorry, and they would make it right. I tell him thanks, it's alright, everyone makes mistakes. My wife was by Napa in Lewiston, so I asked her to grab me an oil filter, some floor dry and oil, so she didn't have to drive across town over to Clarkston. I couldn't drive my car with no filter or oil. I told the manager at O'Rielly's she was buying the stuff at Napa. He told me they would make it right and reimburse me. When I went in, I was very patient. The lady farted around for at least a half hour. I was very patient until the lady at the front started yelling at me because I had my wife grab the stuff at Napa. She said in a very angry voice, "NEXT TIME WHEN YOU BUY SOMETHING FROM US AND YOU NEED A REPLACEMENT, BUY IT FROM US. I looked at her in disbelief and said, "Please make sure next time when I come in for something you give me the right product. My shop is a huge mess. Are you going to come clean it up? Now, I have to go home and clean it up. I'm the one who has wasted a ton of time. I'm the one who had to come back over here to get reimbursed. I'll tell you what, you make sure I get the correct part, and neither one of us will be in this mess. " She stomped off and went to the back. No apology. No sorry for the mistake, but yelled at and chewed out by the service person. I know where I won't buy anything again. Rarely do I get angry, but the way she acted, when it was their mistake, is unacceptable and not a good way to do business.
