The staff, Joe and Maddie were fun, welcoming, humorous , and incredibly knowledgeable, making everyone feel comfortable and safe while still delivering an exciting adventure. Maddie was exceptional at keeping everyone hydrated continuously handing out waters to everyone, chatted with the guests and made sure we were having fun. Joe, is an very funny, fun and exceptional driver and kept us all very safe while navigating a very busy day on the river and even allowing us to have a little fun on the way down and see a little water on the windshield ;) All while always keeping safety in mind. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the guides shared so many historical interesting facts about the area's history, wildlife, and geology along the way, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Their passion for what they do really shows. They stopped to let us swim and picked a spot that we had all to ourselves! Later they provided a thoughtful box lunch which was very good! Sandwich, chips, carrots with ranch dip, cookie and a granola bar! Whether you're a first-time visitor or someone who just loves the outdoors, this is an experience that's well worth it. The combination of beautiful views, historical points, continuous education on the area and its settlers and outstanding customer service made for a day we'll never forget. One night would've been enough unless you're big into fast boating. On the bright side, no annoying rap or music blaring from any campsite. Nice neighbors. Same with Ponderosa State Park. Just that Ponderosa exceeded expectations. 5 stars. Especially with the miles of beautiful ponderosa pine tree nice trails and bike trails. But mosquitos there now in July. Update: I hear stinkin rap. Stop that nasty stuff. Anyway, this is not a place I would return, sad as it sounds. It's just not that great.

It is very well maintained and has clean bathrooms. While walking the dogs around the large baseball and soccer fields, we ended up at the Pickleball courts. The courts looked very new and were filled with super nice people who said hello to me and my dogs and even offered to let me borrow a paddle to play. There is also a large playground area for children and a Disc Golf course. This Oregonian enjoyed everything about Lewiston, and this park was a great place to visit. Enjoy!

The weekend we were here- every camper was friendly, weather was fabulous and it's another really clean state park campground. Another win for Idaho's state park facilities!
