Moscow's only dog park....could be better…read more What it has going for it: - decent size area for dogs to play - water source in run for dogs - parking right outside dog park - fencing and gates are adequate - shelter area in middle of dog park for humans - some shade trees - port-a-potty right outside dog park entrance What it has going against it: - only one large dog run (no small dog run) - ground cover is grass & dirt (gets muddy easily) Being the only dog park in the area, it's sort of a better than nothing deal here. Add an area for smaller dogs(can easily add since there is already a 2nd entry area) more seating, better ground cover & better fencing/gates, this could be potentially a 4 star dog park/run

I like that they have kiddie pools and a water system to fill them up or to use a hose to wash your dog off after they get dusty or muddy. My dogs are very happy after an hour here, most dogs are very friendly and play well. Everyone so far watches their dogs and picks up after them, breaking up any aggression. Every now and then, sure, you may get alpha's & beta's quarreling, but come on, they are dogs. It happens.

The campsites are right up against the river but not easy to access the river from the cottonwood…read moreloop where we stayed. Camping was spread out nicely and it was pleasant. Cottonwood doesn't have hookups. I saw an equal number of RVs dry camping as tents there. Lots of kids and families. There is a visitor's center that's very educational about the Lewis and Clark expedition and it's free to visit. Highly recommend visiting the visitors center and watching the free movie.

We love the Lewiston area but the state park at Hells Gate has had novmaintenance or improvements…read morefor at keast 20 yeaMrs or more. Dark spidery bathrooms, dying trees, brown grass and a $10 dollat dumping fee added to campers in the park after charging a huge fee to out of state campers. I was raised in Lewiston area and will never camp there again until improvements made . we paid almost $75 a night plus a $10 fee to dump for dry grass and ugly dark outdated bathrooms and horrible showers wit lots of spiders.

It's a fun outing whether you're visiting with family or looking for a casual date-night activity. Parking was a little tricky, but once we got there it was easy and enjoyable to walk through the displays. The lights were festive and made for a nice, relaxed stroll. They also had drinks and snacks available for purchase, which was a nice touch. If I'm in Idaho again during the holidays, I would definitely come back.

One of my favorite parks in Pullman…read more We pause here for brief walks* year-round but it's definitely the best when all the flowers are planted and blooming. We usually only see 1-2 other parked cars when we visit so it's peaceful. Notes: + Great spot for photos + Sometimes closed for private events + We've seen deer and bunnies here *It's not a great place for a long walk unless you don't mind walking in circles.

This is a nice little somewhat hidden neighborhood park in Moscow, ID…read more We don't make a special trip from Pullman (15ish minute drive) to visit but are likely to pause there to enjoy the view when we're already in Moscow and not quite ready to head home yet. We haven't explored their playground yet but that'll hopefully change soon because it's starting to get warm and our little guy is starting to take his first unassisted steps.

This is a fantastic state park for tent campers!…read more Showers, friendly rangers, weekend activities for little ones and a lake full of fish. The weekend we were here- every camper was friendly, weather was fabulous and it's another really clean state park campground. Another win for Idaho's state park facilities! We were in Appaloosa #2 and despite being right off the road/near the gate it was super quiet! Great final camping trip for our summer!
