We usually only see 1-2 other parked cars when we visit so it's peaceful. Notes: + Great spot for photos + Sometimes closed for private events + We've seen deer and bunnies here *It's not a great place for a long walk unless you don't mind walking in circles.

Often when I go there during the summer, there is rap music playing on volume 9,000 and we all have to suffer through crappy music that my young child should not be subjected to. My family prefers Sunnyside, Kamiak Butte or Klemgard for Pullman parks.

Only dog park in the area.... and you must pay a fee to use…read more What it has going for it: - good size dog run - parking just outside dog run - fencing is adequate - poop bags provided - drinking water source for dogs What it has going against it: - limited seating - limited shade - entry area needs to be a double gate entry So being a fee based dog run ($5 for day pass) it is rather unique. I like the idea of forcing everyone who brings their dog here needs to produce valid current rabies & vaccination records..... cuts down on dogs getting sick, but on the flip side there probably aren't many dogs coming here...and the fee is probably the reason

The playfields, which were finally finished and ready for play last year (2011), are a great…read moreaddition to recreation around Pullman/WSU. It's split into a lower section and an upper section, each of which can be split even further into two. This allows for a variety of sports to be played. I've only actually ever played intramural softball on fields, eight teams can be playing in a given time slot on four fields. Conveniently for the WSU intramural sports, they provide checkouts for gear like softball mitts. I've also seen soccer and flag football being played on the fields. There's limited bleacher seating for the lower fields, so it can be annoying to sit and watch a game for the upper fields, the turf gets a little tiring to sit on. There is a water fountain in the middle, walkway area of the fields but the bathrooms are all the way on the outside of the playfield area by the playfield office. Parking is usually fine, but somewhat limited. During the day you can usually find the fields pretty clear, at least no scheduled play. If you're looking for some evening fun, however, there's a good chance you'll find a scheduled intramural game going on. They are very nicely kept up though.

There aren't a ton of parking spaces, but surprisingly I've never had too much trouble finding a spot. I think this is because it's such a central location that most students can easily walk.
