The wheel fence that surrounds the barn is a big draw for photographers, but inside the barn you'll…read morealso find a treasure trove of creativity! The barn has been converted to an art cooperative with a number of studios for artists. You can explore the different studios to see the art created by locals, and often you'll find several of the artists in their studios. They also have a ceramic studio and a great gift shop with local goods. They also host local events and concerts from time to time. Whether you're in the area for photography or just passing through, it is well worth a stop to visit the Artisans at the Dahmen Barn.

The Dahmen Barn, its renovation a Uniontown community effort, now houses the studios of countless…read morelocal artists, regular art exhibitions and a gift shop. Many locals probably remember it as the barn surrounded by a fence of wagon wheels, a defining characteristic that adds to its artistic charm. Open Thursdays to Sundays from 10am to 6pm, you can take a free tour through the barn to watch various artists at work and tour the exhibition. You can also purchase artwork from local artists at the gift shop. Dahmen Barn also offer classes and workshops for both adults and children, book readings and signings, and occasional performances by local musicians. This is such a quaint local attraction. Many of the events (like the tour and some of the workshops) are free, and there's such a fun, artsy feel to the place. It's also interesting to learn about the barn's history and all the work that went into its renovation. If you're interested in art at all, this is a great attraction! It's about halfway between Lewiston, ID and Pullman, WA (sixteen miles outside of each city).

I bought a couple pairs of funky (bargain buy) pants at a thrift shop that fit width wise but were…read moremuch too long ... I found this gem on Yelp & decided to check it out bc ~local business! Was a little tricky to find because they're upstairs but as long as you're on Moscow's Main Street reading door/suite signs you'll find it by the bagel place! Anyways, Amy (I think!) was super helpful and had me try on my paisley and purple pants in the dressing room & then pinned them to the length/taper I wanted while discussing my final vision. I also brought in a torn coat and they explained their pricing/labor/time for the 3 pieces very clearly and professionally so there were no surprises. I felt super comfortable and (despite poor Amy casually suffering the stench of my skating sneakers in the dressing room- I'm sorry!!) well taken care of by the gals here who called in two weeks (as they said they would) with a v fair price (as expected). Best part: my pants look frickin fabulous!!! So happy with their service- go to them if you need hemming/tailoring or any clothing repairs bc it's so worth it :) thank you!!!!

They store is a decent size for a tailor and they have multiple sewing machines/threads for their sewing classes. They play great music too :) They charge a little extra for rush hours, depending how short of a time frame you need your alterations by, but it seems reasonable. They were the only tailors I could find in the area (Spot Shop in Pullman does not offer alterations anymore) and I was so relieved that they had such great customer service. They have an area with little handmade merchandise for purchase, such as baby bibs and yoga mat holders. I got a cute chicken/rooster print boho bag. I hope they open up a stand at the Moscow Farmer's Market soon...they have such cute prints for their fabrics! I am having a bridesmaid dress hemmed and will be receiving it next week but I am sure that it will turn out great. I will be back again if I ever need alterations!
