During the week, however, Lisa contacted me again to let me know that the sale had fallen through and that the car was once again available. That was welcome news. I contacted Lisa to let her know that I would arrive as soon as possible, which happened to be towards the end of the day on Saturday the 8th. One of the salespeople, Tim, had the car waiting outside so I could take a look at it. We took it for a test drive, and I immediately told him that I was interested in purchasing it. Because it was late in the day and the bank had long since closed, I made arrangements to return on Monday to finalise the transaction. I mentioned that I had an appointment that morning to donate platelets and that I would arrive at the dealership early in the afternoon. To ensure that Mike Wilson, the Sales Manager, knew I was serious, I left him a message before leaving for my appointment. That was at around 9:30 a.m., and I was told that he would not be in until 11 o'clock. To be thorough, I also sent Lisa an email. After my donation, I headed directly from the Red Cross Centre to the dealership when I received a call from Tim informing me that the car had not only been sold but had already been delivered. If I had shown a lack of interest, seemed lukewarm about the purchase, or failed to follow up with a call or email today, I would have accepted that the situation was my own fault. I wasn't direct or positive enough. However, that simply wasn't the case. Over the weekend, I mentioned Napleton to a few people and received some negative feedback about the dealership. Since I was buying a used car rather than having one serviced, I wasn't particularly concerned. Having now experienced this level of unprofessionalism first hand, I doubt I will ever have anything to do with this company again

Buying a car can be stressful, especially when you're trying to figure out financing and make the right decision, but he never once made me feel pressured. He was honest, patient, funny, and genuinely cared about helping menot just making a sale. When my mom and I came in, he took the time to answer every question we had, explain everything clearly, and help us find the right vehicle. He even helped us figure out financing options, and I truly felt like he wanted what was best for me. The owner was just as amazing. He was kind, easy to talk to, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. You can tell they truly care about their customers. I've now had my car for about a month, and it's been running perfectly. That gave me even more confidence that I made the right choice. In a business where trust means everything, they earned mine. Their honesty, professionalism, and kindness made this one of the best car-buying experiences I've ever had. Thank you, Maaz, and everyone at Ideal Cars, for making such an important purchase feel so easy. Another thing that really impressed me is their new virtual business office -- it's something completely new in the market and made the whole process so convenient and efficient. The team in the virtual office was extremely helpful and made everything smooth and stress-free. The entire team treated me like family from start to finish. I met the most wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, not pushy and not in the slightest bit the stereotypical cheesy car sales person. Deanna was AMAZING. I can with great confidence declare that Marquardt GMC and their entire team are truly the pinnacle of what they advertise "Expect, honesty, integrity and transparency." **Worst Car Buying Experience I Have Ever Had**…read more This was by far the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a car. I had previously bought a vehicle from this dealership, which is why I was willing to come back and ready to purchase another one. Unfortunately, the way my family and I were treated this time completely changed my opinion of the dealership. From the beginning, Frank was extremely rude and seemed completely uninterested in doing business with us. I initially tried to work with Todd, who was at least respectful and professional. When we arrived, they were finishing up with another customer, and Todd was showing us the vehicle we were interested in. The difference in how that customer was treated compared with how my family and I were treated was noticeable. The vehicle was around $33,000, and I asked for $600 off the price. As a returning customer, I did not think this was an unreasonable request, especially considering I was not asking for thousands of dollars off. As soon as I made my offer, Frank became arrogant and dismissive. He made comments about how many cars they sell, how they would be fine without our business, how he was in charge, and how the price was the price. He repeatedly talked about being in the business for 20 years and never having a car they could not sell. At that point, it was no longer about the $600. It was about the complete lack of respect and professionalism we experienced. Frank's attitude made it very clear that he did not care whether he earned our business or had us as returning customers. The way he spoke to us and the comments he made were completely unnecessary and made what should have been a normal car buying experience extremely uncomfortable. I also want to address something that made this experience even more concerning. My family and I were treated noticeably differently from the customer who was there before us. Based on the circumstances and the difference in treatment, the experience left us feeling that race may have played a role in how we were treated. I cannot know what was going through their minds, but the difference was clear enough that I feel it is important to mention. Todd was at least respectful throughout the interaction, but unfortunately, that did not make up for the overall experience. I came back to this dealership because I had previously purchased a car from them, and I expected to be treated with basic respect and consideration as a returning customer. Instead, I left feeling like my business meant absolutely nothing to them. After this experience, I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. This was easily the worst car buying experience I have ever had. No matter how many cars a dealership sells or how long they have been in business, that should never be an excuse to treat customers with this level of disrespect.
