I actually don't think I can say enough about my experience at TAB Auto Brokers. This is a business owned by a father and son - Frank and Todd. They just might be the nicest people I've ever met. They seem to operate from the motto of "Just do the right thing". Their employee Tommy completes the team and extends the positive experience. Bottom line: I'd recommend this place to my friends and family, and if they're still around next time we need a car we'll check their inventory before looking anywhere else. I was looking for a specific car, 2-3 years old and still under warranty with low mileage. I went to another third-party dealership and drove one there, which was much more of a typical car sales type place. That place low-balled my trade, did the whole "I need to go check with my manager", and all the typical car sales annoyances. It also turned out that car had some brake problems which seemed suspect for a car so new. Too may red flags, so I kept looking and found a nearly identical car at Tab for nearly the same price. My wife and I went into Tab on a Friday afternoon. We met with Todd and Frank, the owners. We had called ahead and they had the car out and ready for us to look at. Todd took the time to show us the car, but not in a salesman like way but more like a friend who is loaning you their car for a weekend -- showing you the unique things about the vehicle. We compared it to some other similar cars they had in their inventory, and generally took our time. Once back from the test drive they had evaluated our trade-in and worked up their offer. It was a solid offer. We chatted for a while, and they let me know that they don't haggle, their offer is take it or leave it. I told them we weren't quite ready to make a decision right then and there was no pressure at all, just the normal (reasonable) warning that someone else could buy it. They were willing to sit and chat with us for as long as we wanted. On our drive home we compared the options and did a bit of research, decided it was for sure the car we wanted and realized that we weren't going to find a better overall deal so we called them shortly after we arrived home. We called back and the conversation was just as easy as in person, we wanted the car but needed to check into financing. They held the car for us while we compared rates, and then because of our home refinancing they held it a few days longer until we could setup the auto loan. The actual transaction of buying/selling couldn't have been easier. I had done their online application and they had things all setup with the bank financing when I arrived. A few minutes of signing the various paperwork, while their helper put on the new plates and made sure everything was cleaned out of both cars. Within about 20 minutes we were done. I compare that to buying from another dealer where it took well over an hour. One note, Frank in particular is very direct, to the point, and concise -- especially over the phone. Something I appreciate, but I imagine could rub some people the wrong way. Honestly I think it makes the whole process that much better because there's no confusion. Overall, if you're reasonable with them they'll be very accommodating. I'm confident that if they have a car you like you'll get a fair price and an easy process. read more

My husband and I had an incredibly great experience here. We just bought a Mini Cooper S, and believe me when I say it was the best deal for mileage and price - I went out of my way to disprove my husband's claim that it was a good deal. I really didn't want a car, but when I started my own research to call his bluff and saw how it compared to everywhere else in the state, we went to go check it out at Tab. (We even checked as far as Minneapolis, figuring we could fly there and drive back.) Never once did I feel pressured at all. I don't like pushy people, and I was at total peace here. The car was in great condition and they had all the paperwork on the used car, back from it's original sticker and reports of every maintenance service. All in all it was great and I'd strongly suggest everyone to at least give it a shot - you'll see right away how laid-back they are. I will certainly be coming back here for future cars. read more

I have always gone to either a traditional dealership or Carmax to buy cars and I always leave feeling like a got ripped off (sound familiar?) - not the case at TAB! I just bought my first car from them a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. Not only did I get way more for my trade in, but I got a great deal on the new car. If you are in the market for a used luxury car (BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti, Porsche, etc.) you must go here before buying anywhere else. PS- My car is still under factory warranty so I brought it to the Infiniti dealership first to get a back up sensor fixed and they wanted to charge my $150 just to look at it! So I called Todd (the owner) and he said to bring it in and he would take care of it. I got the car back 2 days later all fixed and washed - no charge! And I got a Mercedes loaner to boot! As a rule of thumb, I stay away from dealers who don't want their cars checked by a mechanic. I saw a listing for a car they have on Cars.com and emailed these guys about it. About an hour later, I got a call from the owner himself and got the good ol' "the car might be gone by tomorrow." and "it's a good car, I'm getting lots of calls about it." I haven't even seen the car yet and already, I'm feeling a lot of pressure to buy it now. When I asked if I could take the car to a mechanic, he said "Well actually, we do mind that." And he gave some excuse about how mechanics can mess with the engine and do whatever they want to it. He also said that they can arrange to have someone take a look at it for me for about $150. Again, I haven't seen the car yet. Why would I pay money for anything? And who is this "mechanic" they're gonna have check the car for me? Is he in the payroll? Sorry, I can't do business with people who are afraid of informed buyers. read more
