After an hour in waiting area (expected) service tech comes back and tells me that there is an oil leak (gasket) AND I need to replace my four wheel drive. $7985 estimated for repairs. They could have it done within a week if I leave it. Thanked him for the recommendation but I would take the vehicle back and schedule another appointment. Received car back and ABS light STILL lit up. Not even addressed. Called dealership as I was driving home to tell them the light was still on and was sent to voicemail. Never heard back Brought car to two ASE Certified mechanics who both came to same conclusion. No oil leak (drips from oil change) and four wheel drive is perfectly fine outside of recommending fluid needs to be changed. This was three years ago and engine is running perfect and have engaged the four wheel drive numerous times with zero issues. Fast forward to last month, Jeep needed suspension work (indicator light) addressed. Three mechanics all said that I needed to take it to dealership. All I could think of when each said this, don't trust Fields. Finally found a mechanic that fixed it. Happily paid him $4K as I knew he would not try to make a fast buck and was honest with me.Trust matters in any transaction not dollars. If Fields even reads this review, last four digits of my vin is 1917 to fact check my last visit and your recommendations. Beware of doing service business with this dealership.

Our sales guy, Herb, was all folksy and started out by giving us a quote for a car that was $10,000 higher than the one we were looking at. Based on our reaction, he brought another quote at full MSRP for the car we wanted. Then he started insulting our trade in. I never have understood the tactic of insulting your customer. He told us that the car was shot, the service manager didn't even want it, and they would give us $300 under the price Carmax had quoted us. Or we could sell it to Carmax, and he would pick us up. I brought up the almost $300 in sales tax we would lose, and he waved it off as not a big deal. Hmm, $300 was a big deal when they couldn't even deduct a penny from the list price or when they were deducting it from the trade in value. Then he sent over his sales manager, who started in on who knows what. We asked for our keys and left to go back to another dealership where we bought a car. This was actually the second time because we came back thinking we'd give them a second chance as the first time was Memorial Day, and they were busy. We thought that maybe the intern or new sales person had sat us down at a computer and told us to order the car we wanted was an anomaly. I believe in second chances, but in this case I would recommend that you don't even give them a first chance. There are a lot of other Hyundai dealerships.

About a month and a half ago, some lowlife stole the catalytic converter and attached 02 sensors from my vehicle overnight. I had the converter and sensors replaced at a shop through my insurance, but my Check Engine came on afterwards. The sensors were replaced first with aftermarket parts, then a second time with OEM parts, but the light kept coming on each time. My insurance authorized me to take it to the nearest VW dealer so they could diagnose the issue, and that dealer turned out to be Jennings VW. THANK GOODNESS!! I called and scheduled an appointment, and when i arrived, Michael was there to get my info and have my car looked at. He was incredibly, *incredibly* polite and friendly, and kept me well informed the whole way. I had never been to Jennings before, never purchased a vehicle from them, so it's not as if i was anyone special. I was just some random dude needing an issue diagnosed, but i was treated like a VIP customer who had purchased multiple vehicles from there. Michael explained everything to me, gave me a timeframe on how long the parts would take to arrive, the install time, etc, and i left my car. I picked up my vehicle today, and everything is in working order, just as i had hoped. I cannot sing Michael and Jennings VW's praises enough. If onlymore dealers could be as friendly and professional as Michael and Jennings VW, then

During the recall, they broke a VANOS bolt and had to remove the oil pan. While the engine was open, I agreed to replace the eccentric shaft sensor and paid ~$700. From there, the experience went downhill. They claimed my axle threads were damaged and quoted me $1,800 -- despite zero prior symptoms. After I pushed back and contacted BMW NA, they suddenly "fixed" it at no cost. Then I was told the car was ready. Within minutes of picking it up -- still on dealership property -- the engine developed a loud, aggressive rattle. I immediately returned it. What followed was a constantly shifting explanation: "metal in the oil" "just scratches" "failed bearing" "previously disassembled engine" "not our fault." At multiple points, they leaned on "prior mechanical condition" and ownership history, even though the car ran fine before their work and failed immediately after. That timing speaks for itself. It also took far too long for management to get involved. Early communication felt dismissive, and I had to push repeatedly just to get clear answers. The story kept changing depending on who I spoke to. At one point, I was told I needed to pay for a full engine replacement. After weeks of escalation and involving BMW NA, they shifted course. Final outcome: * Used engine (~93k miles) * 90-day warranty (engine only) * $1,100 out of pocket Yes, the car now runs fine. But that doesn't excuse how this was handled. This felt less like a transparent diagnosis and more like an effort to avoid responsibility until pushed. And as a final detail -- I picked up the car with the gas tank basically on reserve (~11 miles left). I'm not expecting a full tank, but after everything, that level of care says a lot. Bottom line: the car is fixed, but the process was inconsistent, reactive, and difficult to trust. If you service your car here, document everything and be prepared to advocate for yourself.
