First thing I asked was how long it would take if I dropped off the pieces, which he said it could take over a month. No issues on that given the summer time. Then I proceeded to ask for an estimate on the pieces, to which he seemed insulted and scolded me for even asking a simple question. He said if I was worried about the prices I should go to a dry-cleaners because it seemed I lacked interest in good service. He continued with a rude demeanor, to which I thanked him for his valuable time. Please explain how asking for an estimate is not something a customer should do? The only reason I asked was due to negative reviews others left on his upcharges. Never had an issue with a distinguished tailors asking them their prices, even in Europe they are not this rude. Jim, the owner was at the front desk and he was extremely helpful and welcoming. I was assisted by Carlos with my laundry and he was also very personable. When I returned to pick up my dry cleaning, another gentleman was at the front desk and the high level of customer service was maintained. My experience doing my own laundry was economical and the equipment did a great job. My dry cleaning was received when promised and I am pleased with the quality job that was done. I walked in completely clueless on a whim, tactlessly not making an appointment, and even though it was Juan's lunchbreak he still immediately took the time to see me and work with me. That said... let the man eat. Don't interrupt his break! I still feel bad about it!!! About the tailoring: Juan is just That Dude. He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. The pricing felt extremely fair and not at all like I was being overcharged for the amount and quality of work being done. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. How are men's dress shirts, even size small, unable to be pressed by the equipment? What's even stranger is I've used this place several times prior. I picked up my clothes, took them to a different cleaner and had no problem (and was charged less than what Evergreen charges)! They've lost a customer for good after this.

Went back with an Alpaca and cashmere sweater, and was so upset when they came back stretched out beyond repair. Apparently those fabrics should not be subject to green cleaning/wet methods. Also took a wool sweater which was fine and well cleaned. I have taken the sweaters to other cleaners before and NEVER had an issue. I returned to Evergreen hoping for a solution but I was unable to find a common language with the man there to discuss a resolution. It was clear that the sweater care labels had not been consulted, despite them clearly stating what fabric they are. The man even insisted the alpaca sweater was fake and he actually took out a lighter to burn some thread to check! I requested a refund and got a measly $17 after spending over $30 on the sweaters ( I probably should have demanded a replacement cost for the sweaters - alpaca sweater from Peru and Vince sweater worth over $500 - both of which are my most favorite and most worn sweaters). While this seems like a solid business with cleaning done on site, pay attention to what you send to this cleaners, and don't count on being able to discuss directly any concerns with the people who work there.
