    PNW Sliders

Stopped in for dinner at Rivertap on a quiet Sunday night. The bar wasn't crowded, which made for a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the sliders, which weren't my favorite, but the sweet potato fries more than made up for it -- perfectly salty and crisp. I wish I'd had time to sample some of their Wood Family Spirits, which looked tempting on the menu. Overall, a comfortable local spot with good vibes and great fries -- I'd give it another try next time I'm in The Dalles.

Service was friendly and helpful and a couple of them came out to say hello to our two dogs. Service was swift and we found the outside patio excellent on a bright weekday afternoon in September. My date ordered the cannonball and I the Gangster. Everything came to the table in a quick time and very hot. Overall great food, beer and service. We'll recommend highly.

Pretty good first visit. They were pretty much empty for NY day lunch. Bit of wear and tear on our booth...and my bench moved around a lot with the shifting of the guys behind me...but the place seemed clean. Decent menu options and adequate service. We tried the quesadilla and grilled chicken sandwich with corn/chicken soup. We really enjoyed it all. Quite a flavorful quesadilla compared to most.

If want an interrupted first date this is the place. Because that is what the service will give you. Lots of free time to talk because the server literally never came back. Despite the reminder of an anaphylactic dairy allergy, my salad still came out with a breadstick, smothered and butter, contaminating the whole salad. What a waste of food cost. The lady that was helping her from the kitchen was fantastic, but our waitress left something to be desired. The table next to us actually left because she never came back. This was on a Saturday when the place was basically empty with exception of us and about four at the bar.

Burger was great. They fried the potato right out of the tots though. I told the waiter straight away. Service was slow and we were in hurry, so I declined a replacement. Shocked to see there was no discount. Waiter didn't take the time to refill drinks either. Cool atmosphere, but overall not sure we'll be back.

After hiking through carpeted hills of wildflowers in the Dalles Mt Ranch, we were thirsty for an IPA and good burger. Rivertap hit the spot! Good pub and grub! First - Flag ship IPA, NW style, good bitter Bravo, Chinook and Citra hops! Great brew! Second - Service excellent! Responsive! On the ball! Friendly - lovin servin with a smile! Third - 1/3lb ground American Wagyu burger served on a locally made pan de sol bun with rich aged white cheddar, pepper smoked bacon, red onion, dill pickle chips, romaine lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli. Just what we wanted! A quality so-delish burger! Fries - yup! And side of Mediterranean soup. Fourth - Sources local ingredient, some organic greens on menu. Type of Pub and Grub I search out on Yelp. Fifth - Great outdoor seating with covers when sun is cooking or rain dancing. Cool vibe inside the bar. Looks like a side room was setting up for a guitar gig performance! As good a brew and burger I'm able to find in Portland - and we got it covered in the city. Chow out!

I had a burger called the Hell and it was spicy and juicy, with a large Hefeweizen. Will return for another.

50/50 chance of decent service/food/ entertainment. Go with friends and low expectations and you will have a mediocre time here.

Food is good, prices are a bit steep, service was ok. The Bacon wrapped Yukons are awesome and so is the drink called the Uncle Chromey.

It was a small winery so I wasn't sure what to expect but I met the guy running place and found out a little about his family legacy so after that I was sold! I can always go and buys a nice bottle of wine but I will definitely always be a fan of a wine that has history and know what it took to make! Go experience it for yourself and enjoy the entire history of their wine , you'll be amazed how much they are a part of OR state and still enjoy their journey

Located right on 2nd Street in The Dalles, it's a great place to stop if you're wandering the various tasting rooms and bare pubs in the area. Since it was my first time here, I did the flight. The first wine, the Locomotive, had me with the very light taste with hints of honey and papaya. Not one to typically drink whites, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. On a warm or even hot day, this would be perfect. As I made my way through the tasting, I found that I was enjoying several of their wines. The High Tension, their club favorite, was a full bodied blend of Syrah, Merlot and Barbera. A perfect everyday drinking wine And good for parties where you need a wine that pleases many palettes. The other standout for me was the Barbera. Very smooth, full body and slightly jammy. Since I'm in a Barbera club at Cascade Cliffs, I left with the Locomotive. I'm looking forward to a warm spring day to sit in my deck and enjoy with friends. The tasting room inside is small and simple. A picnic tables and seats out in the paved area out front, nice on a sunny day. I'll definitely be back.
