Mid-December 2025 I went to Riverside Ford Escanaba to purchase a 2025 Bronco for my wife. Since I…read moreknew one of the sales staff, I went to them first. Their "best" offer was ridiculously high, even with a family X-plan. They refused to budge and pretty much said "take it or leave it." I thanked them for their time and left. I cast a far wider net from the comfort of my home and laptop, and found a dealer in N. Indiana MORE than willing to negotiate, AND, for a 2026 model! I made my purchase, OUT THE DOOR, for nearly $6000 less than Riverside's "best" deal. The vehicle was delivered to my door by a husband/wife porter team, 480 mile one-way drive, as part of the deal. I paid exactly what I wanted to pay, OTD, the same price the Riverside people laughed at. So, if you want a new vehicle from ANY Riverside dealer in Escanaba or Iron Mountain, MI, DO NOT waste your valuable time with these sales people. They will rip you off in a heartbeat, and smile at you the whole time. Definitely go elsewhere. One of their salespersons called me mid-January asking if I was still interested in the vehicle. I thanked them, and laughed loudly, telling them what a great deal I got elsewhere. They weren't amused!

The next day it wouldn't start and was towed back to Riverside and has been there ever since -- for the last 3 months. They don't communicate, don't answer their phone or return calls. Very disappointed to say the least. I have had to contact the corporate office to escalate the case and had to involve the Michigan Attorney General office. Either repair, replace, or refund!

This is a new 2021 car. They told me If I bought the car they would send someone to my house, pick up my car and give me a loaner until my car was fixed as they would not use the body shop here in MQT, but had to be fixed at their delearship. I agreed reluctantly. Anyway, this is what service after the sale looks like at Riverside Escanaba. This is the condition of the loaner car they brought me. It was full of pet hair, doors, floors were sticky from spliage, garbage on the floors and door pockets, and the seats were filthy.

First I must admit that I am the most ignorant used car buyer alive…read more I utilized Riverside Escanaba three times and was sold a bunch of bs three times. A 2005 Yukon xl. Can't expect much got less. Second a 2008 Yukon XL never made it home, 54 miles and the oil pressure alarm came on and said stop. $1600.00 Now a 2016 Yukon Denali. $1500.00 in repairs still no air conditioning. Brake repair, ball joints replaced and alignment. Do not buy in Michigan no disclosure no recourse. I hate being lied to but good used car salesmen do it well. Can't understand why they need to screw you. Obviously very disgruntled and disappointed in what the used car industry has become.

Customer care after the sale is something I've taught to hundreds of dealerships across the…read morecountry. It's also one of the biggest complaints people have about dealerships. The lower trim fell off the door with less than 5,000 miles on the vehicle so I called their service manager and he said it wasn't covered under warranty. I bought this MAZDA on the employee plan because I worked as a MAZDA trainer for 8 years so I know it is covered under warranty. The service manager said it was due to ice buildup so it was due to lack of maintenance. Does that mean you can't drive a MAZDA in the winter??? Lol, no. After I explained this to him he said that he would order the part and fix it no charge. Why the runaround? He also said he would call when the part came in. He never called. Give me the service runaround and then not follow up... you just went from 5 stars to 2. The sales experience was fine but as usual, service blew it.
