Their "best" offer was ridiculously high, even with a family X-plan. They refused to budge and pretty much said "take it or leave it." I thanked them for their time and left. I cast a far wider net from the comfort of my home and laptop, and found a dealer in N. Indiana MORE than willing to negotiate, AND, for a 2026 model! I made my purchase, OUT THE DOOR, for nearly $6000 less than Riverside's "best" deal. The vehicle was delivered to my door by a husband/wife porter team, 480 mile one-way drive, as part of the deal. I paid exactly what I wanted to pay, OTD, the same price the Riverside people laughed at. So, if you want a new vehicle from ANY Riverside dealer in Escanaba or Iron Mountain, MI, DO NOT waste your valuable time with these sales people. They will rip you off in a heartbeat, and smile at you the whole time. Definitely go elsewhere. One of their salespersons called me mid-January asking if I was still interested in the vehicle. I thanked them, and laughed loudly, telling them what a great deal I got elsewhere. They weren't amused!

The salesman said oh i know exactly what that is we can fix it tomorrow and it will be brand new. I should of known when he said "he knew exactly what it was" that it was an easy fix that he knew there was an existing problem but he continued to tell me the car was perfect and ran great and had no accidents. Later after buying the car the wobble came back maybe after a month and come to find out from car fax the war was in a previous car wreck and was labeled as a mild crash but still. The lies and deceitfulness just to get a car sale is so evil. Even after i told the guy i was in dire need of a car to be able to bring my kids back and forth to school every day on a 30 min drive there and back. Evil Evil Evil people.

The lower trim fell off the door with less than 5,000 miles on the vehicle so I called their service manager and he said it wasn't covered under warranty. I bought this MAZDA on the employee plan because I worked as a MAZDA trainer for 8 years so I know it is covered under warranty. The service manager said it was due to ice buildup so it was due to lack of maintenance. Does that mean you can't drive a MAZDA in the winter??? Lol, no. After I explained this to him he said that he would order the part and fix it no charge. Why the runaround? He also said he would call when the part came in. He never called. Give me the service runaround and then not follow up... you just went from 5 stars to 2. The sales experience was fine but as usual, service blew it.

The salesman said they had not changed the oil so I drove it directly to a quick lube, the employee at the quick lube told me there was antifreeze in the oil. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic and we found the engine had significant damage and needed to be replaced, the mechanic also notified us that the vehicle had significant frame damage and previous frame repair, none of this was disclosed at the sale. After contacting the dealership several times I finally received a callback, I explained everything that had happened expecting they would do something to help but unfortunately all the responsibility was placed on the customer claiming we had an opportunity to inspect the vehicle and we bought it as is. I'm not a mechanic, I had no idea the vehicle was not inspected by them, they gave me a copy of the vehicle history nothing was disclosed about frame damage. I can't at the moment prove the dealership was aware of these issues but looking at it now in hindsight I can see the red flags. 1. The Engine light. 2. Not returning my calls. 3. Selling the vehicle as-is. 4. Placing the responsibility on the customer. 5. Claim they did no inspection. 6. Not offering to help in any way These all should be cause for concern for anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from them.
