Pulled into Advance, walked in, met a receptionist she called into the back for someone to take a look at the damage. He took a few notes, put together an estimate in short order. We agreed shook hands I left the tailgate and he ordered the parts. Advance kept me informed of the progress when the repair was complete we setup a time to reinstall the tailgate. Advance took my truck back in the shop. I waited in a comfortable clean area for maybe 45 min. One of the guys in the shop brought the truck around we walked out. The repaired tailgate was absolutely perfect not a ripple in the sheet metal or pucker on the corners. The gate alignment with the bed, paint match and operation was unreal. All in all a great group of people working together and it shows in the finished product.

Part of that is USAA insurance, of course, but Advance Tech made sure everything was fixed and then cleaned the truck inside and out. They went over the whole back of the truck and found issues I didn't even think of (i certainly didn't notice that the trailer outlet was damaged). They had a decent loaner car and the staff was helpful and polite even while fixing it over the end of year holidays. I highly recommend them if you need body work (or to have your car detailed because wow!)

I received a second opinion from peninsula glass and was confirmed that the repair was done improper and now my window is no longer reparable and must be replaced at a cost of $500. The guy working dropped A bunch of F bombs on me and told me to just leave without paying, then went into their system and deleted my service record in What I can only assume was an attempt to hide that they did the bad work. Called management and was told the store manager was on vacation and would reach out to me when he returned, it had been 2 weeks sisnce then today so I called and tride to talk with Tom (the manager) about it and got told "we didn't charge you what's the issue?" (Well Tom, I have to pay $500 now instead of $200 because your worker did bad work.) He then immediately hung up on me for "cussing" because I said "the issue is your Ruined my window with shity Work" I would never trust this location, bad work, disrespectful, and dishonest! And for the record this location also had to reinstall our Subaru window years ago 3 times just to do it right so this isn't my first issue here. And safelite in Madison Wisconsin had repaired all of our fleet trucks at wave communications for years and we have had multiple repairs, I am well aware of what the quality should be. I will be following up in small claims. Trying to save other from dealing with this, luckily I one who can afford this.
