Mid-December 2025 I went to Riverside Ford Escanaba to purchase a 2025 Bronco for my wife. Since I knew one of the sales staff, I went to them first. Their "best" offer was ridiculously high, even with a family X-plan. They refused to budge and pretty much said "take it or leave it." I thanked them for their time and left. I cast a far wider net from the comfort of my home and laptop, and found a dealer in N. Indiana MORE than willing to negotiate, AND, for a 2026 model! I made my purchase, OUT THE DOOR, for nearly $6000 less than Riverside's "best" deal. The vehicle was delivered to my door by a husband/wife porter team, 480 mile one-way drive, as part of the deal. I paid exactly what I wanted to pay, OTD, the same price the Riverside people laughed at. So, if you want a new vehicle from ANY Riverside dealer in Escanaba or Iron Mountain, MI, DO NOT waste your valuable time with these sales people. They will rip you off in a heartbeat, and smile at you the whole time. Definitely go elsewhere. One of their salespersons called me mid-January asking if I was still interested in the vehicle. Let's start by saying the service department was fantastic I was 470 miles from home in my electronics went out on my Ford Maverick after being serviced at a dealership that I bought the vehicle from knowing that they missed tightened a bolt on the on the battery for a recall which they should have done correctly never did causing my family some grief I want to thank Matt and the service department doing a fantastic job and getting me back on the road in less than 45 minutes I will recommend you no matter what it is God bless and happy 4th of July read more

Horrible experience. I made an appointment to look at my air-conditioning and figure out why my car shifts hard when I put it into gear and when it goes into a different gear. They referred me to someone else to fix the issue with the air conditioning which was fine because it would save me money, but didn't even bother looking at why my car was shifting hard. So I got charged $125 and they didn't even do everything I made the appointment for. When I called the other company to make an appointment, they said that issue Riverside told me I was having with my air conditioner, would not be causing the issues I'm having.$125 for nothing. read more

Pulled credit without permission!!!!!!!They are so hard up for a deal that they don't care how they treat you and they dropped my credit by over 30 points I warned them not to pull it so they sent it every where they could possibly think of when I told them it would not work in the first place and I had my own financing. A car hit totaled our vehicle just weeks before our daughter's wedding, so we were pressed for time in getting a vehicle. We found one online at Riverside Ford in Escanaba. First, they were pushy, digging for info about us. I think so they could run a credit check without asking. When we went to see the vehicle, it was not cleaned out. There were deep gouges down the liftgate caused by going under a garage door with the liftgate up. The doors had scratches from dogs. None of this was mentioned online or relayed to us by the salesperson we talked to on phone and emailed. We should have just walked. But the salesperson said the damage would be fixed "to the best of our ability". If they say that, run, don't walk to the exit. It means the salespeople and NOT the service center or body shop will attempt to fix. They painted in the gouges with a brush, and buffed out the topcoat on the doors, but alas not the scratches. They then sprayed something over that left a swirly, smeared look. Since we paid cash, it was "too bad sucker", but we could pay extra to have their body shop fix the mess they had made. We weren't going to give them more money, and frankly did not trust them not to make it worse. We took the vehicle to a body shop. We were told the paint Riverside applied on the liftgate gouges had seeped under the vehicle's paint and it was starting to bubble. Riverside had actually put a plastic dealer logo on the center back trying to cover some of the damage. When it was removed, the bubbled paint peeled right off. They had used a craft type clear coat (like the aerosol can from Menards you use on a shelf or craft project) that was NOT meant for vehicles. It actually acted as a solvent and melted the paint on the vehicle. The body shop could not believe that Riverside Ford had done this to the vehicle. It was very hard to get the melted and bubbled paint off and they had a harder time correcting the "best of their ability" fix Riverside had done than if they could have just dealt with the original problems without those "fixes". Don't trust what they say they are going to do. Their "best of their ability" promise is a trick phrase that may actually lead to more damage. read more

I would HIGHLY recommend you NOT take a vehicle here for repair. My son's insurance company recently sent his tuck to Riverside. They have had the vehicle for 3 weeks! It appears it is nowhere close to being completed. We can't seem to get any information as what the hold up is. His calls are NEVER returned. It's obvious they are annoyed with him calling by the way he is treated on the phone. This is his only vehicle, the accident occurred over 2 months ago. After dealing with a fiasco of an insurance company this is the cherry on top! Seriously would never buy a vehicle from this company and will drive for any Ford repairs that need done in the future. Girlfriend called on a car that was the feature on their website and told us it was sold (yet its still their feature car on their website 4 days later) and they had a vehicle that was just marked down and he could get us a deal on it. so we agreed on the deal price. we drove all the way from Marquette to get it. When we got there he told us he messed up and it doesn't have 3rd row seating (should have been a sign there) so we look at this car and it's a pretty good looking car. take it for a test drive and ask him for a car check report on it. it comes back with an accident on it so I'm a little iffy on it and decide its still a good deal for the year and proceed. the dealer said he had to go do something so I went outside to have a cigarette and look at the car again. I noticed the vin numbers didn't match the one we were looking at online so I immediately called my parents to have them check out what the hell was going on. It turns out that they had 2 of the same vehicle on the lot and they looked like the same exact car but one was 2 years older. They were selling us the older one while we believed we were looking at the newer one. I went inside and said well this one is a 2002 where's the 2004 and he said well that ones 2000 dollars more. So I walked off again and called my parents back that were looking up all the info online for the vehicles and they told me that the price they were charging us for the 2002 is the same price as the excellent condition one on KBB. Well this one wasn't in excellent shape it's been in an accident. So I was like well if you give me a 30 day warranty I'll but it anyways (because we really liked the car and you don't see many toyota highlanders for sale close enough to buy) he tells me he can't give us a warranty. We told him well can you get someone who can? 10 min later the floor manager comes over and proceeds to tell us he can't give us a warranty on it. I told him well the price is the same price as excellent condition on kbb so if we're paying the excellent price for it we should at least get a warranty on it. He then tells me that its illegal for him to give me a warranty on it and I'd have to pay that price without the warranty. I'm like Illegal? and he goes well it's illegal to sell the car with a warranty because "as is" cars are illegal to sell with a warranty and he can't break the law. I said well I'm not buying then and left right there. When I got home I went right online to figure out what the hell he was talking about. The only law that he could have possibly broken was the lemon law I read all about it and because even if you get a 30 day warranty on it, it counts for the lemon law. My girlfriend went to work that day and one of her clients that day ended up being a car dealer and she told him the story without telling him what dealer we were at and he knew exactly what dealer she was talking about and couldn't believe the guy was trying to tell us it was illegal for him to give us a 30 day warranty. So anyways not going back there again, he missed out because I'm planning on getting a newer double cab Toyota next tax season to fit the kids because it's hard to fit 2 car seats in a ext cab Tacoma.
