a slice of pie and a slice of pie

Their pies are delicious, sweet, unique, fresh and you can taste how fresh it is. I know I'm always getting the best quality pie when I go there. I had an addiction to their savoury taco Galette. It's the best thing I've ever tasted and everybody needs to try their Gallettes. So buttery and flaky. I live a little bit far so I can't go often but I think that's for my own health

I think there's also after school programs for children, there's help for seniors and low income people to get help navigating the various programs or grants that may be available to them. Even if, you don't need laundry, internet/computer access or help with navigating the various programs to help with property taxes, etc. just come in and grab a coffee and a snack.

Doesn't help that you haven't gotten your caffeine fix yet either but have no fear, this delightful coffee shop, laundromat, and community space combo has got you covered! All drinks are $4 or less so you can get a delicious espresso, latte, mocha, chai, tea, cold brew, or iced tea without having to break the bank. Make good use of your corona stimulus check to support this hidden gem, which is also black-owned (a HUGE plus in my book!) Oh, what's that you say? Fighting fascism got you feeling famished? The Commons offers a plethora of food items as well to satisfy you and provide the needed calories for all good community activism. Offerings include soups, chilis, pastries, and baked goods. The Commons also offers products from local vendors like Populace Coffee, GreenHouse Soups&Chili, Kaleidoscope Chocolate, Pink Elephant Products, INTU Specialty Teas, Rishi Organic Tea, On The Rise Bakery, Avalon, Sweet Potato Sensations, Nikki's Ginger Tea, Faygo, Calder Dairy, and more. The menu is minimal but mighty. I felt genuinely nourished after a vanilla bean latte, parfait, biscuit (Red Lobster-esque cheddar biscuits) / egg sandwich, and greens salad. The eggs were expertly fluffed how I like them. My friend had the lentil soup along with a tofu scramble on focaccia. We ate it all! The espresso was strong, you get real silverware and clayware/bowls. Wow! I was taken aback. And for what you're getting, the prices aren't all too bad. They could definitely be higher (don't make them higher ) I encourage any coffee shop loiterer, vegan/vegetarian, or city dweller, student, etc -- to try this spot. There are a wide variety of books in the room connected to the dining area, with book shelves filled with zines and art pieces. Also a stage? What goes on in here!? Keep up the amazing work, this is a great addition to my favorites!

I got an iced cardamom chai and it was super yummy! Had the right combination of creaminess and earthiness. The space also connects to People's Records, which is always a treat to visit. One thing I must say is that menu items are a bit limited, but the space is more than enough to keep me coming back.
