At first the place looked great - except for the lump of plants in a disarray -I'd remove them --…read moreand food seemed fine - some stuff. Wait staff flying thru and bringing dishes minutes after forcing parties to wait to eat. Winter time - icy parking lot - HUGE big truck at doorway - No handicapped was available. Decided to try again - again food straggles out - the prices went up as well - the salad they give for a $25 plate of food is served in a child kitchen dishes set - am I wrong?--- (also went up a $30) Smart TV playing all the magnificent journey the owner went on. Here is a poor town with many people desperately trying to make ends meet. 1. Most can't afford this prices- $30 -requires a real full dish salad - 2. Most people want to be able to enjoy all eateries, fairs, parades, festivals, ice cream stands, food stands instead of running to local bodega for a piece of beef jersey and a beer. 3. The ready made food is ok sometimes but I'd love to have a porterhouse and king crab legs too - and choose to order -- not just what is made for the day. We tried the burrito- they add potatoes- no one ever adds potatoes- and they won't take the out. White potato is inflammatory- can't eat it. Was hoping breakfast items had more Gluten free variety & dairy alternatives: goat milk - lots of goat farms around - all sell goat milk in supermarkets- I checked I think this area suffers enough and everyone should experience a meal in any eatery in Dover Foxcroft- You all represent businesses in the area and the communities people pay your bill(s). I'd love to see more accommodating prices - open every day so ALL MAINERS can find a seat at your establishment. MAke affordable meals as well as your expensive ones ---People should choose. DId you say cake? can you cut a real normal piece? this is not NYC- only place ever served so ski skimpy like yours ---was at Tavern on The Green--NYC Other things distracting- owners sitting with "special or favorite" Again- small town - Owners-Chef should greet and hear compliments from all patrons. All patrons should be able to give constructive criticism on what they are served. I can critique as we had a very successful restaurant and a grocery store. Being part of community- store owners have an obligation to uphold certain business ethics as they enrich the community and the community looks at you and how you handle your staff and your store. We hope to see and hear changes so all people who expressed the issues at your store can walk in and have dinner without breaking the bank or robbing money from Little Lucia's piggy bank. GOD BLESS Be the Example

Usually don't say much but this place is not recommended…read more. Food is average and very expensive. Coffee wasn't the best and too much foam for me! Owners need to take a business class and do a S.W.O.T. analysis on themselves and their place of business and serve the community better! Try the Bears den for some good home cooked meals, or McDonald's lol.. was forced to give 1 star or no review...

Seems like time for a 2026 updated review for this local favorite restaurant. Restaurants are thin…read moreon the ground here in Dexter so we are of course pleased this is such a good one. Our most recent visit was as usual a positive experience. It was our traditional late spring breakfast to welcome a friend after her drive north for her summer residence here. Part of the tradition is a cup of hot cocoa because, even though the weather was quite warm when she arrived, the first time we did this it was her late-winter transition north. This time we were so impressed by the new and larger specialty coffee/cocoa mugs that I took a picture of it. Typical Yelper, I know! Related to that, I have also added the drinks portion of the menu, which I had missed when I added menu pictures. The service and the food were good, as usual. I went with the breakfast sandwich and home fries special. I pay a small up charge to have it in one of their large biscuits. It comes with home fries and so is one of the lowest priced meals available here, though I added a side of corned beef hash because I knew I would be bringing some home anyway. Their hash could be from a can for all I know, but I really like the way they grill it and wish I could replicate it at home. I suspect it is the absurdly hot temperature their grill reaches. My wife wasn't able to eat much of her meal of burrito and home fries, but her appetite and taste buds have undergone a transformation over the past several months, so this is situation normal. She ordered a rhubarb muffin to complement her meal and her leftovers joined mine in the takeout container we brought with us. The muffin was fine, though the rhubarb seemed a bit sparse. This from rhubarb lovers, mind you. Our newly arrived friend enjoyed her egg white veggie omelette just fine.

Nice little place with good service( a little slow), but the food is always great (worth the wait)read more

Stopped by The Grind House on my way through from Bar Harbor to Boston Logan International…read more I was excited to see an impossible breakfast sandwich on the menu as well as a peanut butter mocha. Seriously, two of my favorite things to see on a coffee house menu. That said the execution was a bit off for me. The Impossible breakfast sandwich was served on an insubstantial bun (the type that is more air than anything) and was overall pretty basic. Their signature sauce mentioned in several dishes, seems to be thousand island or maybe tartar sauce? Either way, it wasn't my favorite. The peanut butter mocha was also a bit of a miss for me. I wasn't a fan of either their chocolate or their espresso (or the peanut butter flavor they used, for that matter). The shop itself is quirky and comfortable. We were able to get a spot by the windows, which was nice and the service was lovely. It would definitely be a good and comfortable spot for working and it could be that had I ordered differently, it may have been more my cup of tea (or coffee, as they case may be). But for what I ordered, it was a bit of a swing and a miss.

Walked in and wow, lots to read on the menu! Which can be good and bad depending on how much time…read moreyou want to spend reading menus. I chose a egg and cheese on a croissant bun and a caramel turtle latte. I came here because it had been highly recommended, but I have to say, I expected more, but depends on what you like, right?? Plenty of seating, centrally located in the city, easy parking, and plenty of coffee concoctions to try out. My coffee was missing the whipped cream, but oh well. The froth for the latte was odd, it deflated super quickly, not sure what happened there. And the sweetness was sweet, but it was missing that caramel turtle flavor I thought I was going to get. For me, this was meh. I expected something more decadent. My egg sandwich was good. Basic. Not a real croissant either. It was a croissant bun of some sort. It seemed, well, basic, or economical. But it was filling and the egg was good. I also have to say that when I departed, I smelled like a convenience store that sells those hotdogs on rollers... I smelled all day, I had to wash my hair to get the smell out. I also have to mention the heavy music that was playing. It was obscene and it was loud. So loud it made it challenging to order and I did eat my meal quickly and leave. It was a Tuesday morning around 9 am. But hey I am getting older so this may not have been a good choice for me.
