One of our favorite places in Vero. Tuna Tare Tare Nachos are one of the best appetizers on the planet. Never had anything but apps here, but great bar service, friendly bar staff, live music, awesome view, great tropical drinks.

Enjoyed this meal with friends in Vero Beach! The decor is beach themed & walls display hilarious fish art painted by locals. Gotta give high praise to our terrific server Marianna. She made great recommendations, & checked on our table often even though her station was crazy busy. Wife & I split the calamari. It was lightly breaded & not oily or greasy as you find in some places. Both entrees had a side of their home made potato salad which was super fresh. Wife had the grilled fish wrap & loved it. I had the Crabby Pig, a fried soft shell crab on pork belly sandwich. I have to say this was the only thing I really didn't enjoy. The breading was way too heavy and hid the taste of the crab. Will go back next time we're in Vero beach, but would love to see more grilled fish options on the menu.

Part of the appetizer spread.

Awesome place right on the river, perfect for sunsets. It was busy in there but service was spot on. We ordered appetizers for dinner: onion rings, nachos, crab dip, and peel and eat shrimp. Everything was awesome, but the crab dip was the stand out. I'd go again. They also serve a Sunday brunch and I bet it's something. Try it.

Always a treat when we visit my brother in law in Vero. Watch the boats and have a very tasty treat. Great food and service. Love the large windows, open dining area and outside deck seating!!!

Started my meal at Riverside Cafe with the bang bang shrimp, they were perfectly crispy! Then I had the fish and chips, and wow, the breading was well seasoned, crispy and light, and the fish was tender and flaky. I also tried the crab pig sandwich, which was tasty, and satisfied my crab cravings. The whole experience had a great customer service and beachy vibe that made the meal even better. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Vero Beach! Below are the locations of a video I uploaded during my experience. Great local cafe. A bit tricky to find as it is behind rental shop and looks like there's just another building. There's main room, bar area with music and outdoor sitting by the water. We've got there around 4pm and the place was pretty busy and got even busier later on. Our server was very nice and quick. We've got clam chowders, onion rings and fish and chips. Everything was very tasty. We also tried key lime pie and crème brûlée which I don't recommend as they were not the proper ones. I do take my desserts very seriously. Otherwise great place and good food.

While staying at Disney's Vero Beach resort we went to Riverside Cafe and were so happy we did. From the minute we walked in the hostess was super nice and showed us to an outside covered table on the river. The food and service was fantastic. If we lived closer this could be our regular place. Great live music inside and lots of TVs for sporting events. It started to rain as we left the wonderful hostess lent us her umbrella to get to our car!

Brought my mom here since she wanted seafood and heard they had good food and music so we figured it would be a nice place for an early dinner. Our waitress was great, very attentive and everything came out in a good time. Mom had the clam chowder, and we ordered oysters, shrimp, salad and bang bang shrimp. Very pleased and the prices were reasonable. Seafood was fresh and the drinks were nicely done.

Outside seating

The service was amazing. Came in for dinner Thursday night. The food was very good, would recommend. Got the grouper Rueben, best sandwich I've had in years. Our server Kaylin very amazing and on point. The view from outside is the best sunset I've seen. Worth taking family or friends. 10/10

The quesadilla appetizer was had a pleasant looking outside but the filling was repulsive to me: it was very finely chopped chicken blended with cream cheese and some other cheese. It had the texture of vomitus and tasted bland. Such a shame: the restaurant has nice music, staff, and ambiance.

The lounge, located in a separate room, was standing room only. The average age of the crowd was in their mid-60s or 70s, which is likely more typical of Vero Beach than Bobby's in general. We ordered a few things to try including a fried grouper sandwich, a cheeseburger and an order of ribs off the appetizer menu. The grouper was lacking in flavor, but was hot and fresh. The ribs were "fall off the bone" and actually decent. The burger was probably the best of the 3, it wasn't bad at all. Service was fast and she was pleasant. We didn't have to ask twice for anything. One thing I will note, the men's room was dirty, similar to a dive bar's bathroom. Maybe because the place is old and in need of an update but it made me wonder if other parts of the establishment were unclean.

Strangely we tried to go to a nearby restaurant that closed at 2 pm for lunch. The hostess there recommended Bobbie's and as they say a person in the trade recommending somewhere is a good sign. Apparently famous for French dip - I tried it and nothing special but ok and hit the spot. My wife had blackened Salmon which was large and she could not stop overeating it. They are also renown for fresh fish so not surprisingly the Salmon was first class. Separately there is a bar that was full but strangely they had no fraught beer available in the restaurant. Service attentive and would go back again if the opportunity presents between 2 and 5 and could not get into other place.

For starters, they never asked for our IDs. Now, my husband and I are old enough to drink, but the fact that they didn't check them should have been a red flag. It's clear they just don't care. As the night went on, it became even more apparent. The staff didn't seem to care enough to cut people off when they had clearly had too much to drink. At one point, a man approached my husband and me while we were sitting on the couch and started a bizarre conversation, making strange comments and pointing at us. We tried to ignore it, but then his "friends" had to pull him away. A little later, he came back, now more aggressive than before. I started yelling for help from other patrons or the bartender, and they only responded by pulling him away. The bartender didn't intervene at all. At that point, we decided to cut our night short. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not even on a quiet Wednesday. If they're not responsible enough to check IDs, they clearly don't care enough to ensure their patrons' safety or comfort.

I don't super recall having one of their beers at the Stuart beer festival, so I was excited about 'retrying' it. First, the building is awesome. Read the history on it, but also hard to ignore the giant generator that the beer comes out of it....super cool visual. I like the vibe of the place overall, and the patio seemed really nice but since it was our first visit I wanted to take the inside 'all in', and glad we did. Ok..the beers.... Flight: 6 5 oz pours for $15. Reasonable enough.. We started here just to see what pint we each wanted: *Freedom Tourch Stout: I loved it. *Hazy IPA *Double Vision IPA: Really enjoyed it; just amped up the hazy a bit. *Hef: Decent (not a super fan of hef, but wanted to sample) *Lager: Decent, it's a lager: * Icon IPA I ended up with an Icon IPA as my pint, enjoyed! Ok..the food * We split 10 wings for $16. Naked with nashville hot and blue cheese on teh side. Really enjoyed, meaty. * We also split a burger..the fun guy (funghi). We upgraded to sweet potato fries. I thought it was delicious, and the swp instead of marshmallow fluff had a maybe sweet cream cheese dip (i don't care it was delicious!) :) Now they were out of a few beers that was my first pick (including the Saison) but I guess it was others picks too..hence why they were out! Definitely want to go back!

*INITIAL REVIEW*…read more Today, my family and I celebrated Mother's Day given the fact one of my sisters and I would be too busy to celebrate it on the actual day. Ergo, we made a trip down to Vero Beach and had fun at both McKee Botanical Gardens and the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA), both which got stellar reviews by me in the past. In between both locales, we were hungry and needed to eat someplace local. I had some suggestions, but my mom was in the mood for seafood. As a suggestion from reviews, The Crab Stop of Vero Beach was ultimately decided upon. I have to say, I am happy this restaurant was suggested because it is very good. Even though an address is provided, The Crab Spot of Vero Beach (which I will shorthand simply to Crab Spot for the remainder of this review) is located on the southside of the entryway into Royal Palm Place, one of the many extensions leading out into the water near US-1, but this one is known for the Royal Palm Park at the end. Initial display, decor, and ambiance has the stereotypical local dive bar look with elements showcasing they specialize in seafood, and the little bits of rustic flaws adds a bit of character for what they are. I would not expect such a look for a high-end restaurant, but this works for a local place on the river. The chairs squeeked, the table wobbled a bit in which the waitress fixed with some coasters, and the plates were chipped. No problem at all. There was even outdoor seating in the back bar-style which gives you a nice view of the canal that leads to the river. It was high sun, so we opted for the air conditioning. Now we move on to the food. I have to say that the majority of our food was really good, and when you adjusted to what you are eating, it was top-notch. Key word, however, is the "majority." The good: the hush puppies basket as you get 10 hush puppies that are lightly-seasoned with 1000 island sauce. If you eat one, it is probable you might think it is light on seasoning. However, they are small and finishing all 10 won't be a problem. The flavor builds with each hush puppy, which was smartly done compared to what most seafood places do: give you like two to five hush puppies of large size and high flavoring. The wings, however, used a hot sauce that was mostly vinegar. This ruined the wings for me, and if my stepdad ordered 20, he'd be eating the majority of them. Everything else was top-notch and delicious. Altogether, my family ordered the Fish and Chips, Mahi Sandwich, Fried Catfish Sandwich, Sea Scallop Snack Pack, and the Crab Cake Dinner. Details for each dish in the pictures. On a sidenote, the restroom was okay as in clean and stocked, but not the best-looking restroom I seen. Maybe the "character" could have not be extended to the restroom. Ultimately, I am giving Crab Stop four out of five stars. I do enjoy a good "mom n' pop" place as I prefer to support local and small, but since this is the only time I went, I can't justify a five-star rating until they prove to be consistent. I will be back as there is another park just south of this business that has geocaches that need to be found AND I may also try to hide a traditional letterbox here. But take note for a local seafood stop, this place is good to go.

Drove all the way to the restaurant to be told they are out of Crab, Clams, Mussels, oysters! Fried…read moreclam strips and fish were options. How does a Crab/seafood place run out of everything.
