This is located about 30 minutes north of fort pierce at a really nice location: underneath a bridge, right on the water. Originally we were going to come for brunch but since we were in the area, we decided to go for dinner. We went on a Saturday around 7:00 pm and the place was very busy. Regardless, we were seated in less than 30 minutes at a tall table outside (read that: not under the sun but in an enclosed area outside of the main dining room). Our server was friendly, quick and also knew the menu. We ordered the lobster bisque and New England clam chowder to start. Followed by the fish and chips and the black and blue burger. The lobster bisque looked watery but here's where looks can be deceiving. It was flavorful. The New England clam chowder was good with chunks of potato's and clams. You could tell that these were done fresh earlier. The fish and chips and the black and blue burger both came with seasoned fries. The fish came with coleslaw and the black and blue had blue cheese on the side, so you could add as much or as little as you wanted. The batter on the fish was light yet crunchy and not greasy. Oh! It can get really busy so try to avoid peak hours if you don't like waiting around too long for a table. Now we need to come for brunch read more

I had dinner early this evening with my sister. It's my first time there. The ambiance is so welcoming, casual and friendly as soon as you walk in. Sat outside which was a lovely view and very peaceful. Had the mahi mahi and my sister had the skirt steak. Both were outstanding. Nicole our waitress was fairly new coming from NY but she did not miss a beat as she was incredibly friendly and gracious and provided outstanding service! The same goes for Brea the hostess who could not have been more accommodating and so very warm and friendly. If you are looking for a casual vibe on the water with outstanding food, this comes highly recommended!!! It is not often that I eat at the same restaurant twice in one day, but I had the pleasure of doing so at Riverside Cafe yesterday. Riverside cafe is located right on the Indian River. I would describe it as a sports bar but the menu definitely has more to offer than the average sports bar. My men were going fishing and meeting their captain at the bait & tackle store that stand fight in front of the restaurant. So of course we had to sandwich the fishing between two meals! First was lunch. 13 year old started with the Tuna Nachos. This consisted of chips piled high with plenty of Ahi Tuna, some wakame, and various sauces. I liked this dish but I would have preferred if the tuna was chopped instead of ground up so fine. The dish also needed more sauce. For my main I ordered the Ultimate Grilled Cheese. With 7 types of cheese, bacon, and tomato on Texas Toast, this was a yummy sandwich. I just wish the cheese, especially the Gouda was a little gooier. 13 year old loved his Lobster Roll. He said it tasted better than the lobster roll he recently had in Montauk. Husband loved his Steak Sandwich and 15 year old thought his Burger was very good. Most of us got fries. The sweet potatoes fries were crispy and tasty but I was gaga over the regular fries. They were so crispy and flavorful that they did not even need ketchup! Fast forward several hours. While I had some retail therapy my men did their job and provided snapper for dinner. Per my husband, Riverside Cafe will only prepare your catch if you have gone out with the captain who took them out, Billy. For about $13, Riverside Cafe will prepare your catch grilled, blackened, or fried. They serve it with fries and Cole slaw. We ordered some of the fish fried and some blackened. Both styles were excellent! The blackened fish was not too spicy. The fried fish was nice and crispy. At dinner I tried the Cole Slaw which was some of the best cole slaw I have ever had....mayo based and not too tangy. Service was efficient, although I have to admit our lunch server was a lot friendlier than the dinner server. The place had a nice crowd at both lunch and dinner. I have been here several times with no issue, but this time deserves a mention. Got the fish taco, and for $16, got one small taco, with a piece of fish that had to be less than one ounce. I did complain to the manager, who was very awkward about the complaint, who reduced the bill for the taco down to $8, but honestly it was not even worth a dollar. I came down to Vero to visit my buddy and play some golf. I'm always looking for good places to eat, and sure enough he recommended this place. For starters, the draft selection is unbelievable. So many to choose from. I wound up getting a lighter beer. Appetizers were absolutely incredible. The tuna nachos, I definitely recommend. The main courses, however are the star of the show. I got the brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries and they were absolutely out of this world. Plus, the location is absolutely amazing. The ambiance is absolutely fantastic. Although, the acoustics could be a little bit better. On top of that, the friendly service between the bartenders and the wait staff hit a top mark in my book. We've been coming to riverside for a couple times a year each time we visit Vero, and we specifically come for the muscles which were amazing!!! This time no muscles with no plan of bringing them back. They've also removed another classic the lobster roll. They replaced the muscles with clams which do not compare in the slightest. Calamari was chewy. Oysters were fine. Crabby Pig tasted like old grease, narrowed it down to the overcooked pork belly. We were also looking forward to the kids feeding the fish but they have done away with that as well. Whoever is making the changes should be fired. We will be looking for a new spot for group. We constantly recommended this restaurant to anyone that would listen. Now we will be telling everyone to avoid at all costs. Yeah I'm salty. DISSAPOINTING! BRING BACK THE MUSCLES!!! HOLY AHI TUNA WRAP! When they say they put a healthy amount of tuna inside of the wrap they really really do! This was a fun spot to step by for a weekend lunch. Decent water views of the intercoastal, bridges and boats, with seating both inside or out. Since the restaurant was quite busy on a Sunday afternoon we sat inside, which can get a bit loud for conversation at the table. We ordered a blackened mahi sandwich, and the fish and chips - both were excellent. Service was a bit slow, but not obnoxiously so - the servers weren't at all lazy, they were just spread a bit thin considering the large crowd. Pricing averaged about $20 per person before tip, which represented quite a reasonable value. We'd certainly be back the next time we're in the area, perhaps a weekday or a day out of season would be less hectic. read more

My husband asked for his food gluten free since he has celiac. They still brought his fish out on a bun. ‍ Service was slow. After ordering one appetizer, our waitress disappeared for a good 15 min. We waited at least 10 min. for drink refills. The guy running food messed up and brought someone else's food to us then messed up the order for the table next to us as well.
