What an experience. Arrived around 6:30 on a Sunday night and expected to have a wait time but we were not prepared for the lack of organization of the hostess stand. It appeared they had been taking names/numbers earlier in the evening (and allowing people to leave) but at some point they stopped and you just had to stand in a line until it was your turn to be seated. This resulted in a 45 minute wait time in the lobby while some guests who were able to put names in earlier came back and "cut" you in line. We were in no rush but this certainly wasn't ideal and I felt very bad for the hostess (maybe she was new?) who was bussing tables, taking orders, closing tabs, and attempting to seat people. When we got seated we ordered right away as we had observed some other guests seated before us still not have food 40 minutes in. We ordered the fish and chips and the smash burger. Fish and chips were average, good fish quality but the batter had a strange taste and was quite flakey. The burger was very flavorful and a huge serving size, highly recommend. The views from the restaurant were also lovely, with lots of late evening sunshine and huge windows with a great view of the ocean/bay.

Dropped in for a late lunch with some friends. Location is phenomenal with oceanside views and giant windows to bring light into the space. Setup inside is spacious with nice wooden furniture. Parking outside is easily accessible in a gravel lot. Service was casual - we were only one of a handful that decided to come in for a 2pm lunch so we didn't have to wrestle with competing tables. Food exceeded expectations. Our bar was relatively low for smaller towns but the seasoning on everything was great. We had a salad, clam chowder, and the fish and chips and everything was tasty without being overbearing. The portion sizes are meaningful - took a photo of the clam chowder that could easily be an entire meal and more. Would come back again for the views + there's not a lot of alternatives in La Push!

Great food, great service, great view. Surprised it wasn't more busy in a Sunday evening! A must stop!

We were exploring La Push, hoping to catch some fish from the jetty (beautiful spot, even if you re not fishing) and this is one of the few restaurants in the area. Frankly, this might be the best restaurant in the area, all the way to Port Angeles. Don't be fooled by the exterior! tThe restaurant is very nice, the food is great, and the service is kind and reliable. The views of the river heading to the ocean are sweet! It's not cheap, but what is, especially this far from a big city (and in the PNW no less...!?) We had the salmon, clam chowder, fish and chips, calamari, chicken sandwich, and fry bread apple dessert. Everything was really good. The Mac and Jack Amber beer was fresh and delicious as well. The standout was that dessert though, sooo good! Wish we hadn't been so full. Most of the portions were very large, though the salmon was a little small imho. Note: My pickiest eater, who lives on chicken sandwiches, didn't love the beer batter on his sandwich. That said, my fish and chips loving kid said his (beer battered) fish was some of the best he's had.... P.S. Everybody loved the waffle fries!

What a nice view of the harbor and marina. Had lunch here and the prices were reasonable. Food was pretty good and service was excellent. Had the salmon and fried calamari appetizer.

Melinda took great care of us last weekend! She provided excellent service and the food was phenomenal! I would recommend the chowder, Brussel sprouts, and the sweet potato fries were out of this world! Beautiful views too!

Rivers Edge Restaurant, La Push beach

Great, friendly service. The man we spoke with told us all about his childhood there on the reservation. Staying the night in the Big Tree with his friends and Patches, his dog. We ordered fish &chips and clam chowder to- go ( strict schedule) in our RV. The restaurant has a big parking lot (big enough for our 30ft rv) overlooking La Push beach. The clam chowder was the best that I've ever had and being from San Francisco Bay Area, I've tasted some of "the best". The clam chowder at Rivers Edge was way better than anything I've ever tasted. It is homemade, creamy and thick with onions, celery and potatoes. I even suspected a bit of bread mixed in. It was amazing. I'm sad we took it to-go because I need a few more bowls. I would have stuffed my freezer full.

Great spot for a few cocktails. The view is stunning at all times of the day. The service is outstanding. If you need any tips on how to spend your day or need advice on must see places, everyone is extremely helpful. We stopped here several times on our daily walk along the beach. The fish and chips were delightful. We split them Everytime we came in for a quick snack before making our way back to our bed and breakfast.

Hostess got us a table even though they had a line out the door and we got there 30 minutes before closing - they stayed open late to make sure we had a table, which we really appreciated. Their clam chowder was amazing and their fry bread apple pie dessert was THE MOST AMAZING THING I'VE EVER EATEN.

Calamari

The view was beautiful! Staff was very friendly and nice. I got the calamari appetizer and it was decent. Fish and chips weren't very good, berry cobbler is made daily and was decent.

Ask the Community - River's Edge Restaurant

Does River's Edge allow patrons to connect via WiFi?

The restaurant does not have WiFi available for guests/customers and has a sign saying so inside near the front door. Verizon data plan connects decently, sometimes a little slow. T-Mobile data was not connecting and was unavailable.

There's really slim pickings in the area - and was so glad we ate here instead. Blackened salmon was delicious, the baked potato was simple but good. Upon closer examination I made 100% sure it was juicy on the inside. My wife's baked salmon was perfectly cooked as well. Seasonal broccoli could have used some seasoning or caramelized onions or something. Special dessert of blueberry house-made cheesecake was awesome: the compote wasn't overly sweet so it ended a fine meal overlooking the lake. Wines by the glass were inexpensive ($10) but also limited to house selections of Chardonnay (a bit watery), Pinot Gris (crisp and appley), and the Riesling (didn't try). A wider white wine selection (and maybe flights?) would be an improvement since salmon is the name of the game here. Great service and seating is oriented to try to give as many customers as possible a view of Lake Quinalt even if you're not seated by a window (we weren't). Full bar too.

Ate here with Jaric because I was craving mimosa even though it was past brunch munch time, and…read morethey still were willing to make it ! I was so happy. Pretty good, but didn't feel as strong as I hoped :( service was good, too, with enthusiasm from our waitress by asking us about the food and our Forks, Washington trip. It made us feel welcome and was such a nice conclusion to our trip overall. Plenty of parking here, too. Anyway, food was nothing special. I got the seafood trio pasta that did not make me :O, but it filled me up and did not make me sick afterwards! Jaric got the fish and chips, which was also good. Nothing crazy for the food. A bit cramped with the seating arrangements when I made my way to and from the bathroom, but not a bother. I like that each booth had wooden separators because I feel like Jaric and I were in our own world where not everyone could hear our conversation.

It was made with bare minimum effort, just something put together real quick and lacked taste/flavor! The worst part of the experience was the rude host. This slightly elder woman at the restaurant came in to take our order and had way too many things to say about us and everything we wanted to get. She even called out one of us to "eat more and not starve" and then had an issue when we wanted to pack our food to take back. Extremely rude behavior. Won't recommend this spot!
