Awesome little "glamping" style hotel in Montana. The kids loved being able to walk down to the river and the kitchens in our room made for a camp feel without tents! Thanks for the awesome service.

How cute!

This place is so cute and so charming. I stayed in the Clark cabin and it was adorable and clean! When I come back I am definitely staying here again! The staff was so sweet and accommodating. The only problem was the front door, it was really difficult to open and close. Other than the door, everything was amazing! Love it!!!

Great weather, great hosts!

Awesome, this lodge in this really pristine setting deserves your business. Like Rhonda H. we were traveling through on our bikes and landed here. Spent some time talking with the owner and she was really sweet and told me how her and her husband were building it up. Wonderful, just incredible beauty. Rooms were VERY clean and everything was stocked and worked. Can't be easy in a place like this, their hard work shows.

Thompson Falls is a tiny town with limited options, but this motel seemed to be the best from an online search and what I saw as we passed other motels.

Silver Mountain Resort - King Suite, Building C

Silver Mountain Resort

(170 reviews)

This is our families first time visiting Silver Mountain resort. We were really excited to be here…read more My 7 year old loves the water park which is amazing and she rode all the slides! For adults though, it is a bit much with how loud the place is and the lack of care from staff. The furniture in the cabanas is hardly worth sitting on because all of the padding is gone. The key to the lockbox didn't work and there is no privacy. The rooms were a good size but again, the furniture is old and worn out! The room, like other reviews, was not fully cleaned. Loaded dishwasher wasn't ran, gum on a closet wall and toothpick still on the floor. Overall, if I can help it, I will not be returning.

Everytime we come it gets worse…read more My daughter loves having her party here with all of her friends. I asked her to pick somewhere else and she wasn't having it. We rented the suite for two nights and then we rented two conjoining rooms for two nights. We also paid for 10 water park tickets. Night one we get into the room and as I unpacked the groceries I noticed the fridge hadn't been cleaned. I was in a hurry so I just wiped it out with the soap and sponge they provided. I got to the table to start setting up the table cloth and found blood all over it. Next I used the bathroom and the trash can under the sink hadn't been changed. We sat down on the couch to hook up our fire stick and found a bra just lying under the corner table. The prices keep going up and up and the quality keeps going down. I am convinced they don't clean rooms. You can't miss blood, a bra, the fridge, and the trash. The waterpark no longer runs tabs. Every single time you want a cocktail you have to track down the member of your group who has the locker key so you can grab your wallet. So for a four day trip you are up and down those stairs to get to the locker non stop. They also don't do shots. So if you want to have a quick shot and then go back to the waterslides ..... you can't. You have sit there and down an entire drink. It was so much better when they ran your card and left it on file for the day. The rules keep growing and the quality is tanking.

Alameda's Hot Springs - Water level view of the outdoor hot tub.

We opted to stay here and recuperate in Alameda's hot springs after three days of strenuous hiking…read morein Glacier National Park and before flying back out of Missoula. This very cozy complex of cottages and rooms were built in the 1930s. The hot water in the kitchen and in the room tubs are all from the hot springs below the retreat center. I asked, and apparently you can actually drink the hot spring water. Though it does taste strange (because of all the sulfur and magnesium). And it may impact your digestion. (We did NOT drink the hot spring water available from the sink in our room's kitchenette! We only drank the cold water, which is from the municipal tap.) I think that the way this place works is that the rooms have permanent residents. But when they are out of town for an extended period of time, their rooms get rented out to travelers like me. My partner and I stayed in Room #9, which was smaller than the other rooms, as it lacked a full bathroom. Instead the room had a tiny closet next to the bed with only a toilet in it! Because of this situation, occupants of Room #9 are able to access the "Mermaid Room," which has a toilet, sink, towels, and a vintage clawfoot bathtub (again, with hot spring water coming out of the faucet). This means, that a single person can have their own private hot spring soak in the Mermaid Room, which we took advantage of. Our room had a cozy bed with a space heater. We never felt cold in the room. The kitchen next to our room had a small table, an electric stove and oven, fridge, and utensils and plates. I wish it had basic spices and some cooking oil, but the town's grocery stores are a 5-minute walk away. While the access to the private bathtub was nice, my partner and I also wanted to soak together and outdoors, so we signed up for a 7:00 pm soak (an extra $10 for 2 people) in one of their four outdoor tubs, all separated from each other by high wooden fences, for privacy. The tubs are pretty basic. No jets or bubbles. But it was lovely to be able to soak under the stars. The town also has other nearby public hot spring tubs, two of them run by the tribes ($5 each - cash only and honor system), but none of them were private like Alameda's. Also, the staff we engaged with (who I think were also residents) were all very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this cozy spot with a lot of history and character (and characters)!
