I gave an original bad review a few years ago as I went to the store and it was closed during open hours, turns out Covid temporarily messed up the company operations etc and the owner was really friendly in providing a patron offering for the inconvenience. This place is amazing. I saw it in instagram and knew I would have to try it. I called in my order just after the lunch rush so I was able to get my food ready in a timely manner. When I went into the restaurant I was greeted by multiple people. It was nice and clean. I spoke to the girl up front and she was very friendly. The food was amazing. I got a pizza with just pepperoni and my wife got a Philly cheese steak. I tried a bite out of her sandwich and it was amazing. Not gonna lie It was one of my favorite Philly sandwiches I've ever had. The pizza is really good. The dough is a thick, which I liked, and the sauce was very flavorful. The cheese was perfect pull too. Overall easy 5 stars on everything about Rivercrust deli. I will for sure be going back for more menu items! read more

Pizza is awesome but hands down the Philly sandwich is epic. The best in town and probably one of the best I've had from around the country, including Philadelphia. Staff has always been great and polite. Definitely worth a try especially if you like Philly sandwiches. read more

I went to RCD after I saw a feature on IG from Be Local Riverside. I ordered a sandwich and potato salad To Go. I always like to try new places and it's about 10 minutes from my office. I ordered the Italian Sub, without mayo or mustard, or Tomato...only italian dressing, cheese and lettuce, and it came with one tiny pepperoncini. First, the bread and meat were of high quality. The ratio of bread and meat was not what I prefer but because the quality of meat was good, it seemed to justify having less meat. However, the lettuce was extremely lacking in quantity. One leaf of romaine lettuce was all there was...thin and just not present enough for me. The italian dressing was just that...store bought and definitely not enough...just a few drops here and there. I didn't say no onion or no pickle, but didn't get any. The potato salad was mediocre and not freshly made...at least not there. It's quality was that of a Smart n' Final, sweet and lacking that fresh made taste and texture, and quite expensive for such a small serving. I gave them 4 stars for the quality of the meat and bread. I'd like to see shredded lettuce on the sandwiches instead with a little more pizazz from their dressing...like an oil and vinegar with some chili pepper flakes and salt n' pepper. Maybe a nice pickle on the side???? I paid just under $17 for Sandwich, potato salad and a soda. I hear the pizza is good, but not my thing for lunch time... read more

The portions are huge, the freshly made French roll soft and delicious, and staff friendly. As fellow Yelpers noted, the place is very small, but we came between rushes, and had no trouble getting a table. Straight 5 STARS from customer service to the food. Everything was delicious we had to order almost everything to try it. I'm glad I took all my kids. The food was great we got a TBA, 2 Phillys, and 2 Pastramis everyone loved what they got. You save money by ordering directly with them. Grubhub still adds $1-$3 depending on the item even for pickup. More for delivery so we placed the order inside. We waited about 20 minutes because as soon as we got there they got slammed with 5 medium sized groups. The staff was awesome and super understanding I asked for no mushroom since my mom is epi pen allergic to them and he immediately told the staff which I absolutely appreciated and she didn't have a single reaction so they did great. It's very casual here and very clean. I was surprised to see they had pizzas so I'll have to try that next time. My husband inhaled his pastrami so I think he must've loved it. They had friends playing on the TV and the staff were cleaning up in their free time which to me shows pride in your business. This place was really good and I definitely plan to go back to try more of their menu! read more

I have been postponing writing this up but it's been a long time coming. Long story short, I seen this place from an Instagram story, pretty close to my house and I decided to celebrate after my finals. Initial reaction to this place was the place is kind of hidden/off the beaten path. Made parking a lot easier though. When I walked in, the owner immediately greeted me and my classmate, we start talking food and I come to find out the guy ran a restaurant in downtown riverside that I liked a lot. I ended up getting talked into buying the Philly cheesesteak as the gentleman said he would let me slap him if it wasn't delicious which I said "deal!" to. By the time it came out piping hot and the cheese melting in front of me still the place started to fill up. The sandwich was the right amount of gooey cheese but not at all soggy and the bread, my goodness the bread. It was baked in house I could tell just by the first bite. I'm not even a fan of bell peppers but those, alongside the mushrooms really made the steak shine through. I'm saddened I haven't had a chance to go back but I definitely will be. read more

The pizzas were cooked to perfection and the flavors were an explosion to our taste buds. My daughter in law found this restaurant on Yelp because we were in the mood for sandwiches. I had never heard of it. But figured... sure, let's try it out. Oh my goodness!!! How have I not heard of this absolutely delicious place??? What a wonderful treat for my poor tastebuds!!! We ordered a pastrami sandwich, a cheesesteak, a pastrami pizza and a cheesesteak pizza. The pastrami pizza was out of this world!!! The crust was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Pastrami was cut in nice bite size pieces (so when you take a bite all the meat doesn't come off), the mustard drizzle and the chopped pickles were exactly what belongs on a pastrami pizza!!! Hands down best one I've ever had. We loved everything we ordered!!! Or usual family chatter was replaced with Mmmmm, Wow and Oh my gosh, this is soooo good!!!!! The owner James and his brother were so nice and personable!!! We chatted with them a lot as they explained the history and care and quality that goes into their food. We warned them....
