Colusa Casino Resort - I won over 100x my bet!

My mother in law loves Colusa Casino as it's super close to her home, so when we go it's usually with her. Colusa is a clean casino. With food and games it has all the things you need to have a fun time. We came on a Sunday to try their brunch buffet which runs from 10-2pm. It was a pretty good deal. $30 and a full spread. Nothing spectacular like made to order omelettes or waffles and pancakes. But there are servers handing out potatoes, French toast, bacon, sausage, eggs and even chilaquiles (which was my favorite). Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and said we'd definitely do it again. We often come here for the birthday bingo. The crowd is usually large for it. I'm talking 300 or so people all vying for a pot of $500 to $1000 each round. This lasts for a couple hours. Tons of machines, a few card tables and a nice bar for sports watching. Bathrooms are always super clean. While writing this review I'm realizing how awesome the experience is for the size of the place. It's well run. Machine's are top notch and the crowd is very lively yet not too crazy.

Visited January 19th..see my receipt as always…read more I came in here for lunch after a long drive. I find being on the water very relaxing! I ordered the steak bites ( my fav) that comes with seasoned bread and chimichurri. Steak had good flavor and I love the mushrooms and their chimichurri! I also got the pub pretzels ( two pretzels) that comes with their beer cheese. TIP: Ask them to undercook them so when you reheat the pretzels they are not rock hard! Plus they taste better! Full bar and relaxing views! Always a great time! Plenty of tvs to watch sports with indoor and outside seating! They also have takeout and delivery! Good for groups as well. Pet friendly.

El Jefe, Knuckle Buster, Fish 'n' Chips (not pictured) and Beef Dip... I don't like any sweet potato fries in general but everyone else did, and they are criss-cut! I enjoyed the regular shoe string fries ordered well done; oh! and the fried green beans with jalapeño ranch were also an incredible app -- sadly I ate them too fast and didn't snap a photo. thanks Katie (our server) for taking care of us, we will be back... need to try their burgers, tacos and pizza... and wings!

Visited on Saint Patty's Day March 17 2026. See my receipt as always…read more My girlfriend who lives in Colusa said they were serving corned beef and cabbage today! So glad we stopped in alittle after 11am. I have been here only once before in my travels. The corned beef and cabbage was so tender and delicious! We split it along with a small Caesar salad which was actually a very big portion! We still had leftovers! So wallet friendly which was surprising! They have several large tvs in the bar area seating. This place is dog friendly. Because I have a puppy I need to know that beforehand. BOTH inside and outside dog friendly! My puppy was happy and welcoming! They have a full bar with plenty of seating including a more private dining room. I had a nice glass of chardonnay and my friend had a dark beer similar to a Guiness ( they don't carry Guiness). It is definitely a locals hangout today. I heard they are slammed on the weekend and require reservations as there is very little competition in colusa for dining options. We had a great experience! Friendly waitress with fast service! I think her name was Lisa?? I will definitely be back sometime in the future on the weekend to enjoy their prime rib and other specials!

We picked this hotel because it is dog friendly (two pets up to 30 lbs each for a non-refundable fee of $50 per pet, per stay) and within a reasonable distance of driving from Oregon for us to eventually head back home to LA County. And because this hotel is highly rated on Yelp (an overall rating of 4.9 stars with 19 reviews), I decided to take a chance and book a night's stay here. We arrived last Friday evening, around 7 pm. We checked in with an employee at the front desk named Michael. He was friendly and very welcoming. The room was very clean. I liked that there were charging pads on both of the dresser tables on either side of the bed and also one on the desk. I also liked that there was liquid hand soap by the sink (way better than the bar soap that dries out your hands) and also products in the bathtub/ shower (body wash, shampoo and conditioner). Our room also had a microwave and mini fridge (but no freezer in the mini fridge). Free breakfast was from 6:30- 9:30 am and is a continental breakfast (meaning it is a light breakfast with few offerings. The only protein available were eggs and dairy). Overall our stay was fine for one night but I wish that the hot water that was available on the night we arrived was hot. Michael did tell us when we checked in that there was coffee and hot water available behind the wall (which is where the dining area for breakfast is). After we unloaded our luggage and settled in for a short while, we decided to head back to the dining area for some hot water to make some tea. But the water wasn't hot and just barely warm. It also tasted like coffee so we decided to pass on the water. If you are passing through the area and looking for a no fuss, affordable stay that is clean, then staying at this Sparks by Hilton would work.

The location is a perfect rest stop for us in a great area. We highly recommend it to anyone passing through!
