This was such a great place for sweets, chocolate and ice cream! The staff were excellent and they knew they'd products very well and could guide you in a direction you wanted to go. A great great shop!

Thank you River Street Sweets for your help finding peach flavored everything! My ice cream was SO good. The location on the river walk makes it the perfect place to stop along your stroll or a great after dinner treat to enjoy while watching the sunset. I loved Savannah and River Street Sweets!

Very cute, easy to get to shop

Ok. So this is a local "must stop". I chose this location as opposed to the original downtown because I'm mobility impaired and you can park right in front. Downtown is a nightmare for a person walking with a cane. The people here are what make this place. Southern hospitality to a T. We tried a free sample of the praline, purchased light & dark. We also purchased the dark chocolate bear claws, dark chocolate covered almond clusters too. They are all delicious. The bear claws are my favorite. Now comes the hard, honest truth if you are not a southerner...the chocolate itself is exceedingly sweet. They LOVE their sugar (and salt...another subject) in the south. I can imagine a European coming in and trying the dark chocolate and not liking it. I'm a transplant from the north. I'm used to less of a sugary confection approach. This all is SEVERELY sweet. One per day sweet. But, that's how they roll in the south. I read other reviews where there were complaints about price. I don't agree. I think there's a lot of work going into a hand made treat and it's a fair price. You want cheap? Go to Walmart. But, you won't get this quality.

    Very large gummy bear!

A sweet treat stop! Welcomed with delicious warm praline samples. Variety of candies and chocolates, fudge, Carmel apples, gelato, and more! Excellent service. The girl was friendly helpful, clean and sanitary. The prices are a little steep but I'm sure it's comparable to other speciality candy shops. Definitely worth it for a special treat!

The store is neatly organized although I believe there's over a million pieces of delightful candies here :) We ordered a few candies from the barrel and a pound of original pecan Praline. I'm not sure if it was a special or not but when you order a pound you get half a pound free. I had enough to share with my family now :) The lady behind the register was really nice to my granddaughter and myself. My pecan pralines went over nicely they were so fresh and decadent we all enjoyed them. This is such a sweet adventure to take with kids when in this area and let them pick out their favorite candies.

And suddenly I am refinancing my future and walking out with a bag so heavy it should have come with a luggage tag. Let's talk about the damage. Freshly made pralines are unreal. Glazed pecans are dangerous. Cinnamon coated pecans are criminally addictive. Milk chocolate covered Oreos and white chocolate pretzels? I may have blacked out while purchasing them, but I regret nothing. Everything here is made with love, care, and a clear intention to go straight to your waistline. But it is fine. My wife assures me there are no calories outside of our home zip code, and since we are in Savannah, we will just walk it off. River Street counts as exercise anyway, right? The staff is friendly, the candy is absurdly good, and the smell alone should be classified as a tourist trap. If you find yourself in Savannah, absolutely stop in, but beware the free samples. They are delicious, deceptive, and the gateway to some very sweet financial decisions. Consider yourself warned and highly encouraged.
