No problem with the RV I do wish we were told about the switches at the door, hot water or a list of what did what, otherwise, it was fine

Rented 5 travel trailers this past month and very happy with all of them. Trailers were set up and ice cold when we arrived.

Before posting, here's a draft you can edit if you'd like:…read more I hate leaving bad reviews, but this experience deserves one. First, let me say that I'm not a high-maintenance traveler. I stay at budget motels like Motel 6 all the time, so I'm not expecting luxury. We stayed at Fox RV Resort last year, so we knew exactly what we were booking--a dated RV with 1990s decor and basic amenities. Last year, our only issue was that the grill had no propane. This year was a completely different story. We arrived on an extremely hot day only to find that the RV had no power. It was unbearably hot inside, and after checking the breakers ourselves, nothing worked. We called the main number, and someone came down to turn the power on. He even acknowledged that it should have been turned on before we arrived. Once we started unpacking, we noticed the back window was covered with a piece of cardboard to block out light. Then we discovered the bathroom smelled like raw sewer. After reading older Yelp reviews, I realized this has apparently been an ongoing issue with this same trailer for years. Next, we found out there was no grill, even though the website advertises one. We had brought a cooler full of food specifically to grill during our stay. We called and were told someone would bring one over. Forty minutes later, still no grill, so my husband called again. The owner answered sounding irritated and basically snapped that it would get there. Later that night, around 9 p.m., the Wi-Fi wasn't working. We weren't upset--we just wanted to make sure there wasn't a switch or something inside the RV that needed to be turned on. Instead of helping us, the owner answered the phone by saying, "Do you know what time it is?" He then went on a rant about how we'd already called twice that day with complaints before telling us to "pack your shit and go." My husband stayed remarkably calm. I honestly would have hung up. The owner also told us, "This isn't the Ritz." No kidding. We weren't expecting the Ritz. We were expecting the amenities that were advertised and basic customer service. The issues with the RV were frustrating, but things happen. What made this experience completely unacceptable was the owner's attitude. I've never been spoken to by a business owner that way in my life. If you value even basic customer service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

We were so…read moreexcited with our new purchase that we quickly started looking up campgrounds in our area. That's how we came across one of CRA's sites called KQ Ranch. Being first time campers we absolutely loved the campsite in Julian. We agreed to the sales meeting during our free stay and of course fell for the sales pitch and bought in. I wish I would have taken the time to read the reviews on the member services and reservations system they have in place. For start, the girls that handle the calls are definitely not customer service oriented at all. When you drop a call with them or get disconnected (it's happens often) nobody bothers to call you back. So it's back to sitting on hold again. One girl will tell you one thing and the other has a power trip and makes you call back on a later date. Then if you're tired of being treated with disregard and ask to speak to a manager. They tell you the manager is busy and send you to somebody's voicemail that never calls back. If they had a better member service system in place I would definitely change my review.

After the first year I got letters about renewing memberships outside of CRA. So the package only covered the 1st year. We haven't been out to there Emerald Cove location in 2 yrs but still pay the yearly $500 maintenance fees which is expensive. The Emerald Cove location is decent but smells horrible at night. Our account is now paid off but we will still be responsible for a $500 maintenance fee for life unless we cancel? But we already paid $10k for the membership. It's not worth it. If the maintenance fees was more reasonable maybe it would make the a little more comfortable to live with. We haven't been to any parks but they still send the bill. There is no customer service. The phone just rings and rings and no one returns calls. No one answers emails. Buy at your risk. If you have money to throw away don't send it to them.

A sign in the window said "be back soon". After waiting in the heat for about 20 minutes I called the number I had for them and was told to use the microphone by the building and someone would come help. Well ok nice to know. We got checked in and were told they had no power or water. It would be on before 9 pm. And then they put us in the second row and said no one but members get the front row. Well you would think if they are trying to sell you a membership they would try to really treat you. There were several spots open in the front row. Our neighboring RV in the 2nd row was about 15 feet away from our front door. Their sewer hose ran right next to our picnic table. By the time e finally got settled in and were able to turn on the AC it was time for bed. The next morning we took our dogs down to the dog beach. Where exactly is it? Had to walk thru other people's camps to finally get to it. It was a pretty good walk from our location which was a bit hard for seniors with mobility issues. After the dog park we were pretty much ready to leave. The park has no shade and unless you want to sit outside and smell your neighbors sewage you have no other choice than to just sit in your RV. With dogs, we didn't want to leave them in the RV to annoy our neighbors who would surely be able to hear the if they barked. So we packed up and left and found a beautiful Arizona state park to stay at. Emerald Cove might be okay for some but it just wasn't it for us.

Zero stars. After unforeseen circumstances, I posted my brand new 2024 trailer for sale on Facebook…read moreMarketplace. My fiancé passed away unexpectedly one month after we purchased the trailer and I had no use for it without him. A sales representative from JR Motors saw my post and reached out to me with big promises of a quick consignment sale and a decent pay off towards my loan after it was all said and done. I was told to take out a separate loan to pay the trailer loan balance down to the consignment pay off price so it would be a quick and easy transaction when they sold it. "I will not see you wrong." They even went to the campsite where I had the trailer stored and picked it up and brought it to their lot. (At my expense.) I was told, "we're gonna get this thing sold." Fast-forward to a year later and a few offers that supposedly "fell through" I was informed that they could not sell the trailer and I needed to get it picked up. I asked for proof of these said offers and was never provided that. And was offered an extremely lowball amount of money for JR Motors to buy my trailer outright. My only assumption is that the profit margin was not large enough for them and so they weren't aggressive with trying to sell the trailer. I was later informed by another JR Motors employee that the sales representative who approached me regarding the consignment, should have never brought my trailer onto the lot because of what I owed versus what they felt like they could sell it for (and make a decent profit.) Apparently they don't keep tabs on what their employees do and so I suffered the consequences which resulted in a year's worth of depreciation on my trailer while interest continued to accrue on my loan. This was a very difficult situation for me due to the fact that I live in California and my trailer was out in Arizona at the time and I had just experienced a super tragic life altering event. A year later, I had no other choice, but to voluntarily surrender the trailer to the bank. Lesson learned for me. Shame on you JR Motors. Keep a better eye on your sales representatives and make sure that they are not making promises that your business cannot keep.
