I stopped here with my boyfriend on a Wednesday morning. We ordered black coffee, a Mexican mocha, and an apple fritter. The black coffee was good. The mocha was just okay-- somewhat chalky and not very sweet. The apple fritter was the star of the show; I would go as far to say it was one of the best apple fritters I have ever eaten. The inside of the cafe is really cute and has tons of cozy indoor seating. I believe there is seating outside, as well. We took our coffees to go and took a walk along the riverfront, which is nice if the weather is good. The cafe also has little knick-knacks for sale. read more

Wow! This cozy little coffee shop right off the river is a gem located in a quaint part of town. It's popular with both locals and visitors with a nice view of the river and bridge. The coffee and mango fruit smoothie were terrific! These were some of the best drinks on our trip! The service was also above and beyond our expectations. We had asked for a medium roast coffee and they didn't have one available so they were going to freshly roast some for us. They offered some advice on local breakfast places. There's a small selection of bakery items, little nooks for seating, fireplace, and fun gifts/funny cards for purchase inside. Outside there's benches with fantastic views of the river and bridge for that picture perfect moment. Please note that there is no parking allowed for RVs, trailers and motorhomes so you may have to walk a little if you are traveling through these types of vehicles. read more

This coffee shop and roaster was amazing! Really really enjoyed it. Picked up pound of roasted beans, an AeroPress (overpriced here), and a cup of hot Joe. They used a darker roast than I like, still ok, just darker. The barista was quite busy and very efficient, extremely hard worker. It certainly has a community vibe, where people seem to know each other and it's no big deal for folks to hang out for long periods of time. Looking for a brick and mortar coffeehouse, a place to stretch my legs and use the loo. Something about this place at the Port of Siuslaw on Google maps drew me from much farther north on the 101. I almost missed the turn off. If you're approaching from the north that right turn comes up quick and if you miss it you're screwed and have to cross the Siuslaw Bridge. I actually did miss the turn but a momentary hole in traffic allowed me to do a naughty and I made it back sans bridge crossing. What I came upon was a friendly and cute riverfront area. Florence, Oregon. There are shops and such along Bay Street and plenty of parking. What I found at River Roasters was a place to get a tasty espresso drink and something to eat if you wish, a clean and comfy loo, a thoughtfully-stocked gift shop (sensory delights such as quality lotions, moleskin journals, insulated cups, and much more), cozy interior seating, plenty of outdoor riverside seating, plus sidewalk seating. Happy to have found a new waterfront community to explore! Check it out if you're cruising the Oregon coast. There's a campground here as well. read more

It was on the smaller side, but delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere and space was inviting and had plenty of seating, despite being a busy Saturday morning. Our journey to Suislaw River Roasters has been decades in the making, we have been coming to this coffee shop for decades. From the first time to this time, it has been an experience worth remembering. A few owners in between made zero difference in the quality of experiences of this establishment. I hope to get another decade or so in frequenting this shop for their delicious coffee! From the deliciously crafted espresso beverages of your choice (cough cough, try the Slider it's really good, best topped with their espresso whip cream), to the charismatic dining area with a unique eclectic collection of local and artisan things to purchase, or maybe enjoying a locally produced baked good they offer it is always a great place to spend your time.
