There was a stack of tiny aquariums which each contained one little frog which floated in isolation in a little cube of water. This coffee shop is located on the river with an outdoor patio right on the water and in door seating facing the windows so you can enjoy the view in the warmth and comfort in a rainy cold day. This is not the best coffee in the world but it's definitely the best I've found in the area, if like myself your interested in a legitimate espresso instead of something that is not quite coffee covered in sugary syrups and the like found in most drive throughs around. They also have baked goods and food as well. Additionally, they have a lovely gift shop with a great variety of quality items. Great place to find a unique gift for someone. What a quaint little spot! It's was perfect after a night out and they even had breakfast burritos!!! The coffee selection spanned everything from dark & strong to sweet and frothy. Being the manly guy I am, I had the Snickers but then followed it up with another black coffee, which was only $.50 for a refill. The decor is really nice and it appears everything is for sale, but not in a cheesy way. I love this place! Great coffee, tasty treats and interesting items for purchase! We are camp hosts at Honeyman State Park and come down on our days off for treats and the wifi! We stopped in the first time about a 9 months ago looking to restock our whole bean coffee supply, as I was asking the barista about the beans the owner came in and took over the introduction into their very fine coffee roasts! She was generous with her time and asked the barista to make a complimentary cup with their aero press to make sure we would like what we had chosen! This coffee shop has a great location right on the river in downtown Florence. The view from the patio overlooking the river was gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about their product. They roast their own coffee in-house. They have single origin beans for only $10. Plus, you get a free cup of drip coffee when you buy a bag of beans. Whaat?! That's a great deal, practically unheard of in the Portland metro area. If I lived even remotely closer to this place, I would get my beans here all the time. They don't cold brew their coffee, so the only iced coffee option came as an iced americano. We were staying at a B&B just a block away from this coffee shop and I'm so glad we got a chance to try it out, two mornings in a row! Both times I had the Hot Chocolate, creamy and not overly sweet like some places. My husband got two different roasts each morning and I had a sip. Each had a full, roasted flavor without a hint of bitter. Just perfection. The young ladies that work there are also attentive and efficient. The hubby also got some sort of Butterscotch Fitter, it made me wish I had gotten a pastry as well. It was so good, he must have thought so too as he only let me have two small bites! This is how coffee shops should be! Friendly baristas roasting and brewed excellent coffee and espressos behind a large impressive counter. A large farm table in the front for big groups, a collection of tables, chairs, couches and recliners around a wood stove in the back AND tables and chairs on an expansive deck overlooking the river. I mean, seriously? There's something for everyone here. It's SO cozy. I could have stayed here all day and come back the next day for the same thing. They have a large merchandise section filled with fun and unique items. I want to come here next year for Christmas shopping! Stopped with family (including our teenage son and daughter) for coffee and snack while strolling Florence old town during July. Coffee (I had black and my wife had breve) was excellent, and there is option to have a cup of any of the many blends they carry. They'll brew a cup for you on the spot. Kids enjoyed their non-coffee beverages. The apple and berry pies were very good. Ambience was comfortable and slightly quirky, with a nice glow of patina. It is located in an old garage, and the history of the building can be found on articles throughout the joint. They have innovative flavors like Mocha Monkey (chocolate and banana latte) and roast their own beans in house. The staff is super sweet and welcoming to both tourists and regulars alike and they have cute gift shop with locally made items. I love visiting local coffee places that will have their own take on specialty drinks and this place didn't disappoint. I'm not a straight coffee drinker and usually pick something closer to the sweet side of things and Siuslaw River Coffee Roasters had a great list of specialty drinks to try. I went with a Milky Way and was not disappointed. I also loved all the local crafts and items sold in here and picked up a few things to bring home to my kiddos. I LOVED this coffee and it is probably the best cup I have ever had in my life!!!! I came here during my vacation to the Oregon coast and their coffee is delicious! I don't know how they make their foam, but it is way better than anything I've ever had, super rich and creamy. The coffee itself was great, both times I got the Milky Way which was sweet, but not overpowering. If the weather permits, I highly recommend drinking your beverage out on the deck due to the beautiful and private view of the river, forest, and bridge. Also, their food is pretty great and I devoured their chocolate peanut butter bar, which definitely tasted homemade. Decided to try a nutella mocha for my first time trying out the Roasters, as my Mother calls it. It was nice and warm, but no taste of Nutella, all I could taste was the Mocha. Flew into town a few months back for a quick weekend vacation in Florence with my parents. Wanted to check out the local coffee scene and found this place. I really dig the atmosphere with its cool blend of rustic riverfront building with the sort of pseudo-hipster meets Goodwill furnishings environment. The drip coffee was okay and the lattes were mediocre. I'm not sure if it was how the beans were roasted, how the baristas prepared the drinks, or if the drip was sitting on the warmer for a while, but something about the coffee was less than awesome. I feel like with a little bit of effort they could easily produce a quality of coffee as awesome as their location. read more
