We arrived at The River Pub shortly after 7pm last evening. The place was packed however, we found a table after the waitress pointed to one near the door to the patio. We sat down and realized quickly that this was not a very good place to put a table. Not only was the table completely sticky, leaving sticky greasy marks on my shirt, arms, and hands, the waiter who was coming through the door from the patio, hit our table with the door, knocking most of our drinks all over the table, did not even apologize or clean up the mess even though he noticed that he had hit the table. We ended up cleaning it. We figured that there was going to be a little bit of a wait time due to how busy it was in there and that it was a Saturday night, however, our waitress did not let us know how long. We waited over 1hr for our appetizer which was onion rings. To make matters worse, the waitress brought our onion rings to the table beside us and it was only because there was another waitress the noticed the mistake that it was quickly corrected and brought to our table, phew because we were starving at this point and would have not been very pleased if we had to wait again for the same appetizer. It then took an additional 45mins from the time we were served our appetizer for our meal. This time a waiter brought our food, he commented to us "You guys are brave to order the Lumberjack burger on a busy night like this!" We were taken a back by this comment. The lumberjack burger is on their menu, they should be able to make it in a timely manner no matter how busy the restaurant may be. Poor and slow service, sticky tables, mediocre food, we didn't get out of there until 9:30pm. read more
