I just moved from California and I went to this place to register my car. I had originally went to the County Tax Assessor which is much like the DMV in California, but you can only go there for tax purposes, car registration, and other things. They turned me away because my car insurance didn't have Texas liability and limitations and I informed her I can't change my policy until it expires in 10 days. Which is how I found River City Auto Title 10 min later and she looked over my insurance policy and just asked if I was going to get a Texas policy and like that my car was registered and handed Texas plates and sticker. SO happy I found River City Auto Title. I needed to go register and title my car as a new resident of Texas and had to bring two toddlers with me. I was dreading a very long wait at a government office and trying to figure out how I was going to survive it with the littles. The Tx.gov site directed me to local title offices and I chose the closest one.
