I've gotten several dresses altered here. All quick, reliable & affordable. Would highly recommend!

This is where I and my family have been getting our clothes tailored and altered as far back as I can remember. The team here is great! They're up front about what they can and cannot do when altering your items, their prices are very reasonable, and their turnaround time is relatively quick. For example, earlier this year I brought in a bridesmaid dress that had to be hemmed, and the work was done within a few weeks. I admittedly don't need things altered too often, but it's great knowing there's a reliable and reasonable place to go when the need arises. I highly recommend this shop and hope folks continue to support them. read more

I just visited the shop for the first time. I ripped a shoulder seam on my favorite winter jacket. They did an excellent job repairing the seam. They are very nice, professional, prompt, and do excellent work. The price was very, very reasonable. I highly recommend them. read more

I had two pair of slacks for a women's suit. One pair needed hemmed and the other pair were considered ankle length with a small side slit that needed the hem let out to lengthen them. Both pair were finished beautifully and you couldn't tell that they were ever altered. Price was reasonable and they were ready a day early. Very pleased. Definitely will be my tailor for future needs. read more

Great service Always do an excellent job with repairs and alterations. This is a family business with multiple generations

I was so busy in the months leading up to my wedding that all of a sudden, I found myself with less than two months to go and had not yet made an appointment with a bridal seamstress (completely my fault, of course). I called around to about 5 or 6 different shops, who all essentially told me that they were booked for several months out. Then I found this shop through Google, and they certainly had positive (though limited number of) reviews, and do not often do wedding dresses. However, I did not need any major alterations done, I mainly just needed the straps shortened and the torso taken in. So, I called them up to essentially beg them if they might be able to help me out, and I could tell that they were a hesitant on the other line, because, again, wedding dresses are not their specialty. However, I explained my situation, and that I did not need much done, and they asked me to come by just to take a look at it. From the get-go, I very much appreciate that they were upfront about what they could and could not do in terms of dress alterations. (Personally, I prefer that as opposed to a tailor agreeing to do something they can't do and then ruining the clothing.) For example, they could take in the straps and the torso, no problem, but they said that they could not install any complex bustles (but could do a one point American bustle) and could not hem my dress without cutting through the scalloped lace trim (I just wore taller heels instead!). I had such a pleasant experience with them that we later came back to ask them to tailor the grooms suit. In the end, they did an amazing job and the dress and suit fit us perfectly and completed the job in less than two weeks. For both my dress and my husband's suit, they only charged us $175 which is incredible. I would definitely come back for any of my future tailoring needs. read more

They do excellent work and are super nice. The prices are very reasonable and they take their time which is nice to know.

I have been bringing random items here for years, but recently bought quite a few items from my wardrobe for resizing. They were very honest on which items could be taken in and which could not. The work done so far has been exceptional. The price is worth the work as it is detailed and professional. Thank you for my new wardrobe!! read more

This is the place to take your high end clothing! Tried this place out after a recommendation from LS Altman clothing at South Hills. I had some high end jeans (Diesel, 7s, and Hudson) I needed fixed after another local tailor screwed up the hems. I wanted the original hem look and it wasn't done right until I came here. They were able to fix my hems on 3 pairs of jeans and I have taken additional jeans here and they've been flawless. I also had some shirts (Jared Lang) that needed taken in a little as they were too baggy and they provided expert alterations which you can't tell they were touched-other than the fact they look a lot better! They are experts at this tailor and I highly recommend them. Fast, courteous and you get what you pay for. The husband and wife are nice to deal with and are very accommodating. I'm not going anywhere else in the Pittsburgh area except here. read more

My husband needed a zipper fixed on his favorite coat. Dropped off the same day we called and it was as good as new a few days later!

I have went to this tailor shop many times to get my clothes altered. I have had many dance costumes and dresses that were too big and needed taken in. The staff is very friendly and it never takes longer than a few minutes to show them what I need done. One dress I needed fixed had an intricate beaded design and I was worried that it was going to be a tough job. The dress ended up fitting perfectly and you couldn't tell that it had been altered at all. The staff is also very helpful and understanding when clothes need to be done quickly. If you let them know it is urgent they definitely can get it done for you! Their pricing is also affordable for the quality work they do. I would definitely recommend if you need a place to get your clothes altered. read more

Lost some weight and needed alterations to several pairs of slacks. Pretty extensive. The work was done perfectly and I am very pleased. Cost was reasonable as well. read more

If you need a hem on a pair of pants, they can accommodate. If you need alterations besides a hem on a high-end garment, find someone else. Weight loss and alterations needed. My $225.00 pair of holiday, flowy, pants are ruined. Specifically, the pants needed to have the waistband removed to do a proper alteration which is what I requested. "No, no we can fix without doing that, you will see." The work done left about 5 inches of slack hanging in the crotch area and now cannot be fixed properly because there is no length left to work with. I asked them to measure my inseam and my waist. "No, not necessary." So, I trusted the expert could do the work. Worst decision. Another plaid skirt just taken in a bit...and they could not match up the lines in the fabric. This is a simple process! I expresses my dissatisfaction and they still charged me full price for the work done. I will never return to this tailor. read more
