Nora Dang's not only did the job, they did it for a fraction of the cost most other tailors had quoted, and they did it in less than a week. When I tried on my dress after it was finished, I swear I have never had an item of clothing fit me more perfectly. I also dropped off two shirts to be repaired, and have patches put on the elbows (I needed to supply my own patches, as they do not keep them in stock). I will be picking them up in about a week. Needed a bridesmaid dress tailored with a QUICK turnaround time. This guy is running quite the operation! He turned around a formal dress and hemmed another dress in about 5 days. He has three changing rooms (with actual lockable doors) and a little waiting area. I couldn't even tell where he made the stitches bc the work was flawless! And he even gave me the extra fabric he had cut off just in case I needed it. Will definitely come back. read more

This has been my go-to tailor shop for years now. The owner is wonderful and very skilled. He can alter or repair anything, and his prices are incredibly fair! I've asked him to fix hems, replace zippers, significantly alter dresses and other clothing that didn't fit correctly, and he always goes the extra mile (in my latest visit, he noticed that not only had the stitching fallen out from the back pockets of a relatively cheap pair of joggers I wanted to repair, but that it was starting to do this throughout the pants so said he'd just go over all of the stitching). He writes you a quote on the spot and tells you when they'll be ready to pick up. Note that this shop has recently moved to a new location just a fraction of a mile further down Route 88 toward Route 51. The space is larger and newer, with more parking in front and a nice try-on space if you need that. I hope that means this business is doing well, because their skill and fair prices deserve your business! read more

Dropped 3 pairs of pants off to be hemmed last week & picked them up 1 week later. It was quite busy when I dropped off my pants, and I did need to try them on, so that took a couple of extra minutes, but I probably waited no more than 10 minutes. Picking them up was a breeze and the prices were very reasonable ($24 for 3 pairs of trousers to be hemmed). Service was spectacular! I will absolutely be back. read more

I was very pleased with my recent use of Nora Dang's shop. I needed a zipper changed on an expensive coat. I've had other tailors do this and mess it up so I was worried about doing it. The shop is small and would be easy to miss while traveling down Library road. Don't be off put by the interior which is small and a little messy. I was helped immediately when I came in. The man took my info, let me pick which zipper I wanted on the coat and even asked me when I wanted it ready for. I was told the price and returned in 1 week. I paid when I picked up the coat. I'm very suspicious of trying new places sometimes and was worried the coat wouldn't be ready when he said but it was! I am very pleased with the quality of work and I would definitely return here in the future if I need any alterations. I also think the price was reasonable at $26 to replace the zipper on my long and expensive coat. I'll be back the next time I need alterations! read more

Men - BEWARE - this is not the place for suit alterations. They just butchered two of my suits with some of the sloppiest, most shoddy work I've seen. Hems were inconsistent, asymmetrical and puckered, lengths were not as they were measured and they came back full of wrinkles. read more

The gentleman who works with the clients is super nice and is fantastic at showing you how something should be tailored. He has done everything from ball gowns to shorts for me. I am getting married in May. I have two wedding dresses that I purchased from Bridal Boutiques out of town. Absolutely NO tailors/seamstresses at ANY of the Bridal Boutiques here in Pittsburgh would touch these gowns since they weren't "purchased at their boutique", even when I offered to pay more for the alterations. I had a bridesmaid dress altered at Nora Dang Tailor shop a few months prior, and they had done a very good job....so I thought as a last ditch effort, I might see if they would take the gowns and alter them for me. Nora Dang Tailor Shop took these two gowns right away. The gowns are both complex, designer, gowns and were very difficult alterations. Nora Dang Tailor Shop did an AMAZING JOB! They brought in, brought up, added bustles...they are PERFECT, and they fit like a glove!!!! Not only were the alterations done in a timely manner, but also at a VERY reasonable price. After this experience, I'll never go anywhere else in Pittsburgh for my alterations. Hands down the best place in town for any alterations you might need! read more

Nora Dang's is the absolute best!! My wedding gown needed a ton of work... the size I ordered ended up being extremely large on my chest and arms, and I also wanted to change the shape of the skirt from A-line to mermaid style. I was nervous to take my gown anywhere other than a bridal salon, but I knew a bridal shop would charge me an arm and a leg for the alterations I wanted, and Tony had done such a great job on clothing of mine in the past, so I decided to trust him with my wedding dress. He did such a phenomenal job on it!!! Even though my gown is made of intricate patterns of lace and delicate mesh, Tony was somehow able to fit the entire bodice to my body perfectly, he made the sleeves tighter around my arms without disrupting the pattern of the lace, and he took in the skirt around my thighs and underneath my bum to create the perfect mermaid shape. He also added a bustle. All for a fraction of the price a bridal shop would've charge me!! We went through about 4 rounds of fittings because I kept asking him to change my dress more and more, but each time Tony finished the alterations extremely quickly, was always upfront about the cost, and produced flawless work.
