Sumera is a miracle worker!! Not only is she so sweet and welcoming, but she pulled off the near impossible. I called her on a whim last night panicking because my bridesmaid dress still wasn't fitting.. and I fly out for the wedding tomorrow. She let me come to her home late in the evening, took the measurements and discussed in detail her plans for fixing the dress, and told me she could have it to done the next day or the morning I leave at the latest. She texted me a picture a few hours later of the near completed alteration!! I went in to try it on this morning to make sure nothing else needed done and it was perfect. She loves what she does so much and was so concerned about getting it right that she HAND MADE the cord for lacing the corset up the back. Seriously can't say enough good things about her. Due to COVID related delays, I found myself in a nightmare of a situation: my wedding is in August and by the second week of July I still hadn't been able to get my wedding dress altered! It was stressful, to say the least. Luckily, I found Sumera and I truly could not be happier with the alterations! Sumera is amazing. Sumera was wonderful to work with. I brought a dress that needed some simple alterations. But was complaining about the bustier I had purchased. She said she could make some alterations to that too. I really didn't think it could be but to my surprise she did and it fit great. The dress needed the alterations adjusted when I went for my fitting but she had everything ready the next day. The work she did was very professionally done . Her home is very clean and I felt save while there. No germs. I've been looking for a new seamstress for a long time and I have found her! I had my Dress Blues chevrons messed up from going to a regular dry cleanser and the seamstress messed up my chevrons badly. I took them to Sumera and she handled them with care, professionalism and above all else with seamless alteration. I took a bridesmaids dress to Sumera to get altered. She was incredibly welcoming and took her time marking the dress. I was in a hurry when I picked up the dress so I didn't try it on until I got home. One layer of the dress was still a bit long (leaving some extra room since it's maternity). She was more than happy for me to drop it off and take off a few more inches. She finished it the same day, no extra charge, and was able to have my husband pick it up on his way home from work. But then when I complained about the bustier I was wearing under it she said she could make it better. Wow! She added some stays and and did some adjustments. It came out perfect. Sumera does great work. She recently did my bridal gown and had to take off the lace and beads in order to take my bust in. She also added cups and hemmed the bottom of my dress to my liking. Also added a bustle to still be able to show off the back of my dress. She also did my moms dress for the wedding and had both done in a timely manner.
