Second time here; first my daughter for a full set of nails and today my manicure/pedicure. Very attentive staff. Knowledgeable and very eager to give the customer what they want. Nice job and the entire staff help each other to ensure you get the best service possible. Prices are a little higher but cost of supplies and doing business today it makes sense. I was a very dedicated customer before moving 20 minutes away and even now I make the trip back to come to this nail salon as frequently as I can to get my nails done however, today a powder gel manicure took almost 2 1/2 hours which is ridiculous, considering I came in with clean, filed abd shaped nails ... the technician clearly didn't know what he was doing as the powder was clumping the entire time, because he didn't brush it off after each dip and the topcoat was melting off my nails to the point where he had to then use the UV gel topcoat after three tries of the powder top coat Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Worst powder manicure I've ever received. I stopped here in a pinch because my usual nail salon was not open that day and I needed to go somewhere relatively close to work. They were very nice and accommodating and when I walked in I was the only guest at the time. It didn't seem like the woman knew exactly how to do SNS Powder as another one was speaking to her and seemingly explaining the steps. Long story short: 1) She was rough grabbing/handling my hands 2) She I had to point out multiple bubbles and bumps which she was not happy about 3) She did not put the correct top coat on- and the other woman who was now with a client had to stop, take off whatever she put on and do it again 4) only for that coat to get damaged because it was rushed and goopy. 5) one nail popped off the day after and another is on its way to becoming lifted off as well. I was there for over an hour total. More guests came in and they were growing flustered. I was told to come back another day to fix- and given 10$ off my NEXT manicure. So I still paid full price and tipped for hacked nails. And I will never go back. Perhaps SNS dip is not their strong suit. You be the judge. read more

I walked in today at around 5:00 nervous I'd hit a rush and have to wait for a long while. I was immediately seated by Hannah, and given arguably the most thorough French manicure I've ever gotten. The staff was attentive, the salon was clean. I am always nervous to do a gel during my first visit to a salon - you never know what sort of sloppy work might end up glued to your nails, but the application was beautiful - and I was so happy I opted for gel! She totally respected my wishes about not cutting cuticles and just pushed them back, and she even asked how I like my lines and colors. Her application was so thorough with multiple coats I'd be shocked if they chipped early if at all. I will definitely return! read more

This place is convenient which is the only reason I come here in the summer....pedicures are weak....I was in and out in 20 minutes....I still had dead skin and callus on my foot. Definitely overpriced for the amount of time they spend....I asked her to get the ingrown toenail out and she didn't... She was very friendly...but I won't be coming back...I'll wait to go back to my place in Queens where the pedicure is twice as good and half the price. read more

Since the new owners took over my pedicures haven't lasted as long , unfortunately will not be coming here anymore.

I spent $70 on a gel magnetic manicure. They started peeling off the next day. It's the most I've ever spent on nails. She did a good job taking care of me but for that much I expect them to last me till the next time for a filling they have bubbles and I already have 4 nails messed up since the paint is coming off. Haven't even had them for a week I think it was a waste of money I could've went somewhere else where they'll last me and not peel off. read more

In my last review, I gave only Lily my seal of approval. I came for a pedicure today and Joy also gets 2 thumbs up. While I was getting my pedicure, a customer walked in 10 minutes early for a scheduled appointment with Joy. It's always a good sign when someone makes an appointment in advance for a particular person. Even though her client was waiting, Joy took her time and didn't rush me. She did an EXCELLENT job. This place was good enough. I got a pedicure ($20) and a dip powder manicure ($40). Jason did my pedicure and he was very thorough. For a simple pedicure I thought it was long enough and he did a good job. The mani I'm a little less excited about. I think the girl's name was Yoyo. She was a little rough while filing, and she seemed to be in a rush while dipping my nails. I noticed that a couple of my nails are a darker pink than others, maybe due to inconsistent dipping. Overall it looks fine but it's not perfect. A lot of reviews state how clean this place is but I did notice them using tools that weren't sterilized. Nail files, cuticle trimmers, etc were coming out of dusty plastic boxes, not sterile bags. You are only allowed to tip in cash here. There's an ATM next door. If you don't have cash they will actually make you go next door and take out cash. read more

Riva Nails has been my go to place for the last 10+ years BUT they sold the business and now have new owners. I tried giving them a chance but they have no idea what they are doing. They are OVERPRICED and the quality of manicure/ pedicure is not good. Every time I have gone in since the change I have had a bad experience. They rush through the pedicures to get to other customers because they don't have enough staff. The owner herself did my pedicure and cut my cuticle which began to bleed. She didn't apologize or remedy the situation she just continued on rushing through the pedicure. The nail polish is old and tarnishes quickly. In the summer one of the staff was giving me a massage as I dried my nails and was so rough that she cut my back with her nails! I don't recommend this place at all. If you decide to give it a chance ask for Joy she worked with the former owner and takes her time, she is probably the only reason why this place is still open. read more

Parking can be a bit of a hassle so always plan ahead and leave a few minutes earlier for appointments. read more

Pedicure was a disaster. Cold water, the woman who was "assigned" to my pedicure was an older lady obvious difficulty seeing as she cut two toes way to short and clipped my skin. She hardly pumiced my feet. When I pay over 30 dollars I expect better. Will not be returning. read more
