She clipped one toe and I am still recovering. The pedicure was average and not done with care. The prices have increased dramatically and the service does not reflect this change. After paying and tipping the manicurist, when my nails were drying, one of the woman came over to tell me I owed another five dollars for "special" polish which was never mentioned when I picked it out. It was mortifying. My friend, to whom, I recommended this place, said she had never seen such shoddy work or service. Another woman told us our nails were dry. She put plastic over my feet, but my two large nails were ruined. I would never consider going back to have them fixed or ever consider visiting this salon again. My friend was even more outraged than I was at their poor service and rudeness.

The technician was very thorough, and she did the treatment in literally 5 minutes. I was so pleasantly surprised! After two treatments I no longer see shadows under my arms. I still get hair growing in, but it's fine and light. After 7 treatments for my underarms, I still get hair growing in. I only have to shave about once a week though, and there are no dark shadows. It's more like peach fuzz. I am 4 treatments into my lower legs, and I hardly have ANY hair growing back!

Ariel greeted me and took lots of time talking to me about what I liked, what I didn't, taking note of my hair and how it grows, etc. I got shampooed (which included a super-relaxing scalp massage--OMGSONICE) and Ariel got started. While I was waiting the salon owner had a very nice conversation with me about the business and about herself. I really enjoy when business owners are friendly and strike up conversation. When the waxer came I was taken into the private back room for my wax. They used chocolate wax, yes chocolate, for my wax!!! The waxer has over 20 years experience and she has many other salons in NYC and the BX. They take the wax and put it into a little condiment looking cup and onto a different warmer so there is NEVER DOUBLE DIPPING. She also used a cloth paper thing to rip off the wax rather than using her hand to pull off the wax- something I've never experienced but I think it was less painful that way.
