10 STARS! If you're…read morelooking for something more than just a business that will deal with you, but more like a family or friend that takes care of you and will hook you up specially treating you like it's personal, this place is what you want! I had a minor incident that left considerable scratches, markings, and a small dent or two on my 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander (not white). I dropped by just to get an estimate, and even though I didn't make an appointment, Elias was cool & considerate enough to still take me and checked it out. Where one collision repair shop in Fruitvale estimated $1800 (to take the whole panel off and work it), and another in Hayward estimated over $500, Elias hooked me up with the MOST unbelievable subtracting discount! I think & imagine I would only see something reserved to be offered in that degree given to a business owners' personal family or friends! To add to the exceptional, he and his guy offered to take care of me right there and then even though it was the late in the day (and it's not like I didn't see other cars being worked on too). I waited with him in his office, and we were just shooting the breeze. Elias is just the coolest, chillest, most laid back, most personable guy. A guy that's eager to do you a favor, do what he can for you; completely why you can see how I described him/them as an establishment/person that will treat & take care of you like a family or friend. And if you are big dog lover like I am, there's a bonus with his office/business, and I loved hanging out with him and his dog (I think his name was Jake). That dog is just a big teddy bear that just wants your attention and to play with you. In the end, for what he offered to do it for and considering it was just what they were able to fit in late in the day, I would say it got back to 98% there (so much so I even offered to give more $, which he wouldn't take [would only accept this Yelp review and pets to the dog]). To the extent that when I very apprehensively/fearfully showed it to my very scrutinizing-type wife, she accepted it and even took to it without having me take it back and get any more work done (to complete it by the last 2 percent; get it to the full 100%)! This goes to show that this place is as surprisingly impressive and proficient as I was surprised by my very scrutinizing wife's acceptance & approval. Couple notes about this place -- try not to park in the back, they do work there with cars coming in & out (it's not just for temporarily placing cars like I thought haha); just park in front of the garage opening (he prefers it right outside his office to see what has to be done). Also, as mentioned before, it's best to make an appointment even for an estimate. Elias (and Jake[?]) and his guy (I really wish I got his name; because I highly doubt I would've gotten such an awesome outcome if he wasn't willing as well) are the best! I can't imagine finding a cooler, most considerate guy in this. He/They did it with such quality work (look at my other estimates & what it would take) where I'm off the hook with my rather scrutinizing wife, and he/they did me the hugest favor with what he/they offered to do it for (that I imagine like only reserved for family or friends), I'm sure he'd treat & do the same for you or anybody.

I used Yelp for a few businesses on repair estimates for my dented front bumper cover on my Rav4…read more Did you know that the car's frame is mostly steel or aluminum to protect drivers and passengers, sensors, electronics, etc. but in most cases the outside cover is bendable plastic for aerodynamic reasons? The bad news is that plastic deforms too much from a collision, you can't just massage it back to shape with a hair dryer. Also, who knows if anything else on the car behind the plastic is damaged or out of alignment. California Collision came to the rescue and was able to replace my bumper cover, have it painted, and then recalibration done for the various car sensors to eliminate fault codes. Even minor collisions can cause sensors to be faulty, so don't assume it's a cosmetic thing and try to cut corners and get your vehicle repaired properly. The job took a few hours one day to paint match, then a separate full day to install, recalibrate, and test drive the vehicle to ensure bo more fault codes. George was extremely friendly and transparent with the repair process. He even gave me a tour of his shop and explained the workflow. Its a family business as his son and daughter also work here. He obviously values work-life balance and is closed Friday-Sunday. Body Shops are not cheap but if you need a thorough repair and want things done right, I highly recommend California Collision. If paying out of pocket, use a debit card with a high spend limit to avoid credit card fees.

Don't do that. After I wisely had my car towed home instead, I took a deep breath, talked to my regular mechanic, and he recommend I send it to George at California Collisions. This was a very good choice. George and his staff did the grueling work of haggling with the insurance company, multiple times, over weeks. He also did an excellent job reconstructing my vehicle within the constraints of the insurance coverage. I got my adventure wagon back in good-as-new condition. Customer service and communication were excellent. About 15,000 miles later the rebuild has been tested and proven. Happy to support and rep this business.

I came here needing my front bumper fixed on my 2023 model year vehicle after someone hit me. I'm…read morenot sure where to start this review was long overdue since 2025 but I didn't think it was worth wasting time over. Now I do feel people should be aware, this is not the place you bring to get honest work done. First about a year ago I was here to get my bumper repainted due to being side swiped at the front. I had paint protection film which unfortunately didn't save all of my paint but helped a lot. After picking up my car, I found that the front bumper had scratched all underneath the headlights and trim. It looked like they were cutting off the paint protection film on my bumper instead of heating it up and peeling. Paint had peeled off. I also noticed the front bumper where I had plugs for my license plate, they cut the heads off the plugs but left them in the bumper completely visible... After picking up the car and finding these issues. They agreed to repair and apologized. When I come to pickup the car again, there is a drop of a paint/clear on my drivers door there in front of their parking lot... again I mentioned this. They try cleaning it off and it ended up peeling the paint. So now they said they would have to paint the drivers door... a few days goby and again I pick up my car and I the front bumper isn't even paint matched to the fender. At this point I accept they are unable to perform an accurate repair. I accept it and move on. Fast forward a year later I'm replacing my front window that got smashed. What do I find? A balled up piece of yellow painters tape thrown into my door. What else do I find as I'm cleaning off all the broken glass from under the door. That this trim piece was broken but they decided to glue it on! Now I sure hope they didn't bill my insurance for this saying it way going to be replaced... dishonest buisness. Turn and burn. They don't care about doing this right. They care about getting cars in and out fast and charging your insurance for every dime they can get. Thats how body shops make money. I know this because I worked as a technician at a dealership. Perhaps these are issues the regular person would've glossed over... but that's why it's even more important that you don't take your vehicles here. This is not the place that will take the time to make sure your vehicle is back to original condition and put safely on the road. They will take short cuts if they know they can get away with it.

(I know what you're thinking, this mf Mav always has so bad things happening to his car, and yes, it's true) Just before Christmas 2020, some a**hole side swiped my car (it was parked on the sidewalk) and they totally messed up the quarter panels and door on the driver side. I didn't find the a**hole that performed the hit and run, but I'll let karma handle them. Long story short, I brought my car in on January 4,2021. I got my car back that same week, on Friday January 8, 2021. They ordered a door, fixed up the side paneling, and painted my car back to its beautiful blue luster. I'm am telling you, these folks do absolutely amazing work. Thanks a million to Manuel and the incredible folks at George McGill's Body Shop
