First off, can't tell you how heartbreaking it is to know that Pecan Point is permanently closed…read more This place was an absolute gem. Five star all the way. The vibe and atmosphere was stellar. The staff were more than friendly and knew their craft beers! We tried some new flavors and were made undeniable fans. I ordered a plate of Duck Fat Fries. This is a total game changer! Even more so, dipping them golden fried sticks in Truffle Mayo... as Buford T. Justice would say... SUMBITCH. And that homemade ketchup? So good it made me want to go smack Junior's mama. We also ordered the Crawfish Dip. It was disgustingly scrumpdidallyumtious!!! Pure flavor profile explosion in my mouth. Never had anything like that before. My wife and I also decided to split a Smash Burger and that thick cut bacon with juicy beef patties... damn. One of the most memorable and satisfying experiences I've ever had, and I haven't even talked about the drinks. My eyes sparkled when I seen a Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned on the menu. A must try. ER MA GAWD!!! One of the best I've ever had... everrrrrr! We also ordered the Cinn-Full Cran Hard Cider by Locust... I now have to find this... just have to! My FIL ordered an ice cream treat with three spoons... lol. Everyone had to give it a try. We ended up ordering a growler of the State Street Blonde to go, and it lasted a day. Unbelievable. I'm heartbroken the place is closed, but will forever leave an impression of Texarkana for me. Thank you! As always, Enjoy & Happy Road-tripping!!

While passing through on a road trip, my local friend recommended Pecan Point and I'm glad I went. Located in downtown, you'll find free street parking in front of the restaurant. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the inside is spacious and casual. I ordered the raspberry Chipotle smash burger ($16), peach cobbler, and a flight of beer and cider ($10). What made this burger stand out was the raspberry Chipotle sauce and fried jalapeños! The flight includes four 4oz pours of any draught and mine were Irish red ale, Pecan Pointe ale, bock beer, and apple cider. The Irish red was my favorite and the Pecan Pointe my least. I would have liked the cobbler to be a little more crunchy, but was still enjoyable. I recommend and will visit again when in town.

As soon as I walked in, I knew I loved this place! A giant Naruto poster on fabric greeted my eyes…read morestraight ahead, while Full Metal Alchemist was playing silently with subtitles on one tv, and another anime I didn't recognize was playing on the other. The walls were decorated with regular and lenticular posters for a number of different shows. We were greeted warmly and got to select our own table, which had baskets of chopsticks as well as flatware to choose from, along with a roll of paper towels. The menu featured a greater variety than I expected; in addition to nine different bowls of ramen, there was a whole page of mazemen (like ramen but without the broth), several kinds of fried rice, and other selections. I got an appetizer of pork belly bao, which turned out to be two little sandwiches generously stuffed with cabbage, sliced cucumber, mayonnaise and something like hoisin and (of course) pork belly--so good! My partner got pork gyoza and gave me one--super tasty and done exactly as requested. For entrees, he got the Tonkatsu Ramen (#3 on the menu. I tried a bite and loved the flavor; he finished every drop. I had shrimp fried rice, which turned out to be a humongous portion including more and larger shrimp than I expected. I also want to mention that our waiter brought me a fresh glass of soda before I finished the one I was drinking--much appreciated! I never had to sit thirstily waiting for a refill. Highly recommended if you like anime--or ramen--or a good experience!

I drove a long distance because I wanted to try this restaurant…read more After waiting for the host to seat me, I then waited over 10 minutes without anyone checking on me (no water, drink, apps, no server, no greeting, no suggestions). A group of four who entered after me--the same group I had held the door open for--were kindly greeted, asked if they had questions about the menu, and offered drinks and appetizers immediately. Other guests who came in after me also received friendly service. When the host finally came to my table, there was no greeting or welcome. He simply asked, "You know what you want?" Order a drink. My drink took several more minutes to come, and the interaction felt dismissive, as if he had an issue with me dining here. He returned with the drink and asked again, "do you know what you want or need some time". I proceeded to order an appetizer and ramen. After asking one question about my ramen order (no pork), and being stared down by the kitchen cooks, I realized I no longer felt comfortable staying. He (host) said "it is, the way that it is." I politely thanked the server, handed back the menu, and left. He said nothing and looked relieved. I spent my money at another restaurant nearby, where I was treated with kindness and respect from the moment I walked in (And they were extremely busy). I gladly left a 40% tip on a meal because her excellent service deserves recognition. I know what I personally observed, customers who arrived after me were welcomed warmly and served promptly, while I was Ignored and treated very poorly. I read on their social media, that the servers loved first time customers and were happy to make suggestions and substitutes proteins. If this isn't the case, their advertising is deceptive. This is not a place where every customer is valued. I do not recommend. Not a fun way to spend your Friday evening and certainly not a fun way to spend your money. Go somewhere else.
