Juan was very responsive and gave a fair quote, so combined with the many positive referrals we hired him to replace our old roof. They started our roof on a Monday and finished on Friday - turns out we actually had 2 roofs they had to tear off which turned it into a much larger job, especially considering one side of our roof is steeply sloped. All of the workers were friendly, helpful and did a great job. They arrived about the same time each morning and worked hard all day. We had a hard time choosing a roof color (they use GAF Timberline RS) and we ended up going with Sagewood. We are so pleased with our new roof and how Juan and his team went above and beyond to do a great job. We highly recommend them.

Three years ago, Chris Koko put a new black roof on my home. It has very steep ptch and is visible…read morefrom a distance. The shingles were put on crooked with the rows dropping by 3" at the bottom. After many telephone calls Koko came to see for himself. I pointed out the very noticable drop in rows and I showed him,the broken fence post (his crew dropped packages of shingles from roof and landed on the fence), the placement of the flashing is immediately visible from the front yard, damaged gutters (loosened from being stepped in), nails protruding through the eaves, the many nail holes on the roof were filled with SILVER roof cement that also dribbled down the sides of my windows, the shingles that do not line up to the edges I was left with construction waste messes that I cleaned up all throughout my yards and my kitchen, where they had lunch was left with food and paper waste in the sink and on the counters. On my complaint about the roof Koko told me "that's the way it has to be done" and pointed out "you are not a roofer...expert in your field...I am". After a letter to the BBB Nutmeg's home office in Sacramento responded by sending a final "roofer" to again fix the damages. This was after Koko had sent me three different contingents of "roofers, experts in their field" on three separate occasions. All agreed that my roof was done very poorly and did (does) not look acceptable but did nothing to fix it.. After a year of complaining and crying I settled for the lousy job.....I only bring this up now because the shingles above my garage are pulling up and I will be reliving this nightmare after I call him tomorrow. I can only post this if I choose at least 1 star. With Koko's condesending attitude, complete lack of integrity, shoddy workmanship and no work ethic, he earned 0 stars from me.

And I appreciated the good communication from quoting to job completion. We had some dry rot which they were able to repair, at a fair price. I chose Bolin because five years ago they did us a solid when our insurance company gave us 1 month to make roof repairs or they would drop our coverage. (3 different roofs) they were fair on their detailed line item quote and not the lowest. They were on time every day with a full crew of roofers. They removed our roof in 1 day cleaned up everything and took it away. They checked in with us every day walked the job and made changes as we requested.
