Horrible experience. Called in my refill and gave them two days to fill it with a very specific date/time as prompted by their system. Went to go pick it up and their response is "it's too early for your refill" but I could "pick it up tomorrow". It was literally 7pm the night before but no one is budging here. So fine, I'll come back tomorrow. It's TOMORROW and guess what?! Oh I can have my Rx now but I will have to wait for it with the line of other people! I called my Rx in on WEDNESDAY NIGHT. It's now 12 noon on SATURDAY! WTF?! Why was this Rx not filled and ready to go when I came by last night? Why am I being told I now need to wait for it to be filled. WHY didn't anyone call me to say "your Rx can't be filled in the time frame you specified, but come by at x time on Saturday and we'll be sure you're set." Literally, one call is ALL it takes, man. I will come back for a third time to get this Rx later today, then RUN out of here NEVER to come back again! read more

This review is for the pharmacy. People in the store are very nice and helpful at the front register and ice cream counter. PHARMACY: They source decent generic brands. Pharmacy staff is helpful if you go inside. However, the RiteAid app and website is a cluster - it's really hard to manage prescriptions online. Walgreens has a much friendlier app. Worst part is that they NEVER have the drive through open. NEVER NEVER NEVER. They claim they are short staffed but I've been to many drive through pharmacies where there is just the pharmacist OR one person and the pharmacist and these other pharmacies manage to keep the window open. It's not that crowded there - no idea what they are talking about being short staffed. They have to deal with customers through drive through or in person. I'm immuno-compromised at the moment and I don't like exposure to sick people or the smoke from the fires. It's very inconvenient. I'm looking for another pharmacy with a drive through because this pharmacy wants you to go inside so you'll buy things. Don't bother having a drive through if you won't use it! Management needs to do something or they will lose customers to other pharmacies. read more

After dealing with the awful CVS in Oxnard, I was really fortunate to get most of what I need from Rite Aid. The people on the phone were obviously really busy and still had the time to be professional, which I greatly appreciate.A gentleman named Daniel was really pleasant and made the process of getting my prescriptions transferred less stressful. After all, I'd recommend this Rite Aid and any of the other ones as far as Sherman Oaks and stay away from all the CVSs and their nasty employees in Oxnard. read more

I had the worse experience at Rite Aid evening. Channel Islands and Victoria location...Almost empty regarding customers. 3 "managers" working. Had a painful urinary tract infection. Needed to use the restroom every 10 minutes or so which is typical of this infection. Used the restroom once after having to wait 5 minutes b/c they keep the doors locked and it took some time for one of the 3 workers came from the front to open the restroom. While waiting on my prescription, a manager named Lyla came to the restroom area with a bucket obvious to clean the restroom. I asked her nicely if I could have her open the door again and explained I had a UTI. She refused and told me it "was time to clean the restroom" and said "no". I politely let her know I would literally wet my pants all over their floor if I could not go. She said she had to clean the restroom then and repeated "no". I remained very calm but certainly argued that it would seem more important to take care of a customer going there for 25 years and to delay the cleaning for 2 to 3 minutes. She said, "don't yell at me"...I responded that my voice did not raise and that she could certainly wait 2 minutes for someone with a bathroom emergency in there to get meds for that medical problem. She then said "don't talk to me like that". I asked for a manager. She said "we are all managers and walked away and into the bathroom with the cleaning supplies. I went out to my car to use a dog pad I had in the car but it was not large enough..so I did not void entirely. I got my prescription, ran out the front door. (that would be on video as would this entire episode) crying as I urinated all over myself. Have never experienced anything like this and when I let the other 2 managers know what was happening before I had to run out the front door, they made excuses that the floor was probably wet and it would be a danger. The other one said they had to clean the restrooms before closing. This was at 8:30 PM. They do not close until 10 PM. Lyla the manager needs to be fired. What a horrible attitude and obviously in capable of handling any customer issues. Will be reporting this to higher ups at Rite Aid and hope this woman gets fired. And the restroom did not even need cleaning. This was just their regular routine. I could attach a photo but no one needs to see that. Rite Aid upper level managers will, however. So embarrassing and unnecessary. I truly hope this woman loses her job and my guess is she has had complaints before on other issues. She clearly had an attitude. read more

Actually this pharmacy is falling into the same game-playing that CVS did - making me jump through numerous hoops to get my prescriptions filled. Just last month I was told "no refills" with no explanation, but when I contacted my doctor they said they did send it, but it turned out that RA did have it, it just wasn't signed. Why didn't they just tell me that instead of making me feel like I'm asking for something not due or authorized? This month, though I know (because my doctors' office told me ahead of time that the doctor sent my refill to RA a couple weeks early by accident) I waited until the day it was due to be filled only to be told again "no refills". So I had to bother my doctors' office yet again, who called RA who replied "okay, just tell him to give us a couple hours because we're slammed today". That was at noon. I gave them almost eight hours to which I was told AGAIN, "no refills", so I pressed further and they said they don't have it and won't get more until Monday... so though they knew almost three weeks ago they would have to fill this prescription on this day, they somehow couldn't manage to have it in stock, didn't tell me that eight hours ago and are making me wait, again, through the weekend. What is wrong with these people? Why are they putting me, my doctor and his staff through this? Apparently because I take pain medication they think they can treat me like I'm just a junky or something. I'm in pain people, and I'm a patient and customer who deserves to be treated with dignity and respect like any other! Do I need to escalate this to the store manager, the district manager or higher? Worst pharmacy around. Hospital called in And FAXED the order for us. We got a robo call from Rite Aid saying that the prescription was already to pick-up. This was about 45 minutes before we arrived at Rite-Aid. We went to the drive in window, was 3rd car in line, took 15 minutes to get to window, and was told that the prescription wasn't ready. Also, she said we had to come inside the store to get an simple over the counter aspirin. Why can't the stock this close so they can fill this? What the hell is the point of a drive through? Woman at the drive thru was not at all helpful, she was rude and arrogant! A few years back, they also gave my wife a potentially harmful mix up, where they got the dosage completely mismatched. I had purchased these tampons in an emergency on the evening of 12/16. I didn't need them after all, unopened and in good condition today 12/22 I decided to return them since there wouldn't be a need for them. The cashier attending to me seemed aggravated with my return cuz I had no receipt or driver license in hand for the refund. FYI their return policy now if with out receipt or drivers license in hand is to give you back half the cost of what you paid and no copy of refund receipt which will require signature. In my case $2.24. The store manager was nice but timid, the cashier rude and somewhat offensive. It's just tampons yes, but I work in customer service myself and the service presented in making customers having a pleasant experience here was not met by the cashier.h read more

Ruthie is the worst customer service representative. I called to ask when I can fill one of my meds. She says "u still have 6 days left". First of all, that's NOT what I asked. So I asked her, "so does that mean I can refill it on 3/25?" And her response was "I don't have a calendar in front of me, so I'm not sure". What kind of response is that???!!!!! I'm calling the pharmacy so they can tell when I can refill it. I felt like she was trying to tell me that I'm abusing my medication. That is not for her to say. I simply asked when I can refill it. PHARMACY.... very disappointed. For four years and three months I've been using this pharmacy. They just can't seem to get it right, when you ask for "NO CHILD PROOF CAPS" Dammit, again? Argh.... I have actually requested that they put it in my profile. The last time I got home and had to call them and ask them to put it in my profile again and they said it was already there. Apparently that doesn't really do any good. You should probably double check your containers before you walk or drive away. I have had to remind the staff a couple of times but they still cannot seem to get it right. I have arthritic hands and specifically request them to be easy off caps. Instead, I'm dealing now, for the next 30+ days, with opening these lovely caps with sore hands. Maybe I'll have to leave it open on my counter for all my guests to see. Get it right pharmacy!!!! The first time i went there i had pretty good service and was not charged. The second time i went there, i stood there for over five minutes with no one else there. i stood there patiently as i watched the lady stand 5 feet from me and did not even acknowledge i was there, When she finally decided to help me, she got my meds and told me i owed for the meds, i explained that i was on medical and was not charged the last time. She walked over to the computer for a minute, came back and told me that i paid the last time. I told her that i did not pay last time but she insisted i did. This is my daily stop on the way home from work. All the people that work there are nice and friendly. They're quick to open more registers if the line gets long. Best prices on BEER anywhere :) As far as the Pharmacy, it's a typical pharmacy. Sometimes they're quick and sometimes they're not... but they're never rude. I can't enough about the pharmacy tech GABBY!!! She saved MY LIFE, I was diagnosed with adult asthma last year and been having the hardest time with it. Constant hospital visits between here and L.A. I called GABBY as I was having an BAD asthma attack this morning and couldn't breathe worried I wouldn't make it to the hospital. Called rite aid a spoke to her asked her if I could transfer my prescription from CVS CALABASAS to her store immediately cause I couldn't breathe. She said she would call me back if she could do it and what do you know, the phone rang and it was her telling me to pick up my script now. She is my angel and I am so very grateful to her and her staff to come through in a time of need. She went beyond the call of her duty to help someone life. Hello, I have been going to this rite aid since it was thriftys its been a very long time. It use to be a great experience with the pharmacy and check out lines for items. Recently it was the worse experience with Andrew and Victoria. Me and my little boy came in and asked for the key to the bathroom and Victoria said she will give us the key in a minute and to knock at the bathroom door first to see if someone can let me in that might be in the bathroom. I then took my son to the bathroom knocked and waited for 10 minutes. No one was in there and Victoria did not come to open the bathroom. I then went to the front again and asked politely "Can you please open the door my little boy has to pee really bad he might pee " She then said, " Listen here, we have customers waiting in line that are more important then him going to the bathroom so step aside." I was so shocked at her response I then looked at 2 other check out workers to see if they would be able to help and then ANDREW stepped in and said "Look we have a line and only 3 check out people today and I'm the manager and I'm even checking people out, these people have better things to do then wait in line." I was so shocked at there response I then started recording Andrew because Its something i wouldn't even believe RITE AID employees would even say. I also asked for there names and victoria was yelling at me so loudly her name saying "its victoria like the street" she repeated it 3 times. I was so confused because they were yelling at me and extremely rude and I was nice and respectful since i walked out and left. That smart car that is ALWAYS parked there is rather annoying...plus I thought all upfront parking should be for customers (since space IS limited in that area). Then I too had a problem with the ice cream lady. Me and 2 co-workers had just had lunch and I said 'LETS GET ICECREAM!' we all stood in line (I was last because I aslo wanted a candy bar) and about 20 minutes later it was my turn. Drove 40 minutes to the drive-through pharmacy today because I have two very sick kids with a very contagious illness. The baby had just fallen asleep -first nap in days - and it was 100 degrees out with 35 mph winds. I had a prescription pad sheet from my kid's pediatrician with a medication written on it. The pharmacy nearest the ped's office didn't carry it. Once at the window, the woman told me it's OTC, and she cannot sell it through the pharmacy drive-through window. We drove home without the medication we needed. Thank you, dear lady, for being so understanding. After 48 miserable hours of no sleep, no eating or drinking, and a baby who's on the verge of being taken to the ER, I REALLY appreciate the fact that you couldn't sell me medication, "prescribed" by the doctor, since it was OTC. Although I will hold out to purchase the same items at target because they're less expensive, if I do need that instant gratification I will pay the few extra bucks. The one thing that is great is their ice-cream. Where else these days can you get a scoop of cream for 1.25. I do remember the days where I'd come to "thrifty" and get a scoop for under 80 cents but the price is still pretty good. read more

My memories of ice cream started here when it was called Thrifty and located on Channel Islands Blvd. Glad to see Rite Aid has maintained Thrifty's ice cream tradition in this current location. Back in the day it was 10 cents for a single scoop... yeah we're talkin' way back! Hah! Now at $1.79/ scoop, it's still the cheapest around with a quality that's never changed. Still tasty, too! Still the best option for ice cream in Oxnard also (Well... maybe except Tuesdays when B.R. has $1 scoops... maybe). Thrifty created and serves one of my all time favorite flavors: Chocolate Malted Crunch... sometimes imitated, but never duplicated! My kids love their Cotton Candy & Birthday Cake flavors. They ask for it in every ice cream place we go. This specific Rite Aid has a nice set up for ice cream. Feels more like an ice cream parlor here. Its also not as hard to find somebody to scoop for you compared to other Rite Aids. They do wash their hands before they scoop , too. If no one is at the ice cream zone, just go pay at the cashier and someone will arrive promptly to assist, usually. Overall, it may be a 3 star experience, but it is 4 stars in my nostalgic heart. read more

Went to get my covid test and the pharmacist was sooooo freaking rude. She was Asian didn't get to catch her name bc she would barely raise her voice enough for me to hear her. I told her multiple times nicely I'm sorry I can't hear you and she would roll her eyes so far back in her head like I was bothering her. Like hello you have a microphone for a reason please use it. Went in this morning to see if they had any cleaning items that is hard to get these days with COVID-19. First impression was not friendly and welcoming at all. They had 2 ladies in the front working on something and not greeting anyone b/c they were both staring at a computer. Sales floor person walks towards me and glares at me, looking at me up and down but had a greeting with a friendly "hello" to the Caucasian man walking behind me. Also looking for the product I needed the same lady was walking behind, again glares at me and gives me a stale "hi" in the isle. I went to purchase 3 disinfectant sprays, when paying the cashier tells me only 1, but there was no sign letting customers know the limit. Just came from CVS and they have a sign there! I respect it and understand with pandemic on the limit but how the first sales person made me feel, who knows if they just didn't want to sell to me. This place is extremely slow. I called in at 6:10pm and was told my order would be ready at 6:45pm. I arrived promptly at 6:45 and was told that my medicine was not ready and I would have to wait 30 minutes for the pharmacist who had just left to lunch. I returned at 7:20pm, this time through the drive through but no one came to the window. I rang the call button but no one came, I rang a second and a third and yet no acknowledgement . I finally got up at and rang it non stop until finally someone came and said they had heard me but still no help. Twenty minutes later and I finally got my medicine. read more

Really awful pharmacy service. I'm waiting for my son's prescription and no one else is waiting but they have us wait 45 minutes to an hour for a prescription we are here personally waiting. They have 10 ahead that did drop off. I have a 2 year old running around and I'm letting him because it's a long time to wait. read more

Several times, I needed questions answered and was treated with patience every time. I tried this Rite Aid because their competitor down the street had me waiting in line every time I went there. This Rite Aid is always clean and the employees are always friendly. The pharmacist helped me find a over the counter product that I needed and answered all of my questions about it. And the line usually moves quickly. Their prices are not the lowest, but I think their service and inventory makes up for it. read more
