It was a single-pill script, so after the 15 minute prescribed wait, I hopped in line to see if it was available. Usually, my CVS app would alert me and/or I'd get a text, but neither happened. The pharmacist was like, "Yes, we called her name" when I asked if it was ready yet, which was strange as I absolutely didn't hear it. Strange they're not up to date on their technology, but alrighty. I also had to tap my card twice to pay. All in all, glad I stopped in as it saved me a trip at home but the vibe sure was something else.

This CVS is smaller than some others so it's not as well stocked with holiday items during the end of year holiday season, and have a small refrigerator and freezer section. With the lack of a grocery store in Old City, the smart thing to do would be to expand those sections. But I can usually find what I'm looking for here. And the pharmacy rarely has a wait. They recently added self checkout machines, so u can generally avoid that person holding up the line complaining about something or asking for a rain check on a coupon. This CVS has been a welcome addition to my Old City neighborhood since the day it opened.

I went into the city to stay at a hotel but with my luggage stuck at the airport and inaccessible, I went in search for a drugstore to get some toiletries and other items once I arrived to the hotel. This CVS Pharmacy was the closest drugstore to the hotel. As I walked to the front entrance, there was a homeless man in front of the entrance where it was awkward to walk around him but I needed to go into the store. I was pleased, however, with the service and the items in stock upon my arrival though. The store looked a bit disheveled where a number of items including deodorant were locked up, and I needed to find an employee to assist me. Once the employee arrived, I was able to ask them where other items I was looking for were located. One item was too large (for only one night), and the employee went into the back to find me a smaller item at a smaller price. Not all employees would have been willing to do so. Ultimately, I found all items I was looking for, which were all everyday items. When I was leaving (11:45-11:50) that same checkout person was starting to roll down the blinds in the front on the store. Why, why, why do Philadelphia businesses consistently close 5, 10, 15 minutes earlier than they claim to close? Especially in a city where almost nothing is open after 9 or 10 PM? I got there in time and got what I needed, but I was STILL angry that they acted like they can close when they feel like closing. They probably act that way because they CAN. And DO. As a 35-year customer-service veteran and a person with time management issues, it fills me with rage that they close so much earlier than the advertised closing time.

She said she needed to clarify with my doctor directly, because the cough medicine was a controlled substance and she didn't know how much the prescription was for -- even though the amount (in mL) was specifically written on the prescription. What's the point of having a pharmacist who refuses to read and follow the written prescription? Of course, my doctor was already gone for the weekend so he wasn't answering phone calls. I later went somewhere else to get my medicine & and the prescription was filled without any problems. Basically, this pharmacist refused to give me my medication even though I had a perfectly good prescription. If you're looking to fill a prescription, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

They not only took time to address an issue (as any company should) but went above and beyond what they could have done and very efficiently, and I find that very respectable, professional and honorable.

Paid parking is available in the same building but most people are walking past the building. The store is large and has many items to choose from. Personal items, food items, medicines, snacks, drinks and so much more. The staff is friendly and once the line builds the cashiers call for backup. There is a pharmacy at this location but due to location restrictions no drive thru. I'll definitely be back.
