Extremely rude staff at pharmacy and very disorganized. I was stunned today when one of the pharmacy staffs started to yell at me when I asked when a syringe I needed for my shot would be available. Prior to that, in two recent instances, they made mistakes with my insurance and I had to ask my insurance company to call them. Unsurprisingly, they made the insurance point person also impatient with their level of being disorganized. I have never had such a negative experience at a pharmacy in a consistent way, which prompts me to transfer my prescriptions to another CVS or even to a Walgreens. read more

I just experienced (2/5/23) the rudest & most unprofessional interaction with the pharmacy. I will transfer my RX & will not patronize this location ever again. Their overall low star Yelp rating is appropriate- I will look into an independent pharmacy to no longer patronize CVS at all. I called at 1:14 pm to refill a Rx. The tech said 1 hr. She heard my disappointment & asked if I was already there . I stated I was a a couple blocks away, she said to come in 20 minutes. The call lasted 4 minutes, so she said this at approximately 1:18 pm. thus summoning me at 1:38 pm. At 1:40 pm, I arrived to a closed pharmacy gate & a sign noted they close 130 - 2 pm for a break. After waiting a few minutes, I asked the pharmacist about my Rx, I said I was told to pick it up now. She replied, incredulously, they're on break, etc. "We're 12 minutes into our break, we open at 2 pm." I relayed my confusion because I was told to come at this time. I asked if she was the person I spoke to, she said no. Then the tech (out of my view) said she told someone that, but that was "a while ago" with an attitude of annoyance in her tone. Umm...it was 20 minutes ago...that's how long ago she said it. I walk away, understandably frustrated. Clearly, the tech didn't realize the time when she told me to come in 20 min, inadvertently, telling me to come when they're closed. An understandable mistake. But instead of owning it, they treat me poorly, as if I am the issue. I'm doing what I was directed to do. This increasingly bothers me as minutes tick by. (To be fair, the pharmacist didn't know I was told this, but her affect was still rude.) I had my wife & kids waiting in the car outside & this will now be about 45 min of them waiting. I buy snacks, take it to them outside & explain the wait. At 1:55 pm I go to the gate & stand to await the opening. Before it does, I hear the tech (still out of view) say to the pharmacist, in a nasty tone, "...& when she called, it was like..." the pharmacist stopped her, looked at me with wide eyes to try to indicate to this poor excuse for an employee to shut up b/c I'm standing there. They didn't know who I was, but they quickly learned who I'm NOT...& that's "the one." I proceeded to read that little girl & the pharmacist for filth. I attached the screenshot of my call. I am also not the silent type, the entire store probably heard me say the only thing they should be offering me is an apology for their mistake, not their attitude. The pharmacist immediately changed her affect, apologized & filled my Rx in 5 min. She was suddenly pleasant as pie, twice as sweet. [802] This 20th and Market CVS locations is fairly new (opened a few short years). The store is in a busy corner which makes it easily accessible to anyone in the area. Paid parking is available in the same building but most people are walking past the building. The store is large and has many items to choose from. Personal items, food items, medicines, snacks, drinks and so much more. The staff is friendly and once the line builds the cashiers call for backup. There is a pharmacy at this location but due to location restrictions no drive thru. I'll definitely be back. read more

I have been to this CVS on numerous occasions. What I feel warrants a review are for two reasons. The first is the pharmacy. There was a pharmacist (Rana) who assisted me there that deserves a shout out because she was so helpful towards me. I went to an Urgent Care (Jefferson) awhile back as I thought I had Covid (turns out it wasn't) , but was prescribed a medication (Albuterol) by the MD I saw there. She had informed me that the medication the doctor prescribed wasn't covered by my insurance and would cost me $40. She said that there was another type of medication that was similar to the one I was prescribed and covered by my insurance (Levalbuterol). She went out of her way to call the urgent care directly but was unsuccessful with getting through as they hung up on her. She then called advised I call the UC and I did get through but then I was hung up on as well. She then called a second time and still wasn't able to get through. On my final try we were able to get in touch with the MD, and we used my phone on speaker and she spoke to the doctor directly. I was then able to get my prescription filled for the alternative medication. I did have to wait quite some time as the UC didn't put it through until about an hour and a half later, but they did nonetheless. I was so happy about this as the new medication costed $10. What I really appreciated the most was how willing Rana was to help me. She didn't need to take this extra steps or even inform me of a cheaper medication but she did and that says something. I also wanted to give a shout out to a security guard (Adreim) I'm not sure if I spelled his name correctly but I had brought my dog Bonnie in recently (she's an ESA and soon to be PSD) as well and she gets excited easily with others and he took notice and was actually able to calm her down. His kind and friendly demeanor towards her made my store visit (unrelated to the pharmacy visit I had as these were two separate visits), made it all the more pleasant. He even took the time to show me some tips on how to train her. I was so grateful and impressed and he took to Bonnie really well. She now has a CVS friend! Anyhow, I appreciate the service I received. One of the store attendants also helped though I didn't get his name. Bonnie was so reluctant to leave the store once we got to to the entrance that she stalled and parked herself right in the entryway. The kind gentleman came away from the register to help redirect her outside which I found beyond kind. I wish I had gotten his name but I didn't. I just appreciated the kindness and sincerity they both showed to me and my dog that day. It's nice to know my main pharmacy has my back in more ways than one:) Thank you. read more

people working in the pharmacy are extremely rude, unwelcoming and unhelpful. you can stand in front the the counter as long as you want and they just pretend they didn't see you. when you ask a question they give you dirty looks. unfortunately my prescriptions goes to CVS otherwise there's no way I will step in that place and get treated that way. it's amazing how cvs find all of those miserable people working in one place. read more

It's alright. I am never impressed by the employees or the store layout. As far as CVSs go, this is all you really need. It is convenient to stop in while I am at work since it is right in the corner. One good thing about it is that there usually isn't a very long line. Also, Valentine's Day is just a few weeks away and chocolate is 50% off. Sweet deal! read more

I can find everything I need here relatively quickly and love how they have a self-check out (which no one uses for some reason!) Love it!

This place is pretty infuriating. Service is incredibly slow and rude. I stopped in to get some gift cards and, after waiting a few minutes in front of the checkout counter for the checkout woman to ostensibly finish a conversation before acknowledging me, i had to repeat how much i wanted put on the first card several times, because the checkout woman was still complaining to her colleague about how grumpy she was about... something. I gently called her out for not listening and she stormed away before completing the transaction. Her colleague seemed embarrassed, apologized, and took over. There are generally two (every so often, three!) checkout people working, with several times as employees many milling about the aisles and not seeming to do much of value. Thank goodness they just put in self-checkout things. For weeks before this place opened (i work across the street) there was a blaringly bright sign advertising, "Open 24 Hours!!!" That's not the case, as i learned only after leaving work late one night and attempting to buy toilet paper, to no avail. read more

This CVS sucks. They are rude and God forbid you don't get there at least 30 mins before their 1:30 lunch, especially when you get stuck with a prescription that can't be transferred (made the mistake of transferring it from the awesome CVS near my house) you'll have to sit there until they finally open back up. I had to wait 30 mins on the phone the day before because they f----d up that prescription in there system. Now I get there and have to sit there for 30 f-----n minutes because it'll take that long just to drive back home. My Out of Pocket is already satisfied, so they don't even need to do anything except give me the damn thing. I am going to find some way to get this back to my normal CVS, every single CVS sucks ass except for that one. All of them are rude and clearly hate themselves and there job. I hope my normal CVS always has the same staff, otherwise I will just get my scripts filled somewhere else. At least this review killed 16 minutes of the time I have to waste waiting for them to not eat lunch while they are closed 30 minutes for lunch. God this place sucks. read more

The pharmacy here is a complete waste of time. I go to fill a prescription and "Rachel" tells me they won't be able to help me until the following Tuesday, a week after. I go that Tuesday, they tell me they can't order anymore, as they've reached their quota for the month. They can't get their claims straight. read more

I'm officially done with the 1919 Market Street location. I live very nearby and was so glad when it opened. The problem is, it is not a full-scale CVS, so, EVERY time I go in, there is something they don't have. Today I went in only to use a 40% off one item coupon that was expiring and to pick up Chex Mix for a co-worker. Yes, they were out of Chex Mix. I picked up a product to use the coupon, and a few other items on sale, and when checking out the coupon was not accepted. Was told that the product was buy one, get one 50% off, but IT WAS NOT MARKED THAT WAY. Plus, for a product like Pepcid, how many bottles does one person need? And while I'm on it, when I buy a 2 pack of saline solution, why on the next visit do I then get a coupon for saline solution. The 2-pack will last me a year. How much does anyone use saline?!?
