One time I tried to come here and I couldn't even access the front door because the employees of the 7-Eleven were holding up a guy claiming he stole some thing which didn't quite make sense to me as I watched, and he literally turned all of his pockets, inside out, and told the guys over and over that they could body search him. I moved on and walk somewhere else to get other food/snacks not thinking too much of it other than sympathy for the customer being attacked. Because of the location and the conference I was attending. There was one point where I did need to just run in and grab, something to drink and I have to say the service and people who work there were so rude and inconsiderate. Went to the store located at 22nd Walnut Street, Philadelphia, Pa and had a horrible customer service experience!! Wanted to purchase gas, 2 bottles of deer park water, which the sign said 2 for $3.50, an ice tea and pack of donuts. When I got to the register I asked the cashier was the was $3.50 for both bottles and he said.."it's $2.50 a piece according to the register. I said your signs says something different after I walked back to the refrig to confirm . In stead of him verifying this or calling a manager, he replied, I am charging you what my register says"! Needless to say, I only paid for the gas and left the other items behind. Horrible customer service and I will not be back! read more

It's probably rare that one would spend time researching convenience stores before deciding where to consume a meal; however, with the knowledge that there are over 50,000 locations on 4 continents it would seem irresponsible to not share a review that might help someone avoid a catastrophic decision. Clearly, this chain would not have thrived since 1926 if it didn't offer customers a valuable product. That product is not the Monterrey Jack Taquito. Hector was extremely friendly and insisted that we take full advantage of the "five choices for $4" opportunity that did indeed seem wise at the time. The store was clean, properly lit, and the cooler was obviously well maintained as it provided us with beverages within the desired temperature range. My list of compliments has now been exhausted. While it is unfair that the expectations of a late night eatery were so highly established by the legendary accomplishments of Waffle House, I do purchase food with the anticipation that it not be the reason that I lose sleep. Various items were sampled, so it would be wrong to assume or place total blame on the taquito, but it's texture led me to believe that it might have rolled a marathon before being served. Whether it was curiosity, sympathy for its apparent loneliness, or a desperate wish that it could somehow miraculously taste like a late night slice from the streets of nyc, I also tasted the last slice of pepperoni pizza on display. Imagine, if you will, the most delicious pizza you have ever tasted. A thin, chewy, slightly charred crust with fresh melty cheese. Ok. This was exactly opposite. The result of my consumption was a rude, middle of the night wake-up call by my digestive system. While my body was filled with food, my soul was equally filled with regret. This was a rookie mistake made by a seasoned veteran. It would be wrong to advise visitors to downtown Philadelphia to avoid this 7-eleven, but one would be wise to stick to the Big Gulps and go to sleep hungry. read more

The 7-Eleven I visited was located 917 Filbert St Philadelphia, PA 19107. The service was slow and impersonal. The price of some items is not matched with the price tag (they charge you more than the price tag). The cashier was rude, he would ask customers to double check the price instead he double checking and insists he's absolutely right. This happened to me so many times. The game they play is they help you solve the problem when there are other customers, however, whenever you are the only customer checking out, they would totally ignore you. read more
