I've followed up 23 times with 7-Eleven since this incident on May 24, 2025, and still no real reply -- even though I have an official case number. All of this started over a simple double-charge mistake on my receipt. Instead of fixing it professionally, the cashier shouted profanity, threatened me, my elderly parents, and my nephew, and even came outside with a stick. Be careful -- the staff here clearly lack proper background checks and basic respect for customers. Escalation will take place if they keep ignoring this. At least for the moment, this 7-eleven is the only late-nite eats available in Rittenhouse. I'm not one to review chain spots, but did you know that 7-eleven is Japanese? In Japan, you can get amazing gourmet food at a 7-eleven! It's a cornucopia of amazing choices! First...this is no longer a 7-11, it's a named convenience store. 24 hrs..so you can stock your Airbnb when you arrive in sleepy town Philadelphia. They no longer have Amazon lockers here. They have some funky British style gambling machines that seem to attract some transient characters. Good for what it is but not the friendliest staff. read more

Some 7-Elevens are just horrible, but this location is solid and is comparable to Wawa. It is spacious, fairly clean and has an amazing variety. This place has giant green awnings marked with "7-Eleven." My biggest concern with this place is that one of the front doors is broken and seems as if it has never been replaced. It is now just covered up with some cardboard snack stands. Food wise they have some good options including vegan burritos and veggie packs. They also have pizzas, burgers and chicken wings! I'm not sure how fresh they are, but they come out hot and are heated daily. Not Wawa, but pretty good. If you like snacks they have some healthier options like whole grain chips and nuts. They also have a great variety f candies and the traditional snacks like chips, popcorn and soft pretzels. They have a really good donut selection and they are based upon promotions at times. Their donuts are better than Wawa. Their drink selection is crazy good. Vitamin water,energy drinks, soda, juices. They usually have deals like 2 drinks for a $1. Of course they have slurpees. They also have an Amazon locker here. The staff here is very friendly and are great at stopping backup in the lines. They are polite and know customer relations. This location formerly a Wawa. To be real with you guys, this 7/11 hit! I've been goi g to this one for a good 3 months now and I enjoy the food here. Forgot that 7/11 sells a lot of things so I was wondering what to eat for lunch. They have a variety of foods you can eat, even an angus hamburger which shocked me. Foods here are very cheap and I enjoyed their pizza. Everything else was perfect but the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the greasy and oily pizza. I love the grease which I don't have a problem with, it was just the oil. It made it unconsumable but still ate the pizza cause I was hungry. Overall this place is a 10/10 cause it's nice, small, and clean. read more

I'm sad this isn't a wawa, but it does have its redeeming qualities. Like this past summer I was having a dinner party and asked friends to bring lemonade. What a wonderful discovery! 7-eleven lemonade does not have high fructose corn syrup in it! Plus it is often buy one get one free or 2 for something. Lemonade+Tequila makes a simple homemade margarita. So 7-Eleven has some redeeming qualities, but I'm still a wawa girl at heart read more

I don't know this for sure, but my first impression of this place is that it is run by unscrupulous people. Come along with me, as I journey back in time -- all the way back to Wednesday... I step foot in this 7 Eleven, and the first thing I think is: this is one of the nicest looking 7 Elevens I've ever seen. It is very clean, bright, and spacious. Very nice looking selection of prepared meals. There were many that actually looked like they'd be quite good. But I wasn't hungry this day. No. All I needed were a few items. First, some good old TP. And let me be perfectly clear (as clear as Barack Obama): I DON'T buy the cheapest toilet paper because I'm cheap. I buy it because I like the way the cheap stuff feels. The more like sandpaper, the better. I like to feel like its working. I don't need to or even want to feel like an angel is up there. Or some perverted freak named Scott. In any case, I got myself 4 rolls. And then I just needed one more thing - some plastic cups for a little party I'm having this weekend. I go ahead and drop my stash on the counter, begin to extract several singles from my wallet, when the cashier looks at me and says, "24.99." I respond, "That's not right." He points at a price tag on the plastic cups which reads 19.99. I begin laughing. I tell him the price is clearly wrong. He tells me he's got to talk to his manager. Meanwhile, I tell the folks behind me waiting in line that I'm just going to go run and get different plastic cups to hurry the process along. Before he got back from doing his price check, I already had another cashier ringing up my two sleeves of cups for 1.99 each. That's more like it. At around that same moment, the first cashier comes back from his consultation with his manager. He tells me that the price was, in fact, incorrect. And that the price is actually 14.99. THAT'S the unscrupulous part. CLEARLY, THAT price is also far too high. His manager did no actual price check at all. He simply told the cashier to pretend that the real price was actually 5 dollars less, thinking that I'd be stupid enough to accept this. Why, because I'm white, and you're a racially superior Indian? You think white people are stupid don't you? We'll just believe what you tell us, and fork over our money. read more

If you play lottery here you will wait in line for a while, they wait on everybody else before you, and it makes you feel like a second-class customer, every time I come in here they do the same, so be prepared to wait, but I have since gone to another lottery outlet that respects your business. read more

How I miss the Wawa that used to live here. How I miss the mac and cheese, the surly deli staff, and the grade-A hoagie goodness. But Wawa decided to leave Center City West, and 7-Eleven is redoubling their urban efforts. The store's a lot cleaner than Wawa was. It's also severely limited in the prepared food, although I did see some Kosher vegetarian sandwiches and some intriguing Panini. Reasonable beverage selection -- I mean it's a convenience store after all. Nothing to write home about. Nice to have a place other than McDonald's on the south side of Walnut again that's open in the wee hours. The lack of enthusiasm is entirely aligned with me missing my shorti hoagies... read more

This place is always there for me when I need a pick me up. The coffee is great (as great as convenience store coffee can be!) and there's always an energy drink of sorts on sale. You can find a decent lunch in a pinch as well, the vegetarian/vegan section has some good finds and the chicken tenders are surprisingly good and inexpensive. The staff is always friendly and more than willing to help you or grab what you want if it's not on the shelf. As much as I love & miss Wawa, I am thankful for a nice, clean, friendly place to grab caffeine close to my work. read more

I know writing a review for a convenience store is a little weird, but I am not sure what I would do without this 7-Eleven. The staff is really friendly, even the nights I have stumbled in late for an emergency Red Bull or after hours mixers. It's bright, clean and safe with a HUGE selection of for the most part reasonably priced stuff. It's a corner market off Rittenhouse Square, you can't be expecting to be getting the best deals. They have vegan and vegetarian foods! I know it's no Wawa like the one that occupied the space formerly, but I LOVE having quick grab and go veggie options that are actually tasty and fresh enough. There is a large freezer section and a hot bar, but I likely will never order anything from off the rollers. There are the quick things you need including single serve pain relievers and really great grocery options like nuts and a huge selection of health bars. Last they have a Citibank ATM. I love having my bank available on my walk into the square. read more

I come here for bottled water, Kind bars which are often on sale, bananas, a quick snack, etc. The service is usually pretty quick and friendly! I've had a few of their hot dogs which were good too. I usually stop by when I need a bite to eat, they have a decent snack selection. I'll probably be back sometime next week for the 2 for $3 Kind bar sale! read more

As 7-11 stores go, this store, located at the corner of 20th & Locust Sts. is one of the best overall--clean, well-stocked, good customer service, self-serve machines (Big Gulp and Slurpee stations in particular) always in top, working condition--unlike many other 7-11's I've visited over the years. Though it's much cleaner and organized than the Wawa which used to occupy this space from about 1990-2007, the lack of a deli with fresh ingredients, a la Wawa, is really the biggest and only drawback here. Living very close by, I definitely appreciate having a 24/7 convenience store just a few minutes away. Yes, the prices are higher than a supermarket's, but I doubt people come here to do their weekly grocery shopping. All of the essentials one comes to a 7-11 for are here, anytime, which is a definite plus, as there are very few establishments open all night in this part of Rittenhouse/Center City West. The staff is almost uniformly pleasant and the manager is awesome--I once asked her why certain products were unavailable, & not only did she follow up on finding out why and ordered what she could, whenever she sees me she asks if there's anything I need or have a question about. All in all, one of the nicer 7-11's you'll find, especially in Center City (West). read more

Standard 7-11 but bigger, cleaner and better lit. Everything is about $1 cheaper than the other quick-stop shops in that neighborhood so that is a plus but without an extensive selection of prepared foods or a deli counter it lacks what the others offer. This is a great place to stop for cash (with a cheap ATM in the back), for a drink or a late night snack. Also, it's open 24 hours so at least this convenient store is convenient. read more

I love this place.I might even like it better than the old Wawa. It is one of the biggest 7 elevens i have seen. It is very clean and the staff is very nice. Every morning I go here and get a coffee and grab something from their fresh bakery section. I love the coffee. They have so many flavors and you can customize it any way you like. Then i come back for lunch. First off they have a bunch of items on the grill and pizza. I am vegetarian and i love their different vegan and kosher sandwiches. They also have a sitting area so i usually eat there.It is open 24 hours a day so when i am craving something in the middle of the night i just walk down and get it. This place is not your usual convenient store. It is very large so it has so many things. They have so many different drinks in their coolers. They also have a bunch of home supplies like cups and toilet paper and different cleaners. It is good because near my place grocery and department stores are far and this place covers up for that. The prices here are a little more expensive than a big department or grocery store but they are much cheaper than other convenient stores. Overall this place makes my life easy because this place has everything and it is only down the block. read more
