I get a lot of persc from here monthly. I went yesterday 2/4/2026 to pick up 8 prescriptions the cashier told me I had to pay .10 for a paper bag. I understand they charge for bags for purchases but if I have 8 prescriptions how am I suppose to carry all of them without one ? To make matters worse the lady in from of me had one prescription and 3 items she purchased ge gave her a bag for free. terrible customer service and I'll probably be transferring my prescriptions to a different location cause this isn't how you treat a long time / monthly care member. The employees here are more helpful and friendly than any other CVS I have been to. This is the primary reason this one is my favorite. This CVS is smaller than some others so it's not as well stocked with holiday items during the end of year holiday season, and have a small refrigerator and freezer section. With the lack of a grocery store in Old City, the smart thing to do would be to expand those sections. But I can usually find what I'm looking for here. And the pharmacy rarely has a wait. They recently added self checkout machines, so u can generally avoid that person holding up the line complaining about something or asking for a rain check on a coupon. This is a great CVS. It's rather new (2 years) relative to many others in the city. It has an open, sunny feel thanks to windows along the wall flanking Market Street. It's also very clean, unsure if this owes to the newness of the store or excellent cleaning staff. Either way, I appreciate it. Their customer service is friendly, and there is nearly always a smiling staff member greeting folks at the door. The front-of-store line can get a bit slow, but this is a norm at city drug stores. The pharmacy is quick and the line has been so short each time I've visited (usually around lunch hour). Product selection is a bit limited. They carry most major brands. Beware, they only carry 1 type of Aquafresh. Go elsewhere for non-Colgate and non-Crest options. Their photo section offers good quality and user-friendly services. I've printed vacation photos here (yes, there are people like me who still print photos). They also provide quick and inexpensive Passport photos if you need an update for your Passport. read more

* * * TIP * * * PASSPORT PHOTOS here for $15!!!!!! Two blocks from Passport Agency, don't go to the obvious places on the corners flanking the gov building ($26), walk around the corner and up a block to CVS. They will do it immediately, print right then and there, and send you on your way for $15!!!! Or, take your own pics ahead with a passport photo app, and have them printed on 4x6" for $0.33... this option will require a couple hours' planning in advance. Staff was super-friendly. Checkout was speedy. Store is a little cramped, but the is norm for city. All they typical CVS products expected, perhaps not extended variety as with bigger stores, but they had what I needed. read more

They allow everyone to just bring in dogs. Even through a mask, it smells like a kennel. I have very mild dog allergies that haven't been a problem in years, but I went in here and my skin started itching, my nose started running, and my eyes went red and watery. There were at least three dogs in the small store at the same time. Inconsiderate, unsanitary, and inappropriate. read more

Went in there today and I can't believe I'm writing a review on a CVS. The manager was extremely helpful. Most will usually give a dismissive answer but the guy that worked there walked me over to the hand sanitizers and then walked me over to another area where they might be. Then I had a question about a charging cable and he walked me over to the cables and told me more were behind cashier. The cashier that checked me out was helpful as well and pleasant. I had a bad customer service experience here a few weeks ago, however, the general manager (his name is Mike) went above and beyond to correct the situation. I've worked in the service industry for a long time, so complaining is not something I do often - but Mike took the complaint in stride and made it right. I'll definitely continue to shop here. One of the nicest CVS locations in the city. Always very clean and well stocked. Employees are very friendly and helpful. I typically stop in between grocery store trips and while the prices are a bit higher, there are actually some great deals on cereal ($1.99 sales!). read more

This CVS needs a revamp. The store feels old and grungy and can sometimes have an interesting smell to it. The staff are either hit or miss and the lighting is very dark and gloomy. Recommended to try one of the other CVS' in the area, and if you have a car, head to the one by Whole Foods! The selection in this CVS is right on par with the selection at other CVS stores, but it just feels a lot dirtier. The shelves are very well stocked and it is well-organized. Passport photos can be done here for $15. The store itself is in a beautiful part of town that is on the outskirts of old city. The surrounding area has plenty of shops, restaurants and offices that you can walk to from this CVS location. read more

The employees at this location are very friendly, polite, and helpful. They asked us if they could help us find anything, and we said backpacks. The employee pointed to the top of the shelves, which had 3-4 backpacks on top. They were more so for kids, so we didn't end up purchasing one, but she was still super helpful! read more

I live in the area, so this would likely be my go-to drugstore regardless, but, I must say, it's clean, well-stocked and the staff is super friendly and efficient. Since opening, this CVS is my go-to corner drugstore. Very clean inside! Easy to deal with pharmacy. Sometimes they are out of items though which is a bummer. Good selection of grab and go food items, and never that long of a wait at the registers with super friendly cashiers. read more

This brand new CVS is the best in the area!! So clean and well-stocked. I found everything I needed (never happens at the 11th and Market location) and the staff was so nice! The cashier was polite and well-dressed and apologized several times for not having a bag large enough for my paper towels, which I never expected to find anyway! I recently moved across town and was looking to switch pharmacies from 19th and Chestnut to this one. I called to see if I could get a prescription filled but it needed to be transferred. The cashier Melissa is extremely rude. When I asked for my cash back to be broken down as she had her drawer open she slammed the door shut and called on for the next customer. I had been waiting in line for 10 minutes already - I told her it was rude to rush me when I had been waiting for service. I had to ask the cashier next to her for the money to be broken down. She then said "next customer" and basically waved me off. I told her that was really rude and I was awfully controlled and polite yet she rudely responded "I have a line.." I know I was in the line for 10 minutes waiting! The manager had to tell her to stop arguing with me.. I don't understand how this was okay and she should not be working at the register with this kind of attitude. I attend this store everyday but there is a 7/11 across the street and there are other places to go to in the vicinity. I don't need to go to CVS everyday and I won't. read more

This must be the best CVS in the Philadelphia region. The pharmacists and technicians are very customer friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Because of the location they must get a wide variety of costumers in the store and get their fair share of challenges. Nicole is one of the best pharmacists that I've ever dealt with. She always has a smile on no matter the time of day or night. I'd recommend all of my coworkers to switch their prescriptions here. read more
