Small Walgreens but great for everything you need not to mention the pharmacy. They often have clip coupons when you buy online for pick up. Tons of sales, recommend downloading slick deals app and the members on there are happily pointing it out to you. Recently got toilet paper and Ferraro rocere fancy chocolates, the best, for much less. Customer service is pretty good here, the only thing you have to make sure is just because they say they have the product doesn't always mean it's there. Especially the sale items. If I could give it a 0 I would. I got a same day delivery and I made sure to say not to change anything. I was getting a package for 4th of July and hair tinsel and nail polish. I got red and blue fine. But the white I ordered came as a clear. I would've weathered it be canceled I already have a clear. Then the hair tinsel was in stock when I ordered it and it never was brought to my house. Very bad experienc. read more

The Thursday morning (24 August 2023) staff were excellent and extremely friendly. They were very professional and exhibited a level of customer service that you don't see often anymore; even the security officer was extremely helpful and friendly. They need to restock the soda section of the refrigerator... Always empty. I go there for snacks and the employees are very respectful and helpful. They keep me stocked with snacks but I wished they have more soda as I've said earlier. Sometimes there is a long waiting line but not for long. read more

Half of this store is under lock and key. If you are shoping you have to get someone to unlock the cabinet. There are very few employees to begin with so it will take you a considerable amount of time to shop. You also will not be able to read the label or ingredients to decide which product you want to buy unless you want to hold the employee there while you decide. Cashiers are friendly and the pharmacy is good. However, the layout of the store is a little confusing with related items at opposite sides of the store. read more

On a daily basis, you're trapped in a tin can train filled with a hundred germ-ridden human beings who are flinging bacteria and viruses about like Armageddon. No Bueno. I've been here a few times for some random stuff. Since I don't live in the area, I don't know the layout of the store very well. Because of this, you may find me looking lost and confused and maybe even lying on the floor while kicking my legs and crying. Well maybe not that far, but it's possible. In the 3 times I've been to this location, I was helped by the same woman. *^Lisa^* If it was possible to add glitter, some angel wings and write her name in bubble letters (you know how cool you are if your name is in bubble letters- right 30-something year olds??) I would. This woman should not be working at this store unless the store pays her in gold bars. She deserves nothing less. I may have even created some magical disease just to hang out with her for a few extra seconds in the "whatever ails you" aisle. If you need something or if you don't need anything come in here and find Lisa. Not only will she fix whatever your problem is and find you whatever you want, she may even snap her fingers and turn you into a handsome prince. Walgreens on Bainbridge Street Philadelphia, at Mazzoni. I have repeated problems of prescriptions and refills being inaccurate. Recently, I got home to find that they'd refilled much more medicine than I'd specifically ordered with my doctor at Mazzoni. I paid for a lot of medicine that I won't be able to use because it will expire, because I got much more than I ordered. I get conflicting stories about whether the problem is with Mazzoni or with Walgreens at Bainbridge. If I complain to Mazzoni, I'm told the screw-up was with Walgreens, and vice versa. Thankfully, my medication wasn't insulin or cancer medication. I suggest that Mazzoni patients insist that their prescriptions be inspected on the spot to be sure everything is in order. read more

I usually go to this Walgreens location a lot because it's the closest to my house. They generally have good deals from time to time; you just have to look. Now, there's nothing "extra special" about this Walgreens, except one of their employee's. I believe her name is Lisa (Beautiful, African-American lady with short, somewhat blonde hair). She was probably one of the kindest, genuinely nicest people I've every met. She immediately saw that I needed help and directed me to what I was looking for (gift cards) in person. She also saw that my hands were pretty full and immediately went to go get me a basket. I told her that wasn't necessary because with a basket, I'll buy the store. She laughed. She told me that she had a register (in cosmetics) that was open, so she could take me right away. She helped me with the stuff that was starting to fumble out of my hands and took me to her register. We shared a nice, warm conversation about our cats. Again, nothing "super special" about this store, except for Lisa (I hope that's her name). She's the only reason I gave 5 stars and took the time to right this review (I've been going to the store for nearly 7 years and this is the first time I bothered to write them a review). Never met somebody in a customer service position that is so nice, friendly, warm, compassionate, etc. I've never seen her there before so, GREAT addition Walgreens! read more

This particular pharmacy is the worst! My Walgreens closed, so they transferred me to this one. Firstly, they couldn't handle the new patient, so ever time that you called, they seemed like they were in a fog. Then at other times, I would get this petulant youmg women answering the phone being rude and unknoweldgeable, giving me ten different answers about this Gaetano or implying that I was lying when I told them that another employee told me something contradicted what she said. "They deliver, oh wait, they don't deliver, oh wait, they do but it had to g on through the app, No wait, the employee that told you that hat is new. She doesn't know yet." Finally, I transferred to another Walgreens one block and a half away whose employees are polite and efficient and deliver without a problem. I highly recommend going to Walgreens Community Pharmacy 1227 Locust Street. They are a specialty Walgreens, but may take you if you ask nicely, like I did. read more

This Walgreens has a strange store layout, but other than that is a typical Walgreens location. There are always super long lines. The cashiers try to move them as quick as they can, but when customers need to debate the price something rang up versus what they think they read in the circular, the lines get backed up. If this happens, take a peek into the makeup section. There's a register back that way that sometimes will have a cashier there who will ring you up. read more

This is my neighborhood drug store, so I pop in here often. I recently started receiving their weekly circular and they have good deals. Two weeks in a row they had my starbucks frappuccinos on sale. Additionally, when I want to print out photos, I can just upload the files to their web site, pick this location, and they are printed within in a hour! A few downsides....the greeting card collection is sparse and the sales associates in the cosmetics section are sometimes pushy about sale items and want you to make purchases at their counter. You step through the non-squeaking automatic doors and enter a clean, bright store with nothing cluttering the aisles. You're even greeted with a smile by the cashier or the floating employee walking around the store. The shelves are well stocked, everything is squeaky clean, the pharmacy isn't hectic and insane, the clientele aren't loud/abrasive. Wait...are we even in Philadelphia anymore, Toto? I know I know, this review is hard to believe...but yes, a clean/friendly/well stocked pharmacy in Philly actually does exist! Being a bit of a pharmacy aficionado (as well as a pharmacy student next door), I've seen plenty in this city and this place is a shining star. I went in my first time and this very cheerful/helpful African-American woman helped me find $.50 nail cutters, she even walked me to the register and rang me up. I didn't get a shrug, a point, a general direction...nope, she walked me to the spot and pointed to the cheapest ones. Granted, the higher prices and the fact that this place is NOT on Market St. keeps the riff-raff out...but I'm still in shock this place is the way it is. read more

A few years ago this Walgreens had posted a sign at there front door stating that dog's were NOT permitted in the store. The sign has since been taken down and now they allow dog's according to the manager who said that they are pet friendly. Well I happen to be allergic to dog's and I'm sure I'm not the only one who visit's this store. I have a question. If a dog decides to go to the bathroom on the floor in this store who cleans it up the dog owner or a store employee??? Shame, Shame. read more

I only get prescriptions here. They've even mailed them to me at no cost when I was out of town helping a sick family member (my insurance only works in one state). A huge relief! Everyone I've ever dealt with at the pharmacy was at least courteous, most of them nice, and a couple extremely nice. The ones who are extra friendly are also super knowledgeable and fast, so this leads me to believe they probably like their job. Either way, they're good at it. The young female pharmacist was so helpful and energetic! She helped me make an informed decision about which pain med I should take. She took time with other customers and didn't rush; I didn't mind waiting in line for her help. Pharmacists usually seem so bored and dull, especially early in the morning, but this woman (wish I remembered her name!) was awesome. read more

Pharmacy is terrible here. I have had multiple screwups here, including inaccurate pill counts(!!), insurance issues, etc. And they have been rude. Instead of apologizing, they have been defensive. The Walgreens on Bainbridge Street seems a bit better. read more

Just moved in to the corner of 11th and Locust Street and everyone there is new and half the staff is Russian. Very polite and helpful, a pretty big get into the store, much bigger than it looks from the outside. They have the typical camera and pharmacy kiosks. My only complaint is that there are four stairs up to store. They have a 'lift' for wheelchairs but by the time I loaded up my stroller and waited for the thing to lift me I could just wrestle the stroller up myself. I'd install a ramp. read more

The Pharmacy here is awful!! They have screwed up my refills so many times and lost my prescriptions. They are very frustrating to deal with. I am very happy to move on from this place and take my business elsewhere! I do agree that the staff for the store is helpful and nice, but unfortunately it's not enough to make up for the pharmacy. Also, their photo printer breaks down a lot and if you order them online you won't receive a notice until you go into pick up your photos...can be annoying. read more

I've been a consumer at this Walgreens for years! The staff are very nice, polite & accommodating. The store had a good selection of everything from makeup, to snacks, gifts, drinks, medical supplies, household supplies (laundry, cleaning, pet) & kitchen items & garage/fit it items (WD-40, rope, duct tape, light bulbs) Their pharmacy staff is very accomodating, pleasant & take a sincere interest. My only issue is the wheelchair/mobility - access they installed a lift to accommodate for the approximate 5 stairs. The original lift was broken for far too long. They finally replaced it & it worked wonderfully for the first few months but this one as well has been malfunctioning for months (I finally had them jerry-rig it with rope, duct tape & command clips). I'd give this location a 5 if it wasn't for the continous access issues (& yes I could go to another Walgreens there are 4 others, however this is conveniently located & because of access issues the pharmacy staff who are educated on my health & medication history so they can catch any potential problems & because of the convenient location they have been able to deliver my prescriptions to me. read more

I had to go to this location to pick up a FedEx package that was left there by FedEx for me to pick up (there is a small FedEx space inside the store). The employee half-heartedly looked at some packages, and said it wasn't there. I insisted it was and showed her the slip left on my door. She half-heartedly looked again, not in any organized or systematic manner, so she was skipping packages. I saw all of this. When I asked her to look at a couple of packages she missed and tried to look myself, she got irate and told me to get back behind the line. She insisted it was not there. I left the store and contacted FedEx. They insisted the package was there. I went back again, and same treatment. I had the door tag number not the tracking number. She asked for the tracking number they gave me when I shipped it. I reminded her (I had to do this more than once) that it was shipped TO me; I didn't ship it. Again, I tried to help her look and she got irate and told me that I had to get behind the line and that I was "hostile" so she didn't have to help me. Since these were my business checks and I needed them I asked her to Please, Please look again. Eventually I had to get FedEx on my phone to talk to her. Finally, after speaking with them, she looked through all the packages and found mine. Totally ridiculous. The woman should not be in customer service. read more

Let's start off with the reason why I'm rating a Walgreens. The clerk there handed me my receipt upon checkout and kindly asked me to do the survey on my overall experience. Unfortunately the survey had to be completed within 72hrs but I waited too late. So my review is fueled by guilt. Why? Because the clerk, Mario, was probably the most helpful employee who's ever assisted me. Instead of pointing me to the aisle the gift cards were, he escorted me to the actual rack. And when I wasn't able to locate Almond M&M's, he found them for me.. While it may merely seem like he was just doing his job, it was the manner and professionalism with which he handled it.
