I used to go to rite aide and they would fill it because I walked in they say give us 15 mins. Well Walgreens told me to come back at 6:30..... I said why? I'm here now .. he said I need to come back later .. I said what if I waited I. These chairs.. he said I'd be waiting until 6:30. I said can I get a flu shot... he said we schedule those and I said what for 6:30? This place is a complete joke... why do they even have chairs to sit in if you have to wait an hour and a half to fill 20 tabs. I used to work as a tech at rite aide.... It's not that hard or time consuming to get it filled as the patient is in front of you needed relief from antibiotics. I had everything transferred to future pharmacy that place is terrible and forget even trying to get anyone on the phones

I've had horrible interactions with pharmacists just being rude and judging me and telling me what my doctor should or shouldn't be doing, I hated the experience, I dreaded it but since going to Tony's I have had such a BETTER/different experience. The women that work there are very friendly and helpful. The pharmacist is very professional and kind. It makes my day a lot better dealing with a pharmacy that treats there patients with respect and now a days with walgreens, cvs and other local pharmacies i.e; that makes you wait 1 hour after you call them 2 hours prior so you don't have to wait but when you get there to pick it up its not ready and they say we will start it now but I called you 2 hours ago so I didn't have to wait 1 hour ( there not a big chain but I don't want to say the name because I don't want others that go there to be treated worse which will happen if they see this and unfortunately, a family member needs there meds but the woman that was filling it was extremely rude like I was shocked she acted that way after spending thousands of dollars...but we know we can't say anything or they just won't fill it) which is so unprofessional but my point is Tony's has none of that you don't have to put up with attitudes and very questionable pricing. The store itself has beautiful gifts and a lot of animal friendly things to buy. If you need a better pharmacy or pharmacists that treats you with respect and doesnt act like your bothering them please switch if you can. I wish I went to Tony's Family Pharmacy a lot sooner! If they don't have what you need but can order it they will tell you right then and there and keep you updated. It's very hard to find a pharmacy with out the stress and I know now there is at least one in Monmouth County. Thank you to everyone that works at Tony's Family Pharmacy!! I really appreciate it and can now see these other pharmacies could care less about you and your health. It's not you that's the problem this is the career they chose if they have a question then contact the doctor they shouldn't be taking it out on you. As a patient we don't even see the script and once its sent to one pharmacy majority of the time you can't switch it to a different one the doctor has to but we are just trying to get our medicine 99 percent of people aren't trying to make anyone's life harder. My youngest requires compounded medications due to their extensive medical needs. Lenny and everyone there always gets it right and always reaches out to the doctors and insurance if they need any additional information. Lenny's also helped the rest of our family to track down very important prescription medications that no other pharmacies could obtain, not the big box pharmacy chains and not even the few small independent family pharmacies close to our home. They always go above and beyond to help. There was one time a few years back when Epi-pens were impossible to locate anywhere. Lenny happened to have some in the pharmacy and set 2 aside for my son and I as he knows what severe allergies we both have. We hadn't contacted him looking for them but he knew from our records that was something we definitely both needed. I was very impressed at how far they went out of their way for my youngest and I. Consideration and kindness like this is not something a big box pharmacy is going to provide. I've also found a number of hard to find non-pharmacy items there, like unscented deodorant, unscented soaps and other similar products, dye free OTC medicines and different DME products. The prices on those items were excellent. We live out by Fair Haven but I'd drive anywhere for service like this. I can't recommend them enough!

I went to go pick up two prescriptions, one of which was filled, but the other wasn't. I was told…read morethat they would not fill the script because there is an OTC option available. I looked in store, and there was no OTC option available at all. I took a look online, and Walgreens does not even offer that product. I am not sure why my script was refused to be filled for an OTC that they do not carry. Why the pharmacist did not just ask if I would like it filled regardless is beyond me, and it's a sign of disregard for my medical needs. Any time your doctor sends a script, and they tell you it should be ready by the time you get there, you still have to wait a minimum of twenty minutes. Sometimes you're told to wait while they help others behind you. If you call ahead, that does not change anything. If you are a day late, you have to wait for a refill. Honestly, pharmacists get paid way too much to treat their patients poorly, and I think no one should use this pharmacy in its current state. I have used this pharmacy for years and service has only gotten worse.

I walked up to the register expecting this to take maybe thirty seconds. The cashier looked at me and said, "I'll be right back." No problem in theory. Except what followed was one of the slowest, most passive aggressive performances I have ever seen in a store. He did not just walk slowly. He dragged himself across the store like every step was an act of protest. He went to deal with another customer somewhere else, moving at a speed that said very clearly, "Your time means nothing to me." No apology, no "Give me one moment," nothing. Just vanishing while I am standing there at the register like an idiot holding two candy bars. Then the return trip. Same slow shuffle back. No urgency, no acknowledgment that I had been waiting this whole time. By the time he finally got back, several minutes had passed for something that should have taken less than a minute. I told him, very calmly given the situation, that he should have checked me out first. His response was, "He was ahead of you." That explanation would carry more weight if he had shown any sign of trying to be efficient or considerate. Instead, he decided to prove a point. He started scanning my two candy bars with exaggerated slow movements, like he wanted to annoy me on purpose. This is not just bad service. It is contempt for the customer. If you work a register, your job is simple. Acknowledge the person standing in front of you. Move with some basic level of urgency. Do not act like ringing up two items is an inconvenience to you. And absolutely do not respond to feedback by intentionally slowing down more. Management needs to take a serious look at who they put at the front of the store, because this kind of attitude drives people away. I will go out of my way to avoid this location from now on.
