They also sell the massive tubs for $40 and the scoopers (for about the same price). If they do not have the tub in the flavor you prefer they can place an order for it (what we were informed while there). We were excited to see one still in operation and not too far from us to share in the joy of grabbing a scoop with our littles. We ordered 3 single scoops and paid about $8. Most of the flavors available seemed to contain dairy so keep that in mind if you're DF/sensitive. read more

Yelp deleted my review because it did not include first hand experience even though I wrote it right after my experience?! Pharmacy called me randomly and said they're canceling my prescription with no explanation. I call back and the employee starts yelling at me belligerently. I then drive down there demanding they transfer my prescription since it had two refills left. They finally admit they found out they're closing so they're trying to cancel prescriptions. Place is pretty empty now with vacant shelves and very depressed employees. Do yourself a favor and get your prescriptions transferred before you get a call. They'll refuse to help so have the new pharmacy initiate the transfer. read more

Throw in a box of cones and it's instant happiness. This location has your basics covered. Ice cream counter, pharmacy, beauty and snacks. The real golden ticket is that Chocolate malted crunch. My bf and I drove here from Costa Mesa because the Rite Aid On 17th St in Costa Mesa hangs up the phone, refuses to give doctors prescribed inhalers, and is rude to customers after the doctor called over 5x. Yen at the pharmacy was so sweet. Even the other Rite Aid on Valley View was not kind. I think it's the corona virus. I'm sorry these workers are going through all these rude customers. Sorry that my bf gets frustrated but still non confrontational when he has trouble breathing Yen Yen Yen at the pharmacy was the only calm, sweet, and real person around. She is worth the drive. Went to this pharmacy trying to get my prescription for a cream which the other 2 pharmacies were not able to fulfill. I got helped by the pharmacy manager Yen Nguyen. She is so friendly, professional and very efficient. She's also very patient listening to my complaint. Within half an hour, after she called my doctor and insurance, I got my medicine. I would strongly recommend this pharmacy to anyone. It's the only pharmacy I found that has pharmacist who truly cares for her patient, who would take care and solve the problem instead of sending them away. read more

Agree with the other good reviews about this store. This place is recently been remodeled and superclean and bright! I have all the usual stuff that anybody pharmacy would have, but the staff is extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with. The pharmacist even corrected a prescription error done by physicians assistant. It's a good idea not to overmedicate!! With another store between the house and this one; I could shop at the closer one, but I choose this one instead. The drive-through pharmacy window is open reasonable hours and it's a block from the Eastgate park. Plus it's located in the Von's shopping center with lots of other stores, very convenient. Besides that Rite Aid has old-style scoop ice cream most of their stores. Where else can you get black cherry flavor on your way to a Concert in the Park? Well recommended.... read more

Best experience ever with a pharmacy! The pharmacy manager Yen Nguyen is super friendly, very personable and makes you feel so welcome. She is also very knowledgeable and so helpful. I had a bad congestion which made me unable to sleep well for several days. She recommended a product that helps clear it up in 2 hours and I can get a good night sleep! Yen Nguyen is really nice and helpful. She is a great pharmacist. Although there is a CVS near my house but I rather drive a little further to this pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled. Everyone in the pharmacy is also very friendly. They always greet me by name. read more

I first off would like to say it was a sad day when my insurance changed and I could no longer use this rite aid for my prescriptions, I have quite a few and it is 500 fr away from my house. But the close proximity was not the only reason for my sadness it was the helpfulness and amazing pharmacy technician Wendy and the head pharmacist that always made sure I was taken care off and their concerns and thoughtful words made my days better when I got to see them when picking up My medication. This has to be one of the rudest, most incompetent Rite Aid pharmacies around. Our doctor called in a prescription early in the morning and over six hours later they still haven't filled it. We called and they rudely informed us "it hasn't been filled yet" and hung up on us. Called back and explained the patient was in pain from COVID-19 and needed the medication. Again, "Evelyn" was short and condescending. Said she'd "get the pharmacist to work on it" and tersely informed us "we're doing a lot of tests". Well, what about your sick patients Evelyn??? Do you even feel a duty to them or are they too much trouble for you? Maybe one day you'll be sick and hurting and be treated like crap. Do yourself a favor and avoid this Rite Aid. I have been coming here since I was a kid, when it was still Thrifty Drugstore - for the ice cream. Of all the Rite Aids, I like this one because the staff is so nice. The pharmacists are so knowledgeable and supportive. And Melanie is awesome, and it keeps me coming back. I got a courtesy call to come get my flu shot. Now that is good follow up. Laughably slow drive thru pharmacy. Had an appointment for a covid test at 12:15, arrived a few minutes early and was only behind ONE car, didn't get my test until a bit after 12:30. By the time i got to the window, 5 other cars were behind me, and the woman made me pull up to do the test and get back in line to return my test, despite the test only taking about a minute to do myself. I did as she told me, came back in line, and waited 50 minutes just to give my test back. You would think in the middle of a pandemic, a new variant on the rise, and with so much emphasis on getting tested and vaccinated, there would be a better system in place to make sure their drive thru testing center would be more efficient. It should not be taking over an hour to do a nasal swab test when i was only behind a total of 6 cars!!!! read more

When I was a kid, I grew up near a Thrifty's which was a competitor to Long's. Those don't seem to ever have existed in NorCal but there is a proliferation of Rite Aid (which I don't really go to) which bought out the Thrifty chain. When going into this Rite Aid, I saw that they still serve the Thrifty ice cream. What a blast from the past. Instead of the normal hald ball shaped scoopers, they have a cylindrical scoop gun, that picks up and shoots out a uniform can shaped form each time. Wonder why this never took off? read more

The two gentlemen who helped me were quite nice and personable. The iced cream o ices are ridiculous. I love the ice cream but last time the freezers broke and I had to buy a pint which I paid for that costs more money than an actual carton of regular ice cream. Yen Nguyen, the pharmacy manager, is the best pharmacist in town. We came from a different pharmacy and impressed how great the service that we received from Yen and her staff was. My medications, which were out of stock from the other pharmacy, were done within 15 minutes and Yen spent time to explain about the medications and also informed us about all the vaccines that are recommended for our ages. Yen is very understandable, patient, friendly, knowledgeable and truly cares for her patients. The other pharmacy staff was also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back! read more

Do not come here for your Covid vaccine. The pharmacy staff takes FOREVER and doesn't have any urgency in doing anything. The staff isn't very helpful. They ignore you until you get their attention, and they don't communicate with each other. I came in for my appointment and waited over and hour!! This happened both times. Despite being the only person in line it took nearly 5 minutes for the cashier to check my 3 items. I got two cards and a big sweaty bottle of water. Of course genius girl dumps my fancy cards into a bag the proceeds to through that big sweaty bottle of water on top. Bending and making my letters moist. I pulled them out and was met with a shitty attitude. I handed over a $20 to pay for my purchase and somehow she put in a random number and it shows I owe a balance. Unable to think on her own she freezes......stands there for a few minutes.....jaw drooping, saliva starting to build up.....she looks at me....and tells me I need to pay more money. $1.82 to be exact. I start to explain how I gave her $20.00 and she entered $2.00 but realized it was futile. I understand that we all have bad days....but don't be a bitch about it. read more

I only got the ice cream here. Workers took care of me quickly for a 3 scoop chocolate ice cream on a sugar cone. They even gave me a cup just in case my ice cream might fall off. Great service If it was a cute girl caring about the well being of my ice cream like that, I would have married her. Went in to fill a prescription, was told to come back in 2 hours, went back then was told that my insurance was not good in Orange County that I had to go to LA County Rite Aid so I go back to the one I usually go to. They end up not being able to fill my prescription because the rite aid in OC transferred the original prescription to their store and instead of putting it on hold they deleted it all together. Now I have to go back to my doctor for another prescription...This was for my mom who is schizophrenic...she doesn't have another appointment with her doctor until next month and she is out of meds...thanks Rite Aid for making things even more complicated! read more
