The pharmacy never answers the phone and takes forever when at the drive-up window... I've had nothing but sub-par service from this place over the years. Also there's a random bag of chicken tenders currently on display. UPDATE!!! This place hasn't changed at all in 3 years. Service is terrible! I had a prescription sent in yesterday at 6pm and it's now 430 the next day. When I called they hung up on me the first time but when I finally got through they sounded irritated and told me they were working on it and I need to wait for the notification call. I've never had a good experience here and it's no wonder they are closing these rite aid pharmacies soon. read more

I came in for an ice cream and with one lady in front and the employee Demetrius was taking his time and then continued to chat after the transaction. It really felt like a waste of my time but i didn't care until Demetrius started giving me attitude for asking for samples and then i asked for a sugar cones and he told me he doesn't know what that is and they don't even sell those and then i asked for a waffle cone and he told me i could only get it with 3 scoops even tho i asked if i could have at least just 2 scoops and he said only 3. idk why you need to have 3 but he then suggested i get something like the sugar cone which is what i initially asked for. Will not be back to this location, walked in a there was 2 older women and one made a comment to the other saying to keep her eyes open. . I was with my 3 year old to get ice cream. Then we try and say hi and she turns her back and waits a few minutes then rudely says if you want a flavor on that side we don't have it that's why it's not open ... We put our things back and left, there is no reason she should be working in customer service. read more

I do not feel safe coming to this Rite-Aid. Every time I've shopped here, there is a robbery. The poor workers try their hardest to stop the people from stealing, but they just casually walk out of the store with diapers, liquor, etc. There needs to be some type of security for me to feel safe to visit. COVID-19 phase: Masks worn by workers and required. The store is very clean and well taken care of. They have it all from food, holiday decorations, all different medicines, alcohol, magazines, etc. I ended up buying frosted mini wheat's strawberry and cookies & cream rice Krispies cereals. They were on sale two for $5. Yes! They have sales everywhere! They also have self-check out if you want given these times! The worker Pamela was very kind and welcoming. Checked me out. Pharmacy staff (female) was rude and not very pleasant to work with. While this is closest to home, and I routinely pick up shopping items from Rite aid, I will be changing to another pharmacy. I could have chalked it up to a bad day for that person, but even the female front cashiers have been rude. So it's literally been a bad experience every time. They need to look at making some internal changes and maybe some staff training on courtesy and customer service. read more

Due to the convenience of living very close to this pharmacy, I have put up with their appalling customer service for years now, but I finally reached my limit. First of all, if you are wanting to speak to someone in the pharmacy directly, get ready to be sent back to the automated system's main menu over and over again. Or even better, they will sometimes quietly pick up the phone...and proceed to hang up on you. You're never put on hold. They simply ignore your calls, hoping you'll give up and stop calling. Secondly, you want your prescriptions filled on time? Well, only if you're lucky and have an "easy" prescription to fill. For years now, I have had to call once every single month so that my prescription (a controlled substance which isn't "easy" for them to fill) would actually be filled. If I don't call, it's not filled. I have always DREADED having to call them, not knowing if they'll answer, and if they do, if they'll treat me as though I'm the biggest pain like they have countless times before. Finally, I want to say that the horrible treatment I experienced at this pharmacy over the years has genuinely caused me emotional trauma. I am now terrified of having to call any pharmacy because I just assume I'll be treated in the same horrible manner that this pharmacy treated me for years. It gives me terrible anxiety even thinking about having to make a simple phone call thanks to the pharmacy staff at this Rite Aid. I am prescribed a controlled substance which means they have to follow strict guidelines when filling it which is clearly a nuisance for them, but you should never treat the patient as though they're the burden. I was never anything but kind and extremely polite but was always spoken to as though I was a drug seeker or inferior to them somehow. It is unacceptable and grotesque behavior. My story is NOT unique. They do this to customers/patients regularly. Even my psychiatrist is aware of their reputation. Unfortunately, the review I wanted to post which described my final interaction with an especially MEAN staff member was too long, but I guess this will have to suffice. First off thank you Karsta in pharmacy!!! For the excellent customer service and for just being a good person in general ... Just spent an hour at Walgreens trying to do what she did and a whole 45 seconds... I came in every smiles very warming and welcoming I needed to get a shot she checked to see if they had it in stock and then I sign some papers bomb now I'm waiting to get my shot... That whole process explained took Walgreens over an hour to do and they couldn't even do it right... They couldn't tell me if they had anything in stock... They couldn't even tell me if they had it they wouldn't even acknowledge I was there..... I know we are all busy... But it just takes a couple seconds to appreciate someone and Karsta was the hero of my night As a nurse I know the process and Carla gave an awesome shot knows exactly how and where to inject best service thank you thank you thank you thank you Rite Aid !!!! Terrible service. I was waiting to get ice cream for a while and although there were three workers available they kept charging others despite me arriving there before them. After they finished charging the others they would just look at me. They kept looking at me and just kept doing other things. I had to call them to help me just for them to say they didn't have what I want. Disappointing. read more

This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to!! This is the only pharmacy close to me that has a drive thru which is the only reason I come here. First of all they never answer the phone, and they're so quick to put medications back. Second, All of the employees at the pharmacy besides the girl with glasses are extremely rude!! I went 3 times in a row to be told to "come back tomorrow" for medication I needed for a surgery and every time they said they were "too busy or forgot." It was over a week until I got my medication thank god I went 2 weeks before surgery to get it. The ghetto girl with the terrible ombré hair working yelled in my face and gave me so much attitude and the pharmacist did nothing about it. In fact he backed her up. I was so shocked especially because she also did not want to give me back my drivers license. I'm looking into switching pharmacies asap. read more

So we go to pickup a new prescription as well as one the store called the day before to get. While they wait in line, I browse the store. Wow they have a candy I like. 2 for the price of one the tag says. I go to pay for it, she asks if I have a card I reply no. Then charged full price. Instead of taking a moment to explain the card and sign me up. She lets me cancel the transaction. (Didn't need candy anyway). Meanwhile, I head back to wait. The New prescription gets filled. When asked about the other he is told there are no more. She is nice checks again, and comes back says we are waiting on your Dr. Now he just came from the doc yesterday. Anyway, by the 6 or so blocks it takes to get home, guess what is on the answering machine. Yeap, your prescription is ready for pick up. Somewhere the left hand is not communicating with the right. Just an entire unproductive day and either untrained or uncaring about the job in both areas of the store. read more

Do not park on the east side of the building facing West street. My car was broken into in broad day light. The store manager said they couldn't provide me with a video because there are no working cameras on that side of the building. All they told me was to call the police. read more

OMG not again .. did a transfer. During the pick up I had a transfer coupon to the tech. She says what do you want me to do with this.. a wipe your A** with it lol. I say I transferred from CVS and she says I didn't. I had to insist I did. She goes back to the computer and talks to another employee and finally loads up the $25 onto my Rite Aid card. If she would have come back to say that I didn't transfer, I would have had to say I don't use your crappy Pharmacy except for transfers. read more

I don't have much of an opinion about the rest of the store but I HATE this pharmacy. More than once I have attempted to call the pharmacy during business hours and no one in the pharmacy department will pick up the phone. Today I spent 15 minutes trying to talk to someone in the pharmacy without them so much as picking up the phone and saying "I'm sorry we are really busy, can I put you on hold," or anything like that. PICK UP THE PHONE!!!!! This is completely unprofessional. It's like there is no one there when I know for a fact the pharmacy is open. When I ring through to the regular store workers, they transfer me to the pharmacy promising me they will at least pick it up and then I sit on hold for 5 minutes without anyone in the pharmacy picking it up, again, to even take a moment to express that they are busy and will help me as soon as possible. I called my doctor to have my prescription switched to a different pharmacy and I will not be returning to this Rite Aide store. read more

It seems to take forever to get a prescription done here. Most RX places, it's what 15 minutes? My two most recent trips, was 24 hours, and then 45 minutes. Both were antibiotics, so it's not like it was a narcotic or anything. Just takes forever. read more

Do not go to this pharmacy. They were unable to fill pain meds after surgery for more than 6 hours. They said they had to have two pharmacists in house because it was a controlled medicine and were unable to transfer the script. Ridiculous! read more

I seldom go in here to buy anything but ice cream. Up until about 1-2 years ago they had a good selection and both freezers were in operation. Now........well, one freezer is usually burnt out and the second has a less than stellar selection. Many times there are brand new tubs of ice cream they say can't be used because they are frozen, your joking right? Not sure if anyone told them that ice cream is supposed to be frozen. Anyhow, I can only hope that someone explains this phenomenon to them someday. Now it's to the point where the situation is only getting worse so I just take my business to baskin robbins. And guess what.......they never told me their ice cream was frozen and couldn't be served. Hopefully the manager sees this and wants better. Still amazing that he/she has let it go this long with no solution. Don't disappoint yourself with this place. Would not recommend. read more

Last week was buy 1 get 1 50% off of my fave aveeno body wash. 50% off gardening products, got miracle gro fertilizer for half off, toms-no flouride toothpaste was 2/$7. This is the worst pharmacy ever! Every prescription filled by them has taken days to fill and there phone system is a nightmare. It takes several attempts to be able to speak to someone. There a several disconnects or the phone rings and rings then loops around back to the menu. My doctor sent a prescription to them that I needed immediately and it took them 2 days to fill it. After finally getting through to them I explained my immediate need and it made no difference to them. I still received the medication 2 days later with no phone call that it was ready One prescription called in by the hospital after my surgery a month ago still has not been processed because they have no followed up with my insurance. Good thing I had an old bottle of the same medication I have been using. read more

This review is limited to the pharmacy where I had 2 ridiculous experiences trying to get medications for my sons. The first time, the "customer service" rep would not even accept the prescription without an insurance card. I offered to call with insurance information once I arrived at my home a few blocks away but she insisted that I return with the actual card. I asked if she would accept an electronic version and she said nothing, but made an annoyed face. I went to CVS who was happy to accept the electronic insurance card. Today, my son had surgery and I walked in, with his insurance card, and had the pleasure of being served by the same person as before. She asked if he had ever used their pharmacy in the past, and I wasn't sure and said so. She pulled up his information and apparently we had filled a prescription for antibiotics at a rite aid in another city. She said I would need to go to that location to fill the prescription...I don't know about you, but I was not about to take my poor, just out of surgery, son to a different city to get his medications. Back to CVS, where the staff was friendly and were happy to do their job. Never again will I bother with rite aid for my pharmacy needs. read more

I am an Iraq vet suffering from severe PTSD. Today I went to go pick up the medications that I need for this. I was told when I phoned in my refill that my meds would be ready for pick up at 3:30. Being across town, and knowing the track record for this pharmacy never being on time with anything, I showed up at 6:30. The drive through teller's name was Anna. She told me that they were running behind and that I could come back tomorrow or wait in the parking lot for 45 minutes. I reminded her that I was told they'd be ready 3 hours ago. In the rudest and most condescending tone possible, Anna said, "And thats WHY I said we are behind.". I asked her why I didn't receive a courtesy call notifying me that they were behind hours before I drove clear across town; only to be disappointed. Her tone, attitude, and unprofessionalism only got worse form there as she replied, "Well how are we supposed to ever get caught up doing that? It's not like we have time to call each and every one of you!". Because it was obvious that in her mind it was somehow my fault they that pharmacy team was a failure, I asked to speak to her manager. I don't know if she was simply unwilling to provide one or if she was telling the truth, but her reply was' "I don't have a manager.". I told her that I felt they could obviously benefit from having one. She quickly informed me that I could, "go get my medications filled somewhere else". The funny thing is that I've tried several times to get them to refill me at a store closer to my home, but it never seems to happen. This is the same store that once gave my pregnant wife someone else's prescription. Avoid this place as though your life depends on it. It probably does. I did not want to go to Iraq, and I certainly never asked to be married to these drugs as a result. But the last thing I should have to deal with is a rude, ignorant, and obstinate clerk who seems to think that the failures of her department are the fault of their customers.
