First, as I was in self-checkout, she applied a $5 off coupon to my purchase, since she said she needed to test it. A few minutes later, I came back through with another purchase and she offered me another coupon! I had just gotten a 40% off one with my last receipt and said I'd use that instead, but I apparently didn't know how. I fed it into the machine prematurely and Kimberly kindly opened up the machine and retrieved my coupon so we could apply it correctly, without acting at all put out by my mistake. I didn't catch his name but he was able to grab the supervisor on duty and another team member to help me get my stuck debit card out of the machine. And no, it wasn't stuck inside the card reader, my debit card literally slipped into the cracks of the register near the scanner and bagging area. Both him and I saw it slip in disbelief, with our jaws dropped, it was probably a 1/100,000 chance it would happen. Immediately he alerted another staff member and his supervisor on duty. They closed up our lane, opened up the machine from the inside out and helped me grab my debit card. I was close to letting them know I would just cancel my card and order a replacement, but they really really helped me out. I really appreciate it guys. Thank you to the team and the gentleman handling the self-check out lane today 6/6/24 @ 7PM.
