She was welcoming, warm, and friendly. She even welcomed the big snowflakes coming down during this Lake effect storm. She made my hubby a wonderful Italian sub sandwich with mayonnaise and Italian dressing. It was good and gone in a snap! Devoured! The menu was very extensive for such a tiny venue. Pizza, fries, subs, milkshakes, and more. Grant it that this same sweet lady was the orchestrator of this one man band. It was nice to see all the other patrons coming in after us were patient, understanding, and accommodating while she finished up our sub. I found a lot of cool snacks. And I feel in love with a thing called an ole school cornflake chewy! It's like a 1000 better than a rice crispy treat! Where have these been all my life!!! Peanut butter perfection with the perfect chew! I loved this little venue and the people who made this a great stop!!

Having driven this road hundreds of times over the course of my life, I knew there was a gas station in this spot, but I'd never needed to stop. That said, I had the pleasant surprise of meeting "THEE Store" today, aptly named because there aren't really any other stores for miles. We stopped along the road (not much of a parking lot) and went inside. I didn't see a bathroom, so I asked the guy behind the counter and he said I could use the bathroom in the back. Keep in mind, this is a small country gas station, so the images that came to mind when offered a "bathroom in the back" were pretty gross. I couldn't have been more wrong - it was really nice and well kept. I say this because this was my reaction to Thee Store overall - I thought it would be dirty and unpleasant, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It was clean, the employee was very nice, and they had a lot of snacks and drinks (just like any convenience store you'd find in a more populated area). If you're ever driving along Route 522 and need a place for a break, THEE Store is a nice wayspot to stop!

In addition to the above services, everyone I've ever encountered here is honestly happy to be at work. They love their jobs, their coworkers, and their customers. Upon request, any prescription will be explained and dosing instructions will be repeated over and over until the patient (ie, me) is satisfied with their understanding. They also stock a great selection of Tom's of Maine products, a difficult find in Chambersburg! Tried out the online ordering and selected the option to have my order delivered. Ordering was easy, everything in my order was correct. My order was.delivered right on time and the delivery associate was very polite and helpful. Weis hit it out of the park with this one. They get bonus point cause I ordered fresh fried chicken from the deli and it arrived nice and piping hot! Great job Weis!

My wife needed a new pharmacy after changing doctors for convenience. She made certain to have all…read morethe information readily available prior to having the prescription electronically sent, as the medication is quite a delicate one. From the beginning, she felt they were very prejudicial about it, even saying "the insurance needed preauthorization" for a medication she had been taking for over a dozen years. When she called to ask what the issue was, they ran it again and it was just fine. Today, they called to say they couldn't fill the medication because the prescriber wasn't in the immediate area and they could only fill those from the immediate area. Mind you, they've filled it several times but they just "couldn't believe it hadn't been flagged before". It's from less than 3 hours away and insurance is perfectly fine-filled perfectly on time. Then it was a "Good luck finding another pharmacy!" This has been a terrible experience for my wife, who had been so happy to have the ease of a hometown pharmacy. I would suggest you avoid this pharmacy if you aren't a local or have a medication they may not agree with (Even if they don't know why you take it or your health history). It often concerns me that pharmacists have the power to make medical decisions that should be between a patient and their physician. I understand abuse of medications happens, but utilizing common sense happens, as well.

The name Jennie Wade comes from Mary Virginia Jennie Wade, supposedly the only civilian killed during the battle of Gettysburg by a stray bullet, though there is some controversy about whether or not that bullet was in fact stray or aimed. It's certainly nice enough, but as far as gift shops go in the Gettysburg area, really doesn't amount to all that much. Some souvenirs, baskets, jars of jelly, jams and a lot of whatnots. For most things, however, their prices are reasonable. I bought a cucumber dill salad dressing for about a dollar less than I saw in other places. The staff is super friendly and all of the items are uncluttered and well display.
