I had no idea Chambersburg had more than the two Sheetz on either end of the town. But was I ever…read moreso happy to see this location. I was in serious need of facilities and snacks. I nearly ran in here after I parked because I had to use the facilities. Some of the cleanest facilities that I have come across in a Sheetz location. I came out and immediately went to the cooler to grab a few drinks to take home with me. I also browsed a bit to see what snacks they had, but knew I was probably not going to get much here as I still had a long distance to drive and food was very near in my future. Headed to the counter to pay, opting for the regular registers. Got my items from behind the counter, went outside to enjoy the day a bit before getting back into my vehicle.

Years ago, Pennsylvania laws were very strict on beer purchases. You could not even find it in a…read moregrocery store or convenience store. Within the past 5 years or so, that has changed and now you can find craft brew pubs and beer in the convenience store, etc. We discovered this place a year or so ago because it was near the hotel in which we were staying. We were amazed how many different craft beers from across the United States they had in such a small location. They offer products in kegs, six packs, twelve packs, cases, and cans. For anyone looking for craft beer in the area, this is the place!

This is a must-visit destination for pipe smokers…read more The selection of tinned and bulk pipe tobaccos is unparalleled, including many terrific Boswell blends (Cherry Smash is a great aromatic and Northwoods is a stellar choice for those looking to get into English blends). Prices are very reasonable, especially for a brick and mortar store. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and mostly friendly (Alex, in particular, is fantastic--and even the more reserved staff members are helpful). One of the best things about visiting the Chambersburg store is the selection of handmade J.M. Boswell pipes, many of which never make it onto the website. The selection and prices seem to be much better in person and I like being able to hold a pipe before I purchase it. Great smoking lounges upstairs with comfortable places to sit and spend time with friends. Highly recommend.

This is my main grocery store, it's close to home and has about everything I need…read more It's expensive when you buy name brands at full price, so I watch for sales, use coupons, and buy store brands. This particular Giant is pretty busy. Lots of parking available. They have both short, stubby carts and full-sized carts. I see the same usual people at the check-out when I go. They're usually pretty friendly and efficient. Some even strike up a little conversation once and awhile. You have to watch with deals like buy a certain dollar amount and get a certain dollar amount off you order instantly. It does't always ring up right. Just keep an eye on the scanner, or ask the cashier at the end to ensure deals ring up correctly. If they don't, they'll make it right. If you buy produce or meat that you find is rotten, you can return it. I returned meat once and it was hassle-free. This Giant has a clearance section in the back by the restrooms. Sometimes you can find some great things, other times it's just junk. The coffee shop inside this Giant makes some great coffee, and it's not horribly expensive. Always fresh tasting. In the winter, you can sit by the fireplace with your coffee, which is nice. Then go do your shopping. ****Coffee shop has closed***** They don't always have baggers, but cashiers often help you bag items. This Giant carries a nice selection of natural and organic items. They have a great selection of teas as well. If you need gluten-free, they have a decent selection of that, but it's really expensive. The pharmacy here could use some improvement. There is often a sign posted and the gate is down at the window when the pharmacist leaves. I can understand reasoning behind that, but it seems like it happens frequently. I get my prescriptions filled there since they take my insurance. They are nice enough, although sometimes it feels like I'm bothering them or interrupting them a little. There is a great selection of vitamins here, too. Plus, they go on sale often, you can take advantage of buy one get one free from time to time, which is great. They have great selection of health products like a drug store has, too. While it's generally more expensive to shop here, you can still do decently with coupons and sales.
