Great customer service, nice staff. Today was the last day sale 90% off everything today.. 50% off beer, wine alcohol. The 24-water pack for 0.43 and i posted a picture to show how many other things we got today. The staff have been laid off as well so they were able to get first dibs on items at 7am prior to the store opening at 9am. The store was a mess, long lines, and people running around. Cashier girl with the glasses who worked around 11:30am-12:00pm on September 15th, didn't even check my ID for my alcohol. I already had a lot on my plate prior to arriving at rite aid, I didn't even think anything of it until I left the store. As a bartender, if checking ID wasn't the first thing I did, let alone not even ask for it, I'd be fired immediately and my license would be revoked. So she needs to be fired immediately because she could actually give or has given alcohol to a minor and that's completely unacceptable. Also this place has no problem stalking you around the store, racially profiling you, or anything harassing. This place deserves no stars whatsoever. Absolutely horrible customer service. read more

Today I didn't go inside due to illness but I did have the pleasure of a very kind Pharmacist give me the run down on my meds. In the 45 minutes it took me to get from my Dr's office to here, they claimed my prescription was never sent, EVEN when I showed them the phone app confirmation. I called my Dr, and they confirmed it was received to her on the phone. Then she tells me the tech who fills them is at lunch and to come back tomorrow. Really? I wouldn't be here unless I needed the medication right now. She then said, the technician is at lunch and then after that, the pharmacist is going to lunch, so I should come back. I said " I'm not going anywhere until one of you fills my prescription." The pharmacist then got up from his stool and said he would fill it. Now as I'm sitting here writing this, a car pulls up to the window and she tells him "It's not ready yet. It will be ready in an hour." They Guy In the car yells "that's what you told me a fucking hour ago!!!" From the slow ass people at the front check stands who have lines all the way back to the pharmacy, to the pharmacy that can't fill a simple prescription, I would avoid this place altogether. The only reason I considered going to this pharmacy is because its just across our new house , had i known the service would be terrible, i am swtiching back to the one in Roseville square which was a topnotch for me. Whenever i call this pharmacy, its either they would put me on hold and never gets back until i hang up the phone or nobody picks up. Drive thru was a joke. Took 20 mins last time i tried it so just opted to go inside the store and wait additional 15 mins because only 1 person was manning the cashier ( the lady with a reddish white hair is amazing btw) So yeah, im going back to the one in Roseville square. Went to pick up my script and the Pharmacists Job said I had just had it filled. I told him I didn't, and I asked him to call the CVS that he believed filled it ten days earlier. He said "I'm not calling them". I asked him to call my insurance. He said "I'm not calling anyone". I asked him to help me straighten this out and that I had picked up my script 31 days prior, he said "no". He said, again, "you just had it filled". To which I asked if he was calling me a liar, he raised his eyebrows and looked away. I have been having my script filled here for over a year, but last month they didn't have my medication and I had to pick it up from CVS as their pharmacist at the time recommended because CVS uses a different distributor. When I called my insurance they told me what I already knew, that I had not filled it since my last months script when I got it from CVS. They called Rite Aid to discuss with Job, but told me the pharmacy never picked up. I called CVS to assure they didn't have on record I picked ANYTHING up after last month and they confirmed that I hadn't, they called Rite Aid for me and I have not heard from Rite Aid yet. The way I was treated by this pharmacists, as if I was trying to score heroin, was unacceptable. I have never been treated like this, implied I am a liar and, apparently, an addict trying to get more meds than prescribed (I've been taking this medication for 16 years). I had my daughter with me for this, and if I didn't I probably would have said some things to this pharmacist who refused to listen to his patient, refused to help, and violated the "Do no harm" pledge. After this gets straightened out I will transfer to another pharmacy even though Rite Aid is closest to my house. Nobody should be treated like they're a liar until confident of it...and he didn't bother calling either options (CVS or my health plan) to confirm what I was telling him, the truth. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I keep thinking that it might get better but every time it has progressively gotten worse. The Pharmacist himself has been incredibly rude on several occasions, not just to me but other customers while I am standing in line. There is a lady in the back also who is incredibly rude to the elderly people and seems to yell towards them instead of trying to talk louder for them to hear her. Listen to her yell at a hard of hearing gentleman who was so confused. All she needed to do was slow down and talk in his direction. Instead she just yelled so we all could be aware of how irritated she was. I came in at 3pm for Rx, was told they are working on it and come back in 2 hours. No problem. Come back at 5.... still not ready, "come back in 2 hours we are really busy and short staffed" came back at 7..... , finally came back at 9pm and still nothing !!!! It is now the following day 11am and guess which pharmacy still does not have my RX done. How is this ok!!! Why do you keep telling me to come back in 2 hours!!! If you are this short staffed why are you not hiring more people to help. From the rude service of your staff to how poorly managed the pharmacy is you guys are the worst. This is not from just one experience, this comes from over a year of crappy customer service . No stars, this place is the worse, bar none. I've never in my life dealt with a more inept pharmacy. Everything with these people is a fight, and takes numerous phone calls. They makes so many mistakes, I can't keep up with them. You talk to one person, and then tell you something, then someone else tells you the opposite. This place apparently does not check ID. I had somebody steal my credit card and make charges at this location. If the person that was attending would have paid attention this would not have happened. Luckily I was able to contact my bank and had the charges disputed, too bad for them cuz now they lossed out on the money. read more

If you want to be totally rip then by all means use this pharmacy. I've been charged $71.00 for less pills that I could get at 10 pharmacies in the area for $27.02 - $30.15. If I could give a negative amount of stars I would. Okay so first trip to pharmacy, the pharmacy tech was very rude to me. She scoffed and rolled her eyes at me when she saw what my prescription was. I had back surgery so I am prescribed norco for the pain, but I guess she assumed I didn't need it? Not sure. Then it took them 3 weeks to fill it. If I don't get the rude pharmacist tech, I get one of the other ones who has no idea what I'm talking about anytime I ask any sort or question. If I had to pick, i would choose the rude blonde lady over the ones who have no clue how to do their jobs. They don't ask for your ID when you pick up a prescription. I sent a friend to pick mine up and all they asked him for was my birthday and then they gave him my Norco. On two separate occasions I have showed up and their only pharmacist on duty has been at lunch so they refuses to give me my medication without a consult from the pharmacist. Keep in mind that I've picked up the same medication several times but without the pharmacist whom was at lunch for one hour they wouldn't give it to me. I had to sit In my car with my baby for an hour until the pharmacist came back. When I asked the tech why I couldn't have my mediation that was prescribed to me by my doctor all she said to me was because it's a controlled substance. I asked for clarification as to what that meant and for a more in depth response and she just repeated the same phrase over and over again ultimately shutting the microphone off from the window and waking away from me. She was a heavy set younger woman with brown hair. In summary, if you have any other option then take it. This place is going to make your life more difficult than whatever ailment you're using the pharmacy for In the first place. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever experienced. First, you have to go inside. It's about 25 to 30 mins for each car. My daughter was very sick and couldnt get out of the car. There was one car in front of me. 40 mins later, with a line of cars behind me, I was finally pulling up to BE HELPED!! I come here because it's close to home but good Lord, the 15 min drive to somewhere farther would be faster. Go elsewhere people. Save yourself the frustration. read more

I get the same prescription every month and its always the same old excuses. We're out, its taking longer than expected to fill, we made a mistake, etc, etc. Same damn thing every damn month. My wife and I went to purchase Sudafed a few days ago and the pharmacy tech first didn't want to sell her name brand Sudafed. He kept pushing the generic rite aid brand which she did not want. Finally he grabs a box of Sudafed from behind the counter which was already opened. He taped the box and tried to pass it off as an unopened box. We were watching him the entire time and said no we want an unopened box. After some huffing he then gets us a new unopened box. I will never use this pharmacy again. Called at 3pm to see if my rx were ready and the clerk said wasnt ready yet but within the hour showed up at 4:30 at drive through and was told not ready with a couple of excuses. Then went back at 5:45pm went inside waited about 30 min in line abd was helped and was told still not ready but should be ready in 20 min. So sad and wrong. Unorganized and don't pay attention to details. My father is on a blood thinner medication called Eliquis. We called in a refill request a week and half prior to him finishing his meds. We call about 4 days later asking for status and we're told the PCP office has not approved the medication. I called my father PCP the same day and they sent a message to the PCP for a refill as urgent. We call the pharmacy 3 days straight after a 3 days later and kept being told they're still waiting for the PCP but all his other meds have been filled. At this point my father is about 1 day with out his blood thinner meds. I called the pharmacy today who tell me they're still waiting on the PCP. I called the PCP who said they sent all meds for refill on the same day which was the 29th. I called the pharmacy and before completing my sentence was cut off by the girl who picked up the phone. She tells me the same story once again. I told her about the meds being sent on the 29th and she needs to pull up that rx. When she pulls is up low and behold his blood thinner med was approved since the 29th. She then has the audacity to tell me come pick it up tomorrow. I asked her so you're now telling me my dad is okay without taking Eliquis for 2 days. She says she'll talk to the pharmacist who most have realized they f*** up and agreed to give my father a emergency supply. It's concerning no one thought of looking at the rx until I the patient family member had to tell them how to do there job! Absolutely not acceptable. read more

I used to prefer Walgreens down the street, but lately I am a Rite Aid fan. The decorations for various holidays and Christmas are better priced and with a larger variety than their drugstore competitors. (around holidays I will be here a lot since I go overboard on decorating...its a sickness I'm sure). Employees have been nice and even talkative at times. Generally has exactly what I need with frequent sales or coupons available. A little bit of everything for your wandering aimlessly pleasure from as seen on TV products to kitchen supplies to books and ice cream...My husband doesn't like to sit in the car and wait for me as I will always come out with three more items than what I went in for. Pharmacy staff is horrible! Both the pharmacist and the pharmacy techs. They never seem to be able to get my prescriptions right and it seems to be always my fault. My fault that a prescription was sent by the doctors office on Friday but rite aide didn't get it until Saturday! My fault that no two people seem to know what the procedures are. My poor doctor probably thinks I'm a prescription pill hoarding person because they can never find the prescription and always have to call the doctor for another one. Staff has no listening skills whatsoever. They don't listen they wait to talk and they talk over you. Not a good combination for people we are supposed to trust with medication thats going into our bodies. If you have the attention span of a gnat, how Am I going to trust that you're not giving me cyanide instead of my thyroid pill? So in addition to calling my doctors office for a prescription refill AGAIN (because now the pharmacist is being belligerent and won't do it) I will also be looking for a new pharmacy. Clean store, friendly employees for the most part. They have Thrifty ice cream, but nowhere to eat it. I have always found that strange. There should be some tables inside or even outside so you don't have to stand around and look like a dork. You can get some killer deals with coupons and sales, but Rite Aid really makes you work for it- watching videos, printing store coupons. They have changed their coupon policies recently for the worse and their +Ups rewards (printed on store receipt) expire earlier than they should. All those games take up too much headspace. CVS is a whole lot easier. read more

Just moved to the area from Robla, through I would have my prescriptions change to this pharmacy from the one in Norwood, after waiting in the line for 35 minutes I was told rudely that I would have to have my doctor contact the store. Very poor customer service I did file a complaint with corporate And satisfied customer will not be using this Rite Aide anytime soon read more

My issue is with the fake a** "security guard" ! I come here everyyyy day mind you and every time he's there he chooses to follow ME !? Every freaking time and what's funny is he will follow me while there is CLEALY people in there who are actually stealing like yesterday(October 1st 4:11 pm ) I went in to this store and he starts following me a few times we where shoulder to shoulder dang near and I had to say something! And then I pass by this "customer " who was clearly stealing but he didn't follow Her around ? Then As soon as I get in line he goes back up to the front and stops walking around ! THEN this lady who I seen stealing walks right PASSED EVERYONE in line and HIM AND has a bag full of stuff and walks out the doors it starts beeping and he does nothing !!! But stand there ! I would love to speak to the manger about this situation to because this isn't the first time this has happened it takes a lot for me to write these and Iv had it as of yesterday! read more

This has been our main go-to pharmacy since we moved to Antelope almost 15 years ago. We not only get our prescriptions there, but also pick up grocery or personal care items while we are there... a lot. This pharmacy has been going downhill for a several years now, is understaffed, and s l o w.... It started with prescriptions not being filled the same day, even if I called in ahead of time. When I arrived after working all day, the answer: "oh its not ready yet, can you come back in an hour?" No. I called ahead- I've worked all day, need to go home and make dinner, go to bed and start all over again tomorrow. And then you want me to get back in my car and drive back over for something that you have had all day (and sometimes a several days) to fill? I don't think so. In the past two years, in addition to this huge inconvenience, they added special hours where the pharmacist is having a break where you can't even GET your prescription if it was new to you OR a change in dosage of a medication that you had already been using. That's right, only ONE pharmacist working now, so of course he needs meal breaks. However, first of all, why aren't there two pharmacists like before? Given how long it takes to get meds filled, it certainly isn't because the pharmacy isn't busy enough. Additionally, on week days, besides the lunch break, there is a dinner break that is from 6 to 7 p.m. Yep, that's right-- when people are trying to pick up meds and get home after work. And on weekends the break time actually CHANGES: on Sat it's 1-2, and on Sunday it's 2-3. Now, I will get to my last straw. I've been ill for a week. Coughing all night every night, and sleeping very little. I saw my doctor yesterday, who ordered a chest x-ray and called in a cough syrup, along with an antibiotic that I could pick up over the weekend if a) I got worse, or b) the x-ray showed an infection. So, last night after work, I call to check the hours so that I don't visit during the "break". I ask if the pharmacist is there. He says yes, I am the pharmacist and I am here". I ask if he will be there in 15 minutes, and he says yes. He then checks to see if my prescription is ready. He says he has the cough syrup and the antibiotic ready. I tell him that I will get only the cough syrup, not the antibiotic- yet. He's quiet on the other end of the line and I explain what the doctor told me. He says okay, and I drive over. The drive thru line has 3 cars, so I go in. The line inside has 5 people waiting. And please understand, these people are slow: it is going to be a loooooong wait. I'm too sick to wait so decide to return after dinner, but then am too tired to do so. Today, I go back... it's morning, so I know that the pharmacist won't be on break yet. I choose the drive thru window. I sit and wait. Nobody comes to the window. I can't see anyone inside. About 5 minutes later, I see the call button. So tiny I'm not sure if I pushed it correctly the first time. I push a second time. Finally a young lady comes to help.I tell her I want to pick up only the cough syrup. She gets the prescriptions. One is the antibiotic. I repeat that I want only the cough syrup. She gets the pharmacist who tells me that I CAN NOT have one without the other. He tells me that they can ONLY be sold TOGETHER, and that it is because I have an infection. I tell him that I don't have an infection (not that it matters because it is not like the cough syrup works together in any way imaginable to cure an infection!!!), and that I am going to take all prescriptions​ elsewhere. He states that he has to call the doctor for permission to release meds separately. I have never heard of such a thing in all my life, and don't know why he didn't say so LAST NIGHT when we spoke, but I say fine-call them now. I need my medicine. Of course he tells me that it will take time..... and yes.... you all know what's coming next right? Before he can ask me if I would LIKE TO COME BACK in an HOUR, I exclaim "this is 'f****ing' ridiculous"! He starts to explain more and as I start to put my car in gear, I say, to myself- "F**k this!" He tells me to watch my language...I say "whatever", and as I am driving away I hear him scolding me for my language again. The icing on the cake is when I get home, and my doctor's office calls to explain. REALLY? I can't believe that he even made this call. I would have thought it was pretty clear when I left that I would NEVER BE BACK. None the less, he did call for clarification-and I'm not sure why- because according to the medical assistant, he informed her that he wouldn't be releasing it to me today anyway "because of my behavior". In closing, I have never in my life cursed aloud in a business situation and do not behave this way normally...but yep...the end of my rope with this place. Not my finest moment. Everyone here is really polite! I enjoy shopping here for groceries since they always have deals on water, drugstore cosmetics (best mascara) and sodas or other drinks. It's a little pricier at Rite Aid so it's good to look at the Sunday paper for deals. I refer here to Walmart since people here aren't rude to each other or make things difficult while I shop. Went to pick up blood pressure meds. Note on window that "can only get new scripts between 12-1pm and 6-7pm" because walgreens purchased them. Ok that's a joke, but the Pharmacist on duty took his lunch during the 6-7pm time. This is a slap in the face to the public, 6:38pm he was out to lunch. He decides to go between the hours of 6-7pm.
